Hi Shane, yeah I have a Fender Mustang and when I first got it I spent along time trying to figure it out but I was never good with this kind of thing anyway. Good show.
I have a first version Blackstar ID Core stereo 40 that I bought used a few years ago , sounds great for it's tiny size. I plan for a used Boss Katana 50 head soon after I add extension speaker output jacks to the Blackstar... and build a pair of 4X12' tower cabs for that... and a year later I bought a Starcaster Strat electric guitar By: Fender (said it on the head stock) got the guitar to do and extreme mod/build to my design.
I have a Tribute and a Standard. I wanted to get a 335 but decided on a Eastman T59V because I can't deal with the prices anymore and that guitar is friggin awesome and I got that 2 years ago new for like $1600 and change. I like Gibson but like you said I'm not really looking to buy another one unless it's a good deal and I love it. Great video as always Sir 👍. Enjoy your day ☮️❤️🎸
How does the 57 Custom Deluxe compare with the Pro Jnr IV ? Or a 57 Custom Champ. Does a Tube Rectifier over a Solid State make a quality difference ? Being a cynical old guy, my personal opinion is you are a no bullshit guy who I trust to give me a dead honest professional appraisal of each product and I also value your opinions on the music industry. Shane ..have you ever played around with a legacy Valve edition 5 plus with the 10 inch speaker ..maybe 12 inch ..i bought it cause its retro looking and great condition ..im new to all these amps ..i just like them ..i also bought a princeton 650 ..looks cool i think ..they both sound great to me .. Im.pretty sure the legacy might be rebadged Epiphone maybe ..looks the same .
I spend nearly as much time at sky music as you haha Andrew Aaron and the guys. Steve that works there I bought my Mexican 50s Strat off at Billy Hyde Blackburn 20 years ago . Yeah I’ve never owned a Gibson so expensive and the Epiphones are very good quality these days anyway
Regarding your opinions a tube amps and particularly your Peavy isn’t an effect loop important to you? I’m considering and fender tube or a peavy however I’m a bit hesitant due to lack of effect loop. Maybe it’s not really so important as I guess it is. Back in the days (early -80th) I had a monster amp Music man 110w and at that time no one spoke about effect loops
I bought a second hand Gibson standard les Paul -77 30 years ago ago for about 300€ with T-top pups original I hope I never sell it though I hardly play it 😮
Ĥave a ĺooķ at Cortec guitars. Cort guitars, PRS, etc, made guitars. Check out Brett Kingman's demos on the JJ's pickups ... I believe you should like them. Also, Brett's demos of Gary Levinson guitars. If you can find a rare used JM (Jazzmaster) ... buy it!!!
Its still not as popular as a lot of other comobs, at least in terms of online promo. It's a better amp than almost every other combo with comparable power.

A friend that I used to jam with has a fender frontman 212 amp. It's one of the warmest and best sounding clean amplifiers I've ever heard.

I kept my Mesa Boogie F-50 for my basic straight-ahead blues and jazz gigs. It’s loud but there is a simple hack to add a second Master volume.

Have you tried the peavey valvekings. 50 combo or 100 watt head. I like em and on the used market they are affordable tube amp option.
I have a fender thinline strat and the Marshall jtm st 20 combo pretty awesome
2 hour difference between Melboune and US. Your are 2 hours ahead of me here in Michigan .
Vox AC15C1 is very nice. I put a Eq on the “normal” channel to use as tone control. Also has master volume.

Not really mate. I just plug my delay and modulation pedal into the front-end on all of my amps these days.

what do you think of Fender tweed Blues Jr?
The Tweed one is pretty good. The only difference other than the visual is the speaker. The Jensen sounds great in a live mix.
IF you want to remove a poly finish, a BLOW TORCH OR heat gun are your BEST friends!
