While it’s a nuanced issue, it’s not as complex as it might seem. Part of the issue with how the issue is presented is that people are purposely conflating a crusade type of narrative into this to make it seem like both sides are valid and that it’s something that nothing can be done about. If you remove the religious aspects of this, which are minimal until you get to the micro situations in that land, you see that basically the land was virtually colonized by a third party (UN) and then given to the Jews at the time; removing stake from people who lived in that part of the land. But it was shared for a bit (however something is to be said about “sharing” something against your will), but over the years, the Palestinian land kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller. So when it comes to Jewish people in the US being able to claim land/citizenship over there, the purpose isn’t because of some old thought that MAYBE your 4th cousin stayed on this piece of land 1000 years ago. It’s to purposely displace the people who are there, to politically conquer more land. Even when you look at the what Israeli officials have said, they’ve admitted that this “eviction dispute” (BS name) was to bring an influx of Jewish people to that area. So thankful that this exists big shout out to Chuckie for pulling through, loved the guests as well thought they really did themselves proud, maybe having another part where the conversation is framed with more of a raw political/Legal perspective, than a religious leaning one would be good for the wider conversation, cause from what I’ve been reading and the guests alluded to, there’s both political and religious claims on each side hope that makes sense bro!
absolutely not because THIS IS NOT A RELIGION THING!!! THIS IS A ZIONISM ISSUE. a REAL orthodox jew will agree THE LAND IS NOT THEIRS TO CLAIM. it’s in the religion..
@@1realness1 The point of the conversation was to hear both sides of the story. If you can't sit down with a zionist and hear their opinion out then there's no point in listening or even attempting to have the conversation.

Bigups Chuckie fr the fact that he's even trying to get educated and putting this issue on his platform deserves big respect. Others that may be a good fit to talk on this matter may be Lowkey, Muhammad Hijab and Ali Dawah
Great conversation to be had Chuckie. I will speak on this topic though as I have extensively studied Religious History of the East & West and even though I am a Syrian-American muslim who works in the music industry - I have Palestinian friends and cousins but I do understand both sides in detail. First off, the Children of Israel were not “travelers” they were in fact exiled from their home in Egypt and then exiled again from Palestine. They were deemed unwelcome at the time due countless religious disputes. However, if we incorporate the battle of the crusades which was a battle that took place between Christians and Muslims in the Holy Land between 1095 and 1291 - there was always a sense of admitting defeat. The Christians tried to liberate the Holy Land from Islamic rule and failed. They admitted defeat and surrendered and btw were treated in a compassionate and just manner by the leader of the muslims - an iconic war head who goes by the name of Salah El Deen who’s grave side resides in Damascus today. The Jews are right in their claim that this land was once theirs in that they were the majority and the Dome of the Rock (known as Masjid al Aqsa) once was Solomon’s Temple - the holiest Jewish site - but Jews were definitely not the only ones populating the land. Jews, Christians, and Muslims have fought for this land for centuries and yet neither Christians or Muslims claim this land because countries do not operate on such basis. Countries (for the most part) are secular unions. They are meant to represent different arrays of people from different walks of life - the idea of a religious state - and that goes for both Israel and Saudi Arabia are a thing of the past. For example, the Arabs/Muslims once conquered Spain and we had claims to Spain from Toledo to Madrid during the Ommaid rule. We conquered and ruled Spain in which Spain was populated with Jews, Christians, and Muslims - it was a period of enlightenment that Jewish historians to this day admit was one of the most prosperous periods of Judaism - and that was under Islamic rule. You don’t see Muslims claiming years later that we need to go kill Spanish women and children and infiltrate their homes because we once ruled Spain. So the very idea of the State of Israel being so black and white to extremists Jews is so absurd to me. They can STILL have claim to the land and STILL treat people of all creeds and religious backgrounds with the same dignity and integrity just like we once did in Spain. Events should have never been allowed to transpire as such and there should have been an integration of society as originally planned in the 1948 agreements and not seizing the opportunity to grab more land and exile Palestinians as they had once been exiled. The truth is ALL Abrahamic religions have a claim to that land. It is the agenda of right-wing extremist Zionists who wanted to make sure an atrocity like the Holocaust never occurred again that struck a deal with the Western colonies of the US and UK and retrospectively the UN to hand over that land to the Jews so that they can establish a religious state. Religious states should be illegal because we do not live in time periods where kings and queens rule anymore (except for symbolic monarchies in the UK and dictatorships disguised as monarchies in the Middle East) - there is nothing “democratic” about a religious state.
Thank you Chuckie for using your platform to discuss this sensitive matter. Love always! Shout out to Meriam and Osman for being brave enough to go on and try their best to speak on the matter. There was a lot that was missed, a more detailed analysis on exactly what triggered the recent events, the Israeli government illegal violations of international law regarding increasing the settlers land, the very obvious media bias in general, the involvement till this day of European interest in that region and even the Arab world and their involvement with Israel, the Balfour treaty ...creation of Israel. Some side notes for context. In the Quran thr mentioning of Bani Israel just for context relates to the nation of Jacob /Yacob. Israel is another name for Jacob. The Holy land mentioned in the scripture was known as Sham which is the region of now Palestine/Iraq,Syria,Jordan,Lebanon. I am also actually intrigued to hear the other side and this is coming from Pro Palestinian one from a Zionist view and one from a Jewish view. However I would like a honest guest that doesn't blame everything on Hamas and uses them as the bogeyman and can be open to dialogue to express their views as well as acknowledge the criticism levelled at Israel.
This was a really good and lit convo tbh! Learned some new stuff myself(of course having done my own research before watching this). Appreciated dialogue.
This guy got the embassy situation mixed up. The vast majority of countries actually have their embassy in Tel Aviv because they recognise that as the capital of Israel. The USA moved their embassy to Jerusalem in 2018 and this was controversial because by doing that, they are basically signalling that they believe Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel which will obviously upset the Palestinians because that city is supposed to be shared.
big props for this convo... who owned the land first is a very dangerous conversation to have for a lot of the world today. would be nice for all the wrongdoings to be spoken about over time. Bless up this once more 🙏🏾

