  • The NUX Mighty BT-20 practice amplifier is a great-sounding practice amplifier that doesn't require a mobile phone.
    ►Buy it on Thomann - bit.ly/3vwVtZD
    ►Artist Guitars Australia - snp.link/07c7fa7a
    ►NUX official Site - nuxefx.com/
You plug it in and sounds great straight away. You can also save your favorite channel settings on each of the 8 presets. An 8" speaker delivers great tones for practice at home. It's great to see a fully functional practice amplifier that doesn't require any pedals and can be used at any volume with great results.

From Leo: Pretty good tones out of that practice amp. I like the fact that everything is accessible with knobs, I hate scrolling menus on little screens to find what I want. I reckon the the quality of your chops would come through good on about anything. I agree, I don't ever want to need my phone to run any appliance, especially my musical equipment.

    • @bonnogetz
      @bonnogetz Рік тому +1

@@rodsimmons9337 man you won't regret this amp. Got so many options for the price, beautiful effects on it. The only downside in my opinion is that you can't line it out onto a PA system (but you usually mic it anyways) and you can't put a second guitarist on there, but that's quite common too. Furthermore great for bluesy guitar sounds and indierock.

This little amp sounds amazing. I know they make a 40 watt version of the same amp but with a 10" speaker and it is amazing also. What would really make it ideal is the ability to change the presets in a live situation from a floor pedal. With your experience with the amp is that possible? That would make it ideal. Thanks for all the videos.

It's amazing how tech for small guitar amps have well surpassed what you'd typically get with your first guitar. I liked the first two channels, the third sounded too mushy. The only thing I think they could have added would be a universal foot switch control to switch between the 1st/2nd channels as they're a bit like a boost channel - I think that would be handy. Other than that, Nux are coming out with some really good affordable gear.

Hi- great concise video! I'm a more of a "rock" guy ( I'll play everything from light Jazz to Alt Country, to blues, to metal, though) and I've really liked some of NU>X 's pedals ( the Tape Core is a favorite) and so I'm interested in this. However, I'm getting picky about my Amps. I know I'm quirky, - so, right now, for bedroom practice stuff, I use a Vox Valvetronix AD30VT. For garage practice, I use a Boss Katana ( 50 watt) and, for small gigs, I run stereo between the Katana and a Peavey Valve King 50 watt. So- my question is- where would this amp fit? Is it like a smaller version of the Katana? Is it more like a Line 6 Spider? Is more like your old Mustangs? where would you put it?

Jamal Kareem you find the Fender GT OS complicated, surely you josh? I find OX, Two Notes and Line 6 products far more cumbersome and overly complicated. I’m not in love with the Mustang GT sound, but I think the interface is quite elegant and even without an iPad or phone the screen on the amp is very usable. No worries though, in five years we will have killer tones on our wrist watches, well, no one will have wrist watches, but, maybe built into our cerebral cortex’s /wink

Funny, but many newer practice models are arrainged just like my old Line 6 Spider IV. Same effects to. Long ago it was easy to understand the 4 ohm flappy 8" speaker made the thing sound shrill and unmusical. I changed it to an 8" audio bass speaker. All the difference in the world! Fender cleans with excellent distortion and modulations. Line 6 is supposedly owned by Yamaha. I wonder if there are connections to this and several other nice small wattage amps and the THR stuff??? @intheblues have a question about the NUX NMP-2 and the NUX BT40. I just received my BT40 (w/o Bluetooth) over the weekend and I've realised that I need a foot pedal to switch between channels. The NMP-2 seems like the right pedal for this, but the info on the NUX's website is extremely vague/ confusing. Can I use the NMP-2 on my BT40 amp as a channel switcher and what is the proper cable configuration from guitar to foot pedal to amp, given that I use a mono cable for guitar and stereo cable for switch?

Color LED screens cost very little now, so any amp manufacturer that goes the next step by removing the guesswork with the installation of a HD LCD screen would have a winner. It's good that this amp has multifunction dials, etc., but I'm at information overload atm and would just prefer to see exactly what my settings are right now. I have 2 modelling amps but I don't know how all the settings work because it's just too much bother to remember. You can buy an iPhone replacement screen for under $20, so a small increase in any amp price would be well overlooked by the feature of a nice and snazzy LCD screen Thanks Shane (Melb here as well)

I think the MKII does have much more dependency on the phone or PC app to operate

    Hi Shane,
How does this NU>X compare to the Fender Mustang 1 v.2? Do the two compare favourably tone-wise and for ease of use? How about the volume and overall sound between the two?
I'm sure a lot of people are about to ask these same questions.

Sorry I cannot answer the question, but I am wondering the same thing. I own the Mustang 1 v.1 and am looking at the 40 bt. Let me know if you have any updated info. thanks!

@@j.b.phillips6400 No, nothing at all. But the Mustang 1 is a good little practise amp, especially if you live in an apartment or no one else wants to hear you perfecting your craft! ;)

      I have owned a Mustand I and played a Nux bt-20
I'd take the NUX any day of the week. It's far more versatile, and to me, sounds better. It doesn't have that weird electronic buzz/hum from the speakers that the mustang can get sometimes.
Also, proper bass/mid/treble control is awesome on the nux, missing from the mustangs.
      Get the Nux, bro.
