I had just started in polymer clay 4 years ago when I saw this video and made these earrings. Such a nice project, and I love your teaching style. Just rewatched this and still learned! I know you've moved on to other types of projects, but I'm glad I still can come back to your polymer clay videos! Hope all is well! :)
Hi Pa! I’m watching your wavy earrings tutorial again for the 40th (that’s an exaggeration of course! 😂!) time... but I want you to know that’s how much I luv watching and listening to you! You should a school craft class!!! That’s what a great teacher you are! Don’t ever forget that... no matter what commenters ever say... and we all know how hurtful they can be. The largest percentage of your true fans absolutely adore your tutorials!!! 😉👍😍🌹
I love the look of these wavy disks! The copper and blue green are very attractive together. Thank you for sharing your technique. I always enjoy your calm teaching style.
Simple, yet delicious! I love it Pat; there are so many uses for these Wavy Disks. Thank you for showing us your method for making them. It is very clever to use "shine" on the outside of the black disks; they are particularly striking. And the necklaces...so attractive. Your work is fabulous (no news there!).
Wonderful Video! Thank You so much for your time and efforts, You are a Great Teacher. I'm so excited about trying this when I'm able. I've been sick and your Videos are Comforting and so Inspiring. Very Good Medicine ❤
Patricia...thank you so much for your video. I love these organic shapes, somehow evokes sea life images! I am absolutely going to try these, in different colors and textures. The technique lends itself to lots of experimenting. I know these vids are time consuming to make and I thank you for putting them out there. :-)
Finally had time to watch and enjoyed every minute of your video, as usual! Lovely, lovely earrings and clever too! What a creative mind you have! Thanks for sharing!❤️👏
You are my guru. Your work inspires me more than anyone elses. I love the waves disc. I'll have to try that soon. I'm wondering if you would do a video on how you finish your sari silk ribbon. I would really appreciate knowing how to do that. I look forward to all your videos with great anticipation.
Thanks Alexandra, I have two videos on finishing cords like Sari ribbon. One is my wire wrapping cords video, and the other is Part 2 of the Mica Mash 3 Disk Necklace. First one is without endcaps, second one is with endcaps. Depends on the look you want. I use either method
Great video again. You keep giving me so many ideas to do with polymer clay, I'm not getting anything else done around here. LOL Keep them coming, you are awesome.
Patricia Roberts-Thompson thank you so very much, I have never been one to ware cuffs b4 ,but I do believe I will make a small collection, thanks to you😉 I have to Waite to get my findings ,and some pan pastels 😋
i really love these type of beads....not sure if anyone else asked....but could you do same with Air Dry Clay instead...???? thank you for showing us how.........hugssss
very beautyful Patricia. You use subtitle - how fine - because when I used Google-Translator then subtitle appear during the presentation of german. super - thanks for your video
Thank you Gabriele, UA-cam will allow me to use subtitles on videos shorter than 25 minutes, so sometimes I can't use them, because I make them too long
Thanks Terri, they make a set of tools with a Teflon cover, but I find they don't grip the wire well. So my advise is to be sure the pliers are perpendicular to the wire, not on an angle because that will cause a mark. The amount of pressure you apply is important too.- too much and it flattens the wire, too little and the wire will move causing you to slip and make marks. Really, it just takes a lot of practice to get it right. I still make marks sometimes!
Burnishing helps bond any layesr of clay together, works out air bubbles, and helps smooth the surface. Since I have ceramic tiles in my oven, and they take longer to heat, I bake pretty much everything for at least one hour, at the recommended temperature for the kind of clay that I use.
Patricia Roberts-Thompson Thank you so much for your prompt reply.Have you got a video on burnishing?? Im aware so people use sand paper but worried it may ruin it, what is your technique.😊
Burnishing is simply rubbing the clay with a smooth object, and is always done on raw clay. If the clay is already baked you can only sand it to smooth it. I burnish for the above reasons, and also to avoid as much sanding as possible - saves time in finishing. I show burnishing in several of my videos, not sure which ones show it best
Hi Pat! In your wavy disc pendant necklace or bails video, you show a ream colored pendant with brown n gray random cracks in it with th Amber cab in the middle? You mentioned that you learned how to create that particular “crackle” type finish from some woman, therefore you couldn’t explain how to do it. Can you tell me the name of the woman you bought the class or tutorial from? I luv that finish and I’d luv to buy the tutorial myself, if I still can. Thanx for the bail and wavy disc tutorials! 🌹😉👍😍
I may have missed this somewhere and if so, I apologize. Where do I find the little round hole cutter(s) you are using? I can't find anything small enough. I do use a straw for now!
I need to know the name of the tools with the round balls different sizes on each end, and a link to them would be wonderful! When I try to explain these to employees at Michaels, Joanna, and hobby lobby they look at me like I'm an alien!!!! Thank you so much
The Kemper ball tool that I have, I've had for ages, and I don't think Micheals carries them. I found this one on Amazon. www.amazon.ca/Sculpey-ASSD01-Style-Detail-Tools/dp/B0044JISMK/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496767147&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=sculpey+ball+tools There are other sets, often in the cake decorating section, where they are often referred to as Ball tools.
This video has them, just hit the CC button on the lower right. Unfortunately, UA-cam doesn't allow them on videos longer than 25 minutes, and a lot of mine were too complex it shorten.
Patricia Roberts-Thompson Thank you very much I think it is my iPad it's not showing it but Spent a pleasurable afternoon watching your videos thank you so much I am itching to get my clay out now! I've ordered my black tassel lol I've found the sub titles hooray!!!

