I hope you're having an excellent day so far. Today's try on haul, we're giving ThredUp another chance to redeem themselves from the clothing catastrophe last year. Its been at least a year or more since I posted a ThredUp try on haul on my channel, mainly because I was so disappointed in the cost for "thrift store" or secondhand pieces. Maybe I'm just used to thrift stores selling things for a few dollars, I don't know.
This time around, I tried to buy smart - focusing and filtering my selections by brand and material. If I buy used, I want it to last a long time and be made of quality materials like wools, nylons, cotton, and rayon. That was the pivotal moment that made all the difference. Finding a good coupon code helped too...

Loved the first dress. I was thinking it would be cute with tights and heels and maybe a red belt for a splash of color. The red dress would be great with black tights and heels with a cute shawl for holiday season 😍

The red dress was a surprise "like" for me. Like you said, you have to try things on before you judge them. You looked so good in it. It slenderizes you nicely. It'd be cute with heels and a wrap for holiday parties too!

💟 The first Ann Taylor black & white print dress is fabulous & looks great on you! Love that patterned wool b!end sweater on you, also yes to the Gap tan sweater. I agree to that sweater with the tie dangling, it's a definite no for me. The red dress looked good but if you're not into it & won't wear it just return it. So not a fan of thredup, they give you pennies for brand new clothes you send them and then they charge so much for them, they dont have a business without ppl sending them the clothes

I had the same experience. Sent a bag full of name brand items including a black, wool coat and made like $12! I was fuming! I didn’t have any luck finding items I kept either. Frustrating

Hi Mandy 👋🏽 I like Thred Up too but I’m looking for the retail prices too. Sometimes I can buy a similar piece of clothing brand new for less money. The first shirt with the tie just seemed like the tie was too little - something was just not quite right. I realized that if I can’t see myself wearing something often I send it back. I understand 😊

This is true. It took me over a week to get the package.
Thred Up isn't a thrift store. People expect new or like new, and cute, which I rarely find in thrifts without days and days and days of thrifting for plus sizes. I liked the shape of the coral dress.
So so true! It's hard to find good stuff in thrift stores nowadays. Thredup definitely should lower their prices if they want to brand themselves as an online thrift store. Even though I paid roughly $19 each, it's still high.
Love the black and white AT dress! The sweater with the tie, eh, I think I would have liked it better it the tie was more to the side instead of dead center. You know? I'm not sure I would keep that red dress. Overall, I think it was a really good haul. :)

I'm a size 22-24 and realized that those cute knots on the front of tops don't flatter me at all. They seem to draw attention to my belly too much. Now I'm fine when they're on the side.

Been watching for a long time. I think I would only keep the camel gap sweater. I think that red dress is pretty but if you aren’t comfy than back it would go. I have seen a lot of hauls from you and I think most are winners these just didn’t do you justice. Didn’t make you shine like the diamond you are.

I had a bad experience with thread up, even with a high discount. Clothing just looked worse in person and returns took forever omg. I found things I liked but then the material was so weird. They don’t disclose enough about that or show it well in pics. I also came to find they really don’t treat their workers well. (Tell me something new, right? I know lol) That said, that brown sweater looks AHmazing on you and the red skater dress is actually a very cute shape on you. I’d keep those if I got lucky enough to score them!

I love the first dress. Maybe better with a belt? Itchy sweater...nope. I did like the red one. It would look great with tights and maybe a shrug. As always I enjoy your freshness and attitude.

I think that the holiday looking sweater should go back if it's itchy on your skin. That's not a good sign it won't be comfortable to wear all day then.
I tried it on with a t-shirt underneath and it was much better. Otherwise, yes it would be gone gone! LOL!
