Love the RP / party interaction episodes, personally. Who needs a fight when: The cape returns, Skid drops a Quincy reference, Zephyr flashes back, and the art world is devastated by the newest depiction of the avian form. The Naish is eating good.
Watching Joe get increasingly angry while waiting for the plot to kick in is absolutely one of my favorite parts of this whole adventure.

I fully understand Joe's point of view, and I would feel the same way if I were playing. However, this is entertaining to watch in and of itself. Also, I can't wait to see the pay off of all that Troy has prepared.

As entertainment, the campaign is doing well and Troy has even managed to spontaneously add plot points to seemingly pointless NPCs and places - which is a hallmark of good GMing imo.
As far as pushing forward the story, GCP are slow, short sessions, extended flashbacks & vignettes, and thr silliness have always been part of the show though. However, Giant Slayer was more focused but it still took them forever to finish. I get that is frustrating for some Joes.
Funnily enough, I was completely turned off Get In The Trunk because of how painfully slow the story progresses - so Joe's kinda calling the kettle black here.
Sidenote - I think it was way better as a seasonal monster of the week kinda series.
@@upsidely Yeah, Get In The Trunk S5 took three episodes to enter the second plot-relevant room. And I mean *enter*, not do anything in it. It was brutal. (The middle of S5 was fabulous, though.)
I kinda get where Joe's coming from, I like to have a consistently moving story of some kind. But I also love those quiet RP moments when the players are allowed to share snippets of their backstory with each other and bond as characters.

I honestly think that Joe's -roadkill chicken- bird drawing was pretty decent. the only thing that makes it look funny is the way he drew the head.

We use to have a program about advertising on CBC radio(age of persuasion/ under the influence) and they covered the brown M&M for van halen in an episode about friction. If they found the brown M&Ms inevitably the company didn't read the rider and the band would find lots of things wrong on the stage setup.

I love Joe's drawing! I often listen to the podcast version since I have D&D on Thursday nights. But I always come back to the you tube version to see the drawing, the cloak, or the beard lol!!!
I have watched the part between like 29:00 and 41:00 so many times I can't count. The scene is excellently written, Troy and Kate do some superb acting, everyone's reactions throughout is great and then that classic GCP mix of drama and levity as we come out of it... This fits exactly into that jagged, misaligned and weirdly shaped hole in my brain where perfect things sit. Thank you guys so much for the content you create.

The campaign took a while to pick up steam, but it's running the tracks now. I was a little disappointed with the initial episodes, but it's steadily imprpved in every way. I hope we reach new GCP heights.

The hot-takes on Westworld were great! Beautiful show, brilliantly acted.... and a story that insulted the viewer with its purposeful convolution and confusion.
Love the not knowing where its going part. Thats why i love the Cuthulu stuff is it could be anything, and there are so many campaigns i don't have time to play them all.

I am really enjoying Kate's roll playing. I love how she was best friends with Lucky, but is the only one who didn't welcome Syd's new character. The flashback sheds new life on the situation. The way Kate is using nonverbal communication is perfect, and how it is affecting Syd is great. Also, she is not blaming Asta for Lucky's death, but wants to distance herself to everyone at this point is sensational roleplaying. Zephyr has become my favorite character.
Please make the legal pad bird drawing into a shirt! With a pencil beside it like Kate suggested. Best idea ever.

I am loving all of the episodes! One small thing that I think could make the videos even better is if you could cut to a shot of everyone or picture-in-picture so we can see all the players during times of high tension or hilarity. I think cutting between people is fine, but I think that if we could see everyone reacting at the same time, it might help the viewer connect with cast more. I am by no means an expert, just a thought I had.

In Kate's defense, I also don't remember Boromir sparring with the Hobbit heroes ; maybe just a vague image in my mind, not deemed important in my brain. Even though I read the books, saw the movie trilogy twice, the past cartoon movies, etc. (I found the scene on the Internet, so I know what you mean though.)