People are dismissing the purpose of Zionism and the horrific history of antisemitism - its been going on for centuries and the Jewish community have been totally persecuted. I am not opposed to the oppressed having their own land of safety and freedom to practice their religion.
The Pharaoh’s wife’s name who found Musa (Moses) in the basket was Asiya, and according to Islamic hadith she is one of the 4 blessed mothers of this world, which includes, Maryem (virgin Mary), Khadija (Prophet Muhammed’s first wife) and Fatima (Prophet Muhammed’s daughter). Asiya died a martyr cause she denied the Pharaoh’s ‘Godship’ and proclaimed the Oneness of God. Asiya is also my daughters name too 😌
@@nigelcardoso7653 that’s incorrect, ‘According to Islamic tradition, Asiyah (Arabic: آسِيَة), sometimes called Asiya bint Muzahim (Arabic: آسِيَة بِنْت مُزَاحِم), was the Great Royal Wife of the ancient Egypt's Pharaoh of the Exodus and the adoptive mother of Islamic prophet Mūsā.’
Bro I appreciate the effort. But the fact that two people speaking about Israeli -Palestinian conflict don’t know the name of the founder of Zionism is an L.
Of what relevance to this conversation does Theodore Hertzl's name have? It is entirely unimportant, we can have a detailed conversation about Zionism and just refer to him as 'the guy who started Zionism' and no relevant information will have been skipped.
I can’t be the only on that want to see an Israeli view ? I’m sure there’s someone that can come on and give the Israeli side to this story, good or bad

Good topic!! - I see a lot of people commenting about who should have been brought on. For me, this needed 3 guests. 1 - Islamic perspective 2 - Jewish perspective 3 - Political perspective. A lot of religious preachers are horrible at politics and vice versa. Definitely 3. It would give you a more *rounded* argument/perspective.
Yo my bad Chuckie. I didnt mean to grill you about bringing on Lowkey. Know you're still the #1 podcast. Love for this episode, along with the othet eye openers youve created. ❤👊🏾
Its ok. I'm sure Lowkey will come on at some point
You need to bring Shamsi on he is brother who understand the religion and the situation and will be speaking on behalf of the Muslims.
@@fightfanatic5790 very true defo need a deen perspective - shamsi is the guy

So thankful that this exists big shout out to Chuckie for pulling through, loved the guests as well thought they really did themselves proud, maybe having another part where the conversation is framed with more of a raw political/Legal perspective, than a religious leaning one would be good for the wider conversation, cause from what I’ve been reading and the guests alluded to, there’s both political and religious claims on each side hope that makes sense bro!
I like the little preview thing at the start, keep that, it's a nice touch.
Being born & bred Muslim - Chuckie asked ALL the questions I was thinking! Madddd respect for this! I learnt ALOT from Osman & Meriem! 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Good conversation but wouldn’t a conversation with 1 Muslim and 1 Jew with contrasting opinions be a more fitting conversation?
absolutely not because THIS IS NOT A RELIGION THING!!! THIS IS A ZIONISM ISSUE. a REAL orthodox jew will agree THE LAND IS NOT THEIRS TO CLAIM. it’s in the religion..
@@1realness1 Solomon is correct, there needs to be a balance here not a skewing to one side. That's what makes for enlightened discussion
@@zl132 go feed your brain
Nah!!! Ain't no one need that.
@@1realness1 The point of the conversation was to hear both sides of the story. If you can't sit down with a zionist and hear their opinion out then there's no point in listening or even attempting to have the conversation.
thanks for this video Chuckie its not easy gettin involved in such a passionate discussion esp when sometimes its easier to stay quiet. respect
Bring on Mohamed hijab .no disrespect to the guest their knowledge in this topic is surface level .
That guy.... Argues to argue. Not to discuss.

