Very nice to see somebody finally put a bowl under the yeast trap ... most videos I have watched only make a mess

You can start the fermentation with the pressure cap and pick up hose/ float installed. Just remove the pressure relief valve and insert the airlock into the hole. If you look into the hole in the standard cap, it is threaded for a relief valve! Also, you can remove the airlock and install the pressure relief, and give the fermenter a shot of CO2 before cold crashing to prevent sucking in O2. Just some thoughts on keeping oxygen out of your brew. Cheers.

So much oxygen added after fermentation. Gave me shivers when I saw that valve open.

I don't think. They purge with CO2 immediatly, so it's not a big deal .

Great video! I have 3 of those fermenters, they seem pretty awesome.

Are you guys not worried about oxygen exposure when changing out the trub collection bottle and changing lids?

Hi guys, when cold crashed (while you still had the airlock attached) did you find the sides of the Fermentasaurus walls collapse with the drop in pressure? If so, how did you deal with this ie. how did you depressurise without introducing oxygen into the system?

I just tried fermenting my first batch with the fermentasaurus and tried fermenting under pressure, However i left a tap connection on the top and woke up next morning with my lovely stout wort all over the floor :-(
I think i will try my next batch the way you've done it

How would you clean it? Looks like a small opening.

I just sprayed out the big chunks with water & then let it soak in some PBW. Then gave it a good rinse & let dry. BAM, all nice & clean!

It's just adjustable wire shelving. Uline or even Walmart or another big box store should have something similar. If no luck there, google 'Metro Shelving"
