In the latest few Redline chapters they revealed that Oda Nobunaga was the Archer from the war, with Kaname Asama as her master. We find this out because it was revealed that Nobu is not a servant summoned for the Imperial City War, but the winner of the 3rd HGW in the Redline timeline, and has survived in much the same way as Gilgamesh did in FSN.
holy shit our Nobu is lore relevant alright the plot thickens a shame Angra didn't get to meet her no doubt the two would've gotten along
How though? The Grail was set up so you couldn't summon Eastern servants prior to the 4th Grail War specifically to avoid one servant gaining a home field advantage.
@@masaruten5213 - No idea how, but am curious to find out. Knowing what we do about the grail ritual and the founding families, my money is on the Matou being behind it.
@@masaruten5213 That was a lie clearly as 5th War Assassin and Archer are both Eastern and in Rin's case she summoned him standardly with no ulterior handicaps or knowledge of that rule set.
Hell eastern doesn't just include Japan by this logic Japan, Asia Russia and segments of the middle east wouldn't work half of the Hassan's would be moot.
@@tonyinfinite5174 The grail was already corrupted by the 4th War so Non-Heroic and Eastern Servants could be summoned by that point. The fact most of the Servants in the 4th WAR hailed from European Folklore (bar Gilgamesh) is due to most of them (bar Caster) being summoned with specific Relics.
Regarding 5th Assassin (Sasaki Kojirou/Regend) he was summoned by Caster (Medea) in a Japanese Temple without a Catalyst, but wasn't the 'True' Assassin class, as evidenced by Cursed Arm being referred to as 'True Assassin' in HF Route.
Regarding EMIYA, Rin used her 1-of-a-kind Gemstone as the catalyst to summon him. Shirou kept the Gem with him all his life, so it's literally the only relic that could be used to summon EMIYA.
In the case of the Hassans, simply being 'Hassan il Sabbah' qualifies them for the Assassin Class by Default.
Dude why can't they animate the third grail war!? It sounds SO COOL
No really, anything covering the events of the third war please. A light novel, a visual novel, a manga, an anime, anything really.
There is no source material for the third war
@@thestarman1355 then make some
@@nickvalentine7399 The third war sounds cool, but why? FGO is still going strong
Because then people would realize how did finon not win. He's bullshit
This is why you always need a ruler class servant to make sure thing don’t go out of control doing a holy grail war and murder death kill will never end as long as the grail exist. Keep up the videos.
Don't you remember what happened last time with Amakusa
Yeah my dude Rulers ain’t always the answer, the idea is that saints and people like that would be good impartial refs. But they still people and can go nuts with power like everyone else
@@AverageAwesomeDude honestly they can make it even worse
@@gusbart5856 very true
you said murder death kill are you trying to summon lucifer or something 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Imagine FGO having an event centered around the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Holy Grail War. That would be so cool!!
This definitely needs to happen
Pls no, fgo plots spoil everything
No we dont want more plotholes.
@@creativename152 y’all some mfing Debbie downers
There are so many servants and stories yet to be shown and told, I just wanna see Charlemagne and especially Ozy's bro, Moses, show up in FGO.
100% need more biblical and christian heroic spirits and servants in fgo, how fucking cool would if be if we had the archangels? or saints like st francis of assisi, or st galentine
SO MUCH POTENTIAL
@@cathloveydovey the saints are fucking awesome and can work the Archangel sigh is a no cause they don't exist in the Nasuverse
@@cathloveydovey I've been a big fan of thinking that the einzberns summoned Saint Martha in the second war
Thinking about that super destructive war led me to think "dragon + dragon slayer = destruction" and Martha with her dragon would most likely be targeted first leading to the "the einzberns lost quickly" thing they did in that war.
Plus, the einberns always succeed in thinking of old + powerful heroes and only failed once in summoning a powerful hero. (They thought angra was powerful. He was not)
@@thedarkdevil1661 thats a dope theory! i wish we knew more about the earlier wars, it would be awesome to see who was in it and how it relates to what we have now
@@tonyinfinite5174 wait why not? i would assume they would be able to, we have literal gods and their children, we have saints and theres been plenty of mentions of God and mythology. Would it be too worldbreaking to have them? I feel that would be the only reason. Literal otherworldly beings of intense power completely beyond anything humanity can ever conjure up in their minds.
