If Fedora copies Windows and allows you to run Windows programs without the use of Wine I would definitely make the switch it's funny watching Linux actually improving themselves because people aren't trusting Microsoft right now I just might switch over if the use similar programming from Windows and do it better they need to rip off the Windows 11 look but with a classic start menu feel and have acrylic effects to mock Microsoft.
Try Fedora Workstation that offers GNOME Desktop experience.
You cant run windows programs without wine. That's how Linux works
You could install Fedora KDE (or any Linux distribution with KDE Plasma) and customize it to your liking. Trust me, the customization opportunities are far more than what you’d think :)

I'm dual booting Windows 10 with Linux with a tweaks it can almost feel like Windows if Fedora keeps improving and eventually lets you have Windows content on it without Wine I would immediately move to Fedora they need a weather widget for the taskbar that's just like Windows 10 then I would MAYBE think about switching permanently.

I'm currently on fedora 39 gnome edition.
so when fedora 40 drops, will the upgrade be just as easy as one click or will I have to reinstall everything?
You will update through the gnome software center, don't worry you won't need to reinstall everything
You can update through terminal
*sudo dnf update && sudo dnf upgrade -y*

Yes. But, if you are using any GNOME extensions disable all of them and update.
Since you have gaming pavilion, did you manage to fix the speakers being trash? This is the only issue i have with linux on it, B&O does not have drivers for linux and i hate it. Other than that it works flawlessly.
Are you talking about bad sound quality of HP Laptop in Linux Distros. I have a HP Notebook. In every Linux distro I tried there is a bad noise with the sound output. It is the only thing I don't like. What did you meant by B&O
@@AlthafMuhammad2006 gaming pavilions come with B&O speakers and the sound quality on windows is insanely good. On linux the sound is so bad that i barely use the speakers at all.
Bro I literally have the same issue, like sound is very bad amd low volume because of drivers. I have a HP Pavilion
Try switching session. If you are using Wayland then try x11 and vice versa

Looking forward to it! Unfortunately, Fedora 40 Beta still won't boot on my Surface Laptop Studio. KSK if you have any ideas, they are welcome. However, on the big boy custom build, it's golden!
I have spoken about it at the end of the video. It doesn't boot because currently it's CPU only, you need to pass kernel argument called "nomodeset" to disable GPU drivers and install Fedora 39 and graphic drivers upon post install.
@@kskroyaltech just a heads up this does not work for Surface Studio Laptop. But rather to boot the custom Surface Kernel instead.
Why is the terminal still the old one? I thought they had updated the terminal and monitor to Gtk4.
There is another terminal called gnome-console that uses gtk4

How do you make touchpad work on that laptop? Since it doesn't work for me on Fedora.
For me it works out of the box .. I didnt do anything.
Make sure you have updated BIOS firmware to support latest linux drivers.

Why? Ubuntu is bloated af.
Fedora has podman, and gnomes boxes already installed, so you pretty much just have to install a text editor like vs code. Feodra has more frequent linux kernel updates too.

Edit : actually Installation is not my problem but I don’t know my installation is done successfully but after reboot it doesn’t make me into blackarch and yeah I checked in bios setting there is no operating system I don’t what is happening. And I check that my ssd successfully made that partition so please make a video with solution of this topics you are my last hope