These are fabulous. I didn't know you could bake acrylic paint.

Beautiful beads. How long did you bake them after Perfect Pearls? Thank you.
Love these! Thanks!
Hi Pat, can I use air dried clay for these too? I think 💭 they are so beautiful and fun to make. I m going to have a go at this!!!!
Definitely Mags, air dry clay would be great!
love these! thank you.
How did you get the thin black lines on the white portion of the pendant? Looks very light and delicate
This is a great idea - thank you! Can you tell me what tools you use that will not scratch the wire? I have such a problem with that. Thanks again. :)
Thank you for your suggestions. Like everything, I need to just keep practicing! I have learned so much from your videos. :)
Amazing.Do you have to burnish? As dont know how to.How long do you bake for??
Burnishing helps bond any layesr of clay together, works out air bubbles, and helps smooth the surface. Since I have ceramic tiles in my oven, and they take longer to heat, I bake pretty much everything for at least one hour, at the recommended temperature for the kind of clay that I use.

I talk about the pasta you cut and patterns .. it hardened alone or should it be baked?
ok i understand you thanks

Ruth Kiley her name is Lorraine Vogel, website is Wired Orchid.
Gorgeous❤❤❤
How do you keep the clay from sticking to the aluminum?
Love these! tfs
Thanks Penny
I may have missed this somewhere and if so, I apologize. Where do I find the little round hole cutter(s) you are using? I can't find anything small enough. I do use a straw for now!
I bought a set of 400 Bootlace ferrules, on Ebay. You can also find them on Amazon
muy chulosss
Thank you! Nieves
Thank you !
You are most welcome Kim!
Is the complete videos only available to Patreons? I only got a preview. 😿
I just accessed it from my husbands computer, it worked fine. Sorry I don't know what could have happened.
What gauge wire did you use ?
she used 20
Forgot to mention it in the video, so I put it in the description. It was 20 gauge
Reminds of a sand dollar
Very cute

ma non va messo in forno prima della colorazione ?
Pan pastels are like chalk pastels, and should be applied before baking. You can use acrylic paints on them after baking if you like
Is there anyway you can turn on the sub titles as I am profoundly deaf please?
This video has them, just hit the CC button on the lower right. Unfortunately, UA-cam doesn't allow them on videos longer than 25 minutes, and a lot of mine were too complex it shorten.
Patricia Roberts-Thompson Thank you very much I think it is my iPad it's not showing it but Spent a pleasurable afternoon watching your videos thank you so much I am itching to get my clay out now! I've ordered my black tassel lol I've found the sub titles hooray!!!

Thank you!
io ho chiesto per la pasta polimerica , non va in forno prima della colorazione? come indurisce?
I'm so sorry, i'm afraid I don't understand your question. Do you mean the varnish? There is no liquid clay in this project
