As I explained in the video and mentioned in the PowerPoint, it depends on the overall formulation. "Order of Application: You can change the order of application for steps 3 and 4 depending on the formulation of the serum. If it has a lighter, more watery texture, apply it before; if it is heavier, use it after. If the consistency is the same, the order does not matter, and you can layer based on your priority concern and what feels best on your skin."
Not really sure if that is so beneficial, as the dual essence already contains 5% of Niacinamide, so it's not really needed. But to answer your question, yes.
Well, for hydration, it certainly does something. However, when it comes to pigmentation, it depends on what it is. If it's dark spots from acne, it may help reduce them somewhat faster.
Hi Melissa! I just recently added retinol (LRP) into my routine once a week. When I started using it, the skin around my eyes, nose and under mouth got very dry and peeling so I started doing the "sandwich method" and after that, I did not have any irritation. I will probably try starting to use it twice a week now and try to progress to 4/5 or every night of the week so I need a little help on what I can use in the same routines. Other than that, I use glycolic toner by Ordinary once/twice a week, AHA/BHA peeling solution, and Green tea exfoliating pads, and now I want to add Corsx Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide and Timeless 10% Vit C since I noticed that my skin tone is uneven and a little darker/reddish around and under my nose and under my mouth. Would these 2 products be good for that? Can you please tell me if these routines are layered properly and if they are good? Also, can I use retinol on the same night I would use Glycolic Toner or Green Tea exfoliating pads? Here is an example of my routines: PM M: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Cors Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide > LRP Retinol b3 > CeraVe Moisturizer/LRP Cicaplast Baume b5 T: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Corsx Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide > LRP Retinol > CeraVe Moisturizer/LRP Cicaplast Baume b5 W: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Cors Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide > CeraVe Moisturizer/LRP Cicaplast b5 T: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > The Ordinary Glycolic Acid toner > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Cors Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide > CeraVe Moisturizer/LRP Cicaplast Baume b5 F: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Cors Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide > LRP Retinol b3> CeraVe Moisturizer/LRP Cicaplast Baume b5 S: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > NEOGEN Green Tea exfoliating pads > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Cors Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide S: LRP Cleanser for dry skin > The Ordinary AHA/BHA Peeling solution > The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum > Cors Advanced Snail Mucin with 5% Niacinamide > CeraVe Moisturizer/LRP Cicaplast Baume b5 AM: LRP Cleanser for dry skin> Timeless 10% Vit C > its skin hyaluronic acid moisturizer (would you recommend this moisturizer?) > Frudia 50+ SPF Any suggestions, chances or recommendations are welcome!! Hey! :) Overall, your routine setup looks good. Just be cautious not to overexfoliate the skin, especially around the mouth and nose, as these areas could indicate irritation. I also experience redness around my nose and mouth, and I've noticed it worsens when I exfoliate too much. So, keep that in mind. I wouldn't recommend using Glycolic Acid, other acid pads, and Retinol in the same routine. Try using them on different nights. As for the Hyaluronic Acid moisturizer, I haven't tried that one, but it doesn't seem too bad! :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you! this is very helpful:) it makes sense that exfoliating might have caused the skin around my nose and under my mouth gets to get reddish and uneven.. the reason I even started exfoliating as much was because at those spots especially i tend to get peeling and drier skin (even before retinol), which i don’t know why since i use all these product for dry skin and lots of HA (I also drink a lot of water so the issue can’t be from the inside), so I’m not sure what could be causing it and how to go about it:/
@@258852ify Yeah, that's why it's important to find a balance between exfoliating the skin and giving your skin some time to rest. After cleansing, do you pat your skin dry before applying the other skincare products? Since when have you been experiencing these issues, and since when have you been using your Vitamin C serum? What happens if you don't use any skincare products at all for about two weeks? It could help determine if you really have dry skin or if you're just using the wrong skincare products.
