Thank you Angela. My swirls are improving. After FIVE years, I owe my changing technique to you. But mainly I owe you my confidence to try and finding joy in FMQ. I enjoy piecing to a point. But I am more excited about what the quilting is going to DO for the project. I live in a tiny place so a longarm isn't even a dream. I know I have to do this on my domestic. I have a frozen right arm so It can be painful if I go more than 45 min at a time. I am slow. And people get impatient with the quilt on the Kitchen table for a week (or more) while I arrive at what is possible for me to do based on the chosen backing and tension of my machine that day. I can't afford to send my quilt out. (I can't afford to quilt: I live in Canada $23/yd). But even when I dream of enough money to do so, I realize this, for me, is the really artistic part of the project. I followed someone else's pattern to piece the top, I might have been inspired by someone else's fabric choices, so the part that is "me" (artistically) is the fmq. Thank you for your patient coaching and being willing to repeat yourself for our sake. I imagine you want to run down the middle of the freeway screaming at times when you receive the same questions over and over. I buy all my thread from you. I really stocked up in late Dec, because who knows what the exchange rate will be in the next 4 yrs. I can't support you in $, but I can tell you how much I appreciate you. I know thats lovely and you would likely prefer the cash :). If I win the Lotto lady, look out. You will feel my appreciation !
Αngela, you are the goddess of free motion quilting , because you can do insane patterns even in a normal domestic sewing machine , what an inspiration, I hope you come to the Birmingham Quilt festival in the UK ( where I love)this year, I’d love to do a quilting class with you. I went to the festival of quilts last year and I tried a long arm they had for test. Oh my Lord, it was a totally different experience from me quilting big quilts on my 8 inch throat machine! But I don’t think I’ll ever have a long arm, much as I’d love one, because they are sooo expensive, more expensive than my current car, and also I don’t have the space in my house for it, they are huge! But using it felt exactly like when you draw with a pencil, it was a revelation. I’ve no idea how good the cutie frame ones are for big quilts, how easy they are to set up etc, is something I’ll try if I ever see one on a demo ❤
I love the look of swirls but struggled getting them to fill in the space. I always wind up with big gaps in the quilting. I see from this video that they key is echoing. You always tell us to 'Echo Echo Echo" and this is one design where I think it will really help me to get the space filled in and not have big gaps in the quilting. Thanks for another great video. I always love your FMQ challenges because you give us great tips and your style is so enjoyable to watch. I have a feeling swirls may become my 'go to'' design!! 💜💗💙
I did swirls all over the background of a panel quilt. They weren’t just right. They were sqare-ish. But, the overall look still looked nice. Watching Angela carefully, I know I can improve! 😅
I signed up for this and haven't received any email except that I did receive an initial apology email saying sign up for more info but then no more emails at all. There's nothing in my spam or trash or anywhere. The free diagrams the website says you need to sign up and check your email. But then when I sign up again, no email.
Angela, you are an AMAZING teacher! If possible, PLEASE remove the background music! It’s too loud and music in the background makes it very hard to hear what you’re saying! You’re amazing just as you are!
I usually see closed caption on her videos and even though I have it turned on, I'm not getting caption? I've legally deaf & 😮can't get my volume high enough to hear 😢

Angela, we love you and the information and instruction you share with us, but the music can go! Let’s try that for the new year!
You are so good at explaining the process. I have become a more confident quilter from your tutorials. Thank you so much.
Thank you for all your videos
Thank you very much! 😊
So excited to start!
Gonna practice before I dive into the panel! Thanks, Angela!
"Make a little pearl", my AH-HA moment. Great video
Your swirls have been very helpful 😊
This is a great tutorial. I have a domestic machine but swirls are my favorite design to use. Thanks for the tips! 👏👏💕

This is all new to me - looks that fun - how do I get started
Great tutorial…thanks so much!
Thank you! Inspiring ❤

I notice you are using the ruler foot and not a darning foot, is this easier? I have a problem with the darning foot not catching the bobbin thread.
I have troubles with skipped stiches when i go backwards
What do i need to do. Do i go to fast?
Love the vide but the background music is too loud for people like me that have hearing trouble.
I find slowing down playback to 0.8 or0.85 makes it so much easier to absorb all of her tips.
thx
Enjoyed the video, but sometimes background music was up too loud while you were talking, making it difficult to understand you.
I would like to learn this. I have very limited hearing and that whistling background overrides your voice. I cannot hear what you're saying.
Try using closed captions. That helps me a lot.

Did you check your spam file? My computer and phone do that to mine… why?

I didn’t receive an email either even though I signed up quite awhile ago. I’m trying resubscribing here and see if that helps.
Your squared-off swirls are pretty too.
I thought so too!
❤❤❤

CC came on a few minutes after I got into the video but did not seem to be on at first.