Didn’t you hear what he said ...
He lisaid he hit them up and it couldn’t happen
Nah, he's good with the Quranic knowledge but when it comes to history or politics or anything to do with social issues he's woefully off the mark.
I loved this conversation. I have a clearer understanding on what is going on now. Please bring both of the guests back also! It’s refreshing heading listening to people that can have an intellectual conversation about an important issue. In a digital world of propaganda we all need to learn credible information! Thank you Chuckie for helping us do just that. 🙏🏾
Sunday school came in came in clutch with this episode
For real 😂 I'm like- oh you're talking about the plagues when talking about what the Egyptians went through
Thanks for having this conversation on your platform!
Chuckle, much respect for keeping your word. I highly recommend and I’m sure everyone would agree , you need to bring on either Lowkey or Mohammad Hijab. These guys have well extensive knowledge and voices on this topic and beyond.
Hey Chuckie...thank you for bringing in these two guests. As someone who thought they had a full understanding of what's going on /how this all started, it was really interesting and insightful. Thanks man
Honestly, good for you chuckie! you never disappoint!

Big respect to chuckie for speaking on whats happening in Palestine. Not many people would speak on this because they're scared. Big up!!!!
So by your definition Iran isn't a democratic state right?
@@lilromeos619 definitely not. The world would be a better place without USA, Russia, China, Iran, Israel, North Korea and Saudi Arabia.
Chuckle rlly told these two there were the B team to their face 😂
Very rare to hear a black man speak out on this situation, especially a public figure. Thank you bro 👍🏽

Please get Low-key on with someone who is pro Israel. Not just any Jew.
I rate this so Highly. Content is on point!
This was a really good and lit convo tbh! Learned some new stuff myself(of course having done my own research before watching this). Appreciated dialogue.

Respect for running this conversation this was good! Would like to hear more perspectives
Bless up this once more 🙏🏾
Hi chuckle thank you for bringing light to an issue that needs more enlightening. I just think your caption is very misleading by calling it a VS. A VS regards this issue as an equal footing when it’s not it’s very one sided with major casualties on one side. Thanks again. Love!

Mohammed hijab is very knowledgeable but he has a lot of controversy around him right now might be technical
I rate chuckie thats why ive watched this podcast for years.. im just saying that others could have given a better insight to this issue.. does the topic not deserve the best?
Someone like mohammed hijab is a knowledgeable historian.. check his stuff.. and religion is heavily involved with this issue.. whatever you might think of him he defo would have given a better insight to the issue than these two here

Thank you Chuckie, I really couldnt have got this level of information in this way anywhere else
Listening to this episode all I can think about is Outlandish's song "Look into my eyes", so relevant still today and the story behind it is a mad one STILL, song is based on a poem written by a Palestinian girl when she was a teenager going through all this madness time ago

What about the Balfour declaration in 1921 that ultimately instigated this occupation?

Some honest feedback:
Unfortunately, these guests did not do this topic justice. Very superficial/ig meme type discussions.
You should get someone on here to give a religious perspective and a political perspective. Because I didn't learn anything new/useful.
He should invite Lowkey!❤

When chuckle said at the beginning of the pod "the main people that you said to have on, I reached out to them" I really hope he was talking about Mohammed Hijab. Best person to talk on this subject.
This conversation is so needed. We're all here to learn
Can we get Mohammed Hijab ( someone who’s local ) on the pod - I think it’ll be interesting for chuckle to explore Islam much more deeply and maybe even get a Christian speaker / activist on another pod
I think this was a good introduction to what is happening in Palestine. I think it’s unfair for people to say that other guests should have been there when Chuckie has said already that he reached out to people. Being against how the Palestinian people are being treated is not anti Semitic so that argument needs to stop. I commend Chuckie for having this conversation as we know lots of “celebs” are not. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Unfair lol no wonder theres chaos when u think like that
Great episode. Definitely so much more to it. The woman talking you can tell speaks with passion but that’s a dangerous game to play especially if you have a point you want to get across. The tone of voice and body language is everything. The mans approach to it was definitely a lot more easier to take in.
I enjoyed the difference in their respective approaches tbh.
Nothing wrong with her tone / podcasts are to listen to anyway do but sure where body language comes in
Thanks for keeping it balanced. I can't trust mainstream journalists on the news these days.
Chuckie got me distracted from my work. I see nothing wrong with that.

The fact that you called it a “conflict” is an L
