Thanks for the review. The Amazon page describes the room coverage as much larger than what you list. For example, for the 600-S the Amazon page says "Home Large Room Up to 3175 Sq. Ft" From the Levoit page, they say this unit "completely filters a 635 ft² room 5x per hour" so it appears Amazon is using 635 sq.ft x 5hr to get 3175.

The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!

I have a levoit400s, I am using the second filter now, so It's about a year that I have it, no complains at all it work good. Just a question, the sweet smell that the filter has especially brand knew, I have been told it's ok. But now it kind of smell like actually profume.. like flowers? Is that ok? We prefer the design of the 400S over the 600S. We have a 1100 sq-ft open floor plan on our first floor and thinking of getting two 400S instead of one 600S. It is odd on Amazon the 400S is listed as being acceptable for 1980 Sq-Ft in one hour?

You said that 600s is louder than 400s, but that is only true if you are comparing them at the same speed. If you compared them at the same CADR, thus running 600s at a lower speed to match the CADR of a less powerful 400s, I'm pretty sure 600s would be a lot more quiet. That's the benefit of using an oversized air purifier in a smaller room.
Yes, I believe so with the extra feature of an ionizer. I went with 600s without plasma pro since I rather not have the irritant ozone being generated in my home
I almost bought the plasma but I went with the core 600s without the Ozone. As i learned from EPA whether in its pure form or mixed with other chemicals, ozone can be harmful to health. When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Sharing a house with a smoker I used a LV-H128 and then a LV-H132 they only removed about a quarter of the PM 2.5. So have decided to use the nuclear option now and put a 600s outside of his door.
lol okay so it works like this The air purifiers are suited to their specified room size. If you have a 80m2 apartment for example, seperated into 2 rooms, it makes more sense to buy 2 small air purifiers for each room rather than a big one.
I like the testing but the smoke test doesn't mean too much with these units, they both move smoke fast enough to keep 99% of people happy, it's not like people are going to turn on the 400s and complain about it taking a whole 10 seconds longer to remove the smoke in there room, I can already hear the 1% saying but that 10 whole seconds of non fresh air.😂😂😂
I have the blue air 211 max and the levoit 600s, i’d like the blue air a lot more the remote application on my phone works nicer, on the Levoit 600, I cannot see good information easy. My third purifier will be another blue air211 for sure. I want a purifier in every room,much cheaper then doctors.
i looked at the Blue Air 211 max but the reason I went for Levoit 600S is because it has a proper carbon filter with carbon pellets, and it has true HEPA. The blue air 211 max only has a carbon coated filter. Another big reason for me is that Blue Air uses an ionizer which produces ozone. I chose Levoit 600s specifically because it doesnt. I really liked the look of Blue Air, the app seemed great, but those two reasons were a big factor for me.
Your testing method for noise makes no sense. That would be like saying the noise test for a 737 was lower than a 747 at the same setting. The 600 makes more noise because it’s operating at a more powerful level - especially on the high #4 setting. They are the same. There is no winner.
