Good video. I visited Texola in April 2022. My father was born there in 1931. Grandfather was one of the local mechanics. They moved to South Texas circa 1936
And there was more that I didn't have time to see! Would love to go back on a day with better sky conditions, but frankly don't know if I'll get back through there again anytime soon.
Another interesting video and I enjoyed learning some history of this place. Excellent images in spite of the direct Oklahoma sun. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks very much! My video capabilities are pretty basic. I mostly shoot with an Osmo Action and I don't use S-log or anything like that -- although I did use the Cinetone for some of my videos. I have recently acquired a Lumix GH5 and a newer Sony ZV-E10 to try to up my game a little bit. I will be using filters more often going forward with those cameras.
There were some shallow oil and gas Fields out there in Western Oklahoma a long time ago most of them probably were depleted and removed you usually though wherever there was oil activity you could see some signs of it old pipe old tanks something but I may have not remembered correctly they did have at one time at Carbon black plant at Errick which ran on Natural Gas

Hi Keith, now this is my sort of town with gems on every corner. Embrace the contrast, dam that light is harsh ! Love the cafe image.

Awesome place have been there twice! It has changed alot since my last visit. But still enjoy looking and wondering how it used to be.❤

Great to hear from you as always. I hope you're doing well!
Another good one, Keith. You did an excellent job on the images...it's really difficult to do with sunny conditions - you pulled it off ! Stay safe...
Hey thank George! Yeah great location -- terrible light. Sometimes we work with what we're given! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Awesome Keith! Love the exploration factor to these videos and photography.
Thanks! I try to make them feel a little bit POV. I appreciate the nice comment
Wow...love that broken down shack that was leaning sideways. Thanks for another cool tour!
Is that thing not just too crazy? I wonder how far it will lean before it tumbles?
Was just there yesterday, it no longer stands.😢
Awesome job with this whole thing. Thanks
Thank you too!
congratulations on your videos, little docomentaries, can you tell me what camera you make them with, what lens and whether you use s-log2 + nd filter

@@Keithdotson Thanks for your kind clarifications
A picture of a new building is worth a thousand words.
A picture of an old abandoned building is worth a million words.
Well said!
Remember the town from 60 or 70 years ago wasn't there a shallow oilfield somewhere near this town
I didn’t see any signs of that nor did it come up in the stories I read but it doesn’t mean there’s none there. If you remember it I’m sure there is

Thanks for the extra information. Too bad the town has died off.