Literally took one of them to CAST SATAN TO HELL.
It would be nice if we got anime adaptations of the early grail wars. The fourth was pretty good.
This just shows how terrifying the Grail really is in this series. It's like what Joker said: "Madness as we we know, is like gravity. All it takes is a lot push.." By the way, do plan on releasing a video on how the Grail works in each Fate title? I think it would be very beneficial to your already impressive collection of Type Moon material 🌕
but gotta say this when I saw Darnic had Finn as his servant I was like
'well of course he won, Irelands biggest Bad ass, not even the lancer luck stat Nerf can hold him back if written well'
If you make a Valentine's Day special, I think it would be neat to explain how mana transfer works.
Not really a big deal. In the original FSN, Rin explain that mage's semen is rich in mana, in a point that it's common to sell it in order to make profit. In the end, it's just an excuse to make the H scenes in the original game.
@@henriquebecker4453 Meanwhile in real life you can also sell semen for profit, no mana needed :)
Gigity
@@henriquebecker4453 Actually, it's any mage's fluid, semen just happened to be the most conveniently available fluid for when Shirou needed that.
Angry Matthew got ran, lost his shit, and ruined the grail for everyone.
Not for kirei and gil
I would love to see a new Fate anime based on the 3rd Holy Grail War. You have Imperial Japan, Nazi Germany, and the three families fighting each other for a weapon that will let them take over the world. We could have the Mages Association team up with British intelligence to fill the last two slots and fight to keep the Grail out enemy hands. There are also the servants that could be used in this war. A Saber and their alter version being used at the same time. The whole thing practically writes itself and would be awesome to see.
Go read Fate/Type Redline.
That description is what it is
Basically Fate/type redline highly recommend checking that manga out
Thats good, as much as it would make sense for an american to be present i would prefer a marine raider spy being a regular guy and just gets caught up in the war so we see parts of the war from a regular human view. Maybe the only reason not being handled by either the church or association is because one of the masters take a liking to them (could be male pr female because women were used as spies in WWII)
Love your channel content, bro.
The Fate lore is so vast and interesting that it's a worthy time-sink as a hobby. Just started F/GO and I'm loving it so far.
Wait Angra lasted till day 4 Seigfreid didn't last one day Angra the beta baby
The fgo solomon movie is so good I cried so much that my eyes are too dry that i need to use eye drop
Thanks for this video man, I didn’t even know half of this stuff
great stuff. Hope we get to learn more about the third and second grail war
Love the content my dude! Keep it up, I really enjoy how you explain things and make it fun at the same time
Another thing to consider is that prior to Avenger corrupting the Grail, only 'Western Heroes' could be summoned. This was to avoid any 1 servant receiving a home field advantage due to being summoned in Japan.
Saber(s): Good/Evil variations of the same Servant. At least one of these made it to the finals (Canon).
Lancer: Fionn (According to Apocrypha), assuming he made it to the finals, he lost to Saber.
Archer: My personal Head-canon is that Zelretch ensured the Tohsaka always summon an Archer.
Rider: Likely Zouken's Servant by process of elimination.
Caster: Maxwell's Demon (From Redline, Master is a 3rd Reich Colonel)
Assassin: Dwarf Hassan (Canon).
Avenger: Angry Mango (Canon)
Thanks for this.
My pick for rider would have been proto Arthur, not because it's canon or cool or fits with the story or whatever. No, I want the lore nerds to have an existential crisis. Furthermore, Arthur should reference things that only happened in Monty python and the holy grail, but in a serious manner.
To clarify what I mean by that, I want the rabbit and the holy handgrenade to be referenced. Mostly because that's my headcanon
I love the fact that Gail was just completely uneffected by the grail mud
Fam vocabulary is elite
One thing for sure
Rin's grandpa is absolutely chad.
they really should show us the other wars in the main time line. if nothing else it would be interesting to see what actually happened
I've been waiting for this episode for ages :D
In terms of the masters of the servants, there's: (the archer, rider, caster masters listed are my personal picks, btw)
Saber: Edelfelts
Lancer: Darnic
Archer: Zouken (I think this would be because of medusa in the 5th war + Zouken would see summoning caster, a more powerful mage, as a disgrace to the matous)
Rider: The unknown master (either a random person in the war, or someone working for the imperial army)
Caster: Tohsaka (I got the idea from prototypes first war + i can't think of a good rider servant + I don't think they'd summon ozymandias or another ruler type, leaders similar to gilgamesh.)
Assassin: Dioland relative
Avenger + Ruler: Einzbern
In addition my opinions on the true names of the servants: (Saber, Archer, Rider, Caster + Hassan's true title are my opinion)
Saber: Sir Kay (powerful servant with 2 sides to his legend, english + Welsh. There also has to be an arthurian servant in the war + For reference the edelfelts are the kind to summon heracles, Sir kay has similar abilities to Cu (mainly the weapon inflicting unhealable wounds and a form of madness enhancement, similar to Cu's Warp Spasm), and Cu is said to be Irish Heracles XD)
Lancer: Fionn
Archer: Robin Hood (not extra's robin hood + since the robin hoods work like the hassans, zouken has a list of robin hoods to pick from + if the arthurian servant wasn't a saber, it would be tristan and zouken wouldn't summon tristan)
Rider: Marie Antoinette (choosing a ruler of a kingdom who wouldn't forcefully control their master I.E Gil. Based off nobunaga x master relationship in redline specificly. I thought of medb once, but I decided against it + I'm not a fan of summoning ozymandias as the rider in this specific war)
Caster: Paracelsus (continuing from the prototype influence, though I'm unsatisfied with him as this war's caster for some reason)
Assassin: Hassan of the shining star (Shining star is an official hassan name + shining star can be a metaphor for a giant explosion)
Avenger: Angra
Ruler Amakusa Shirou
@@thedarkdevil1661 I think it's worth noting that the whole Cu being Irish Hercules thing is just a joke from UBW Abridged. Not that the comparison is unfounded, but in terms of actual evidence, I've never heard of them being compared in any light that would suggest a serious connection between their myths, though I could just be wrong. The rest of your reasoning for Saber being Kay tracks though, and it's certainly an interesting idea.
I’ve heard theories about oda nobungaga being the archer in the third holy grail war, but didn’t read too much into it
Love your videos man really great. One thing I want to mention is Fionn's pronunciantion. He's a gaelic hero so the name isn't the easiest to get right as Irish is pretty deceptive in how it's spoken. it's not fee on but you're in the right ball park. it's actually pronounced kinda like young. Just imagine an f at the start and no g at the end so fyoun. Totally get it's not common thing outside of Ireland and the english dubs of fate fumbles the Irish names all the time.
Man Bazzet is basically the master equivalent of Lancer
Its insane that they did an alternate timeline version of the 4th war in LN and anime but have never done it for the 3rd war... the money prints itself
Buford! Buford are you listening!
All this just makes me want Fate Strange Fake adapted even though it's not finished.
Tbh they should've given more info.
I honestly more fancinate in the 2nd war, they go all out in that
The fact that a divine spirit can only be summoned normally in some type of mortal state doesn't help. This means that Angra was summoned in his human state before becoming a god of evil. AKA the body of someone who was constantly tortured and blamed for every wrongdoing of humanity, all throughout his life. If he got stats higher than E for anything except NP I'll be surprised.
@@armandomendoza7371 actually I have a theory that his death IS his NP, as a passive conceptual phantasm. Kind of like Heracles' god hand. after all, it would be the only guaranteed, or crystallised, pat of his legend before his ascension.
The Archer might have been robin hood
They could do so munch with the fate series I still didn’t know about the second holy grail war there is so munch content I just pre order the Solomon movie to 💕💕
Assassin: Hassan of Serenity
Rider: Boudica
Caster: Parcellus
Lancer: Benkei
Archer: Paris
My reasoning was that since they were not servants of the main families, they most likely were unable to obtain great catalysts.
I would say that getting Paris, that comes with an apollo sheep can be somewhat strong, I think I would switch for Billy The Kid, a relic for him would be easier to find
Thanks for da vids first
love it
We need the first trilogy 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
I wish UFOtable would redo the first route of Fate/stay Night. I still like the original DEEN adaptation for what it is, but they went with the anime original ending and combined all three route ending into one, and it was a mess. I want to see UFOtables quality applied to the OG series.
Small correction: DEEN's anime didn't have an "anime original ending and combined all three route endings into one".
You probably were confused but it's still the Fate route ending from the VN but the anime had a few plot points from the other routes, not the endings.
The more I watch fate content the more I'm convinced Shirou was in the easiest war.
I wonder what the first holy grail war was like
I never knew darnik summoned Fion McCool
Now bcuz Strange Fake we know one of Faldeus Dioland was part of the 3rd War
Where do y'all get these informations from man😂.
Dragon kind
Have you covered the prototypes novel and fate strange fake yet? If not please do it
So Angry Mango appeared in 3rd grail war? Eh?
Yeah. I knew he was either in the 2nd or 3rd.
Unrelated note..
1:34: With some cuts.. this could be sus..
Your wierd. Your weird about shiro...
So how much of FGO has an adaptation? I know absolute demonic front Babylonia has an adaptation but is there more?
Make a video explaining avenger
Man I would love to get a novel or anime adaptation for the third war so we could finally see it for ourselves. I think it would have made sense for the imperial Japanese master to have a Japanese servant, whether or not they had a rider, caster, or archer. So Ushi, Nobunaga, Tamamo, Tawara, Tomoe, Sakamata, Murasaki, or really anyone along those lines would make sense. Of course, they could always make a new servant that we haven’t seen yet either which would be cool too.
So like correct me.if im wrong but it wasnt the 1st war that ended in a bloodbath it was the 2nd holy grail war that ended in the bloodbath. The first one didnt have anything of significance and the 2nd had no rules or anything so hence the all out war..
To my knowledge both are true, the second grail war finishing up what the first one opened similarly to the fourth and fifth
How did you find these unseen scene of fate
Name i really want to re watch but dont remember the name
Angra it’s pure cheeks
I'm 1 hour late again.
Yo
I hope luvia show up on the main timeline alreadyninstead of epilogue she so epic tanking rin in a duel
What fate. 3:45 happen?
the einzberns really screwed themselves if they didn't summon angra they would of won the 4th holy grail war kiritsigu wouldn't of destroyed the holy grail
Not really, they lost in Apocrypha when they summoned a different servant and they had the grail stolen from Fuyuki which was worse for their plans since they could work around Kiritsugu wrecking the grail in the 4th.
@@whiskeyhound yes but we are talking about a fate zero without angra curse
@@massimilianoreali4398 True, but if they summoned Amakusa like in Apocrypha, they'd still lose and have to hire Kiritsugu for the 4th and he'd make his wish if he won, so they'd still end up losing.
@@whiskeyhound why you are bringing up amakusa no ruler was summoned during the 4th war
@@massimilianoreali4398 Angra wasn't summoned in the 4th war, he was summoned in the 3rd, Amakusa replaced Angra in the one known timeline where the grail didn't get corrupted in the 3rd war, that's why I brought him up.
I wish they had made a show about the third war instead of making stupid shit like fate kaleid prisma. This franchise has so much potential if only the writers focused on the actual cool part of the show.
That show gave us a shiro even more badass qt least
Wait so the second grail war is fate/type redline?
No Redline is the third war but a different timeline.
@@shadymann9468 oooooh okay 👍
@@ryublaze0328 yeah that's why it's mostly Japanese servants as that wouldn't be allowed normally. Plus Angra isn't there.

Bruh, it's bad when even watching an explanation video to try an understand Fate i can't understand shit...
Wasn't the 2nd war made into a novel?
No. We still don't have a full story about 1st and 2nd.
@@ProvShadow We know enough about the First. Specifically that it was merely a ritual and that they failed because they could not properly get it running for whatever reason (probably lacked enough magical energy, which may be why they chose to invite masters in the second war).
The first and second wars were barely even "wars" I'm pretty sure. The process wasn't properly established yet.
@@drasilisk2895 The second one was a war, as in it was a bloodbath where all the invited mages turned against one another, with the three main families somehow surviving it. That bloodbath is why it got labeled a “war” rather than a mage ritual.
@@lenleon3699 Yeah you right. I meant more that it still wasn't really a Holy Grail War for the Second War, since there was no order to the conflict from the sounds of it.
