Todays video is a bit different since we are not cleaning! Well okay I did clean a little aswell but today I am showing you my brand new home! Earlier this year I bought a home and now we are demolishing and renovatung it completely. When i bought the home it was very dark, even the kitchen cabinets were black.
I hired an interior designer to design the whole apartment and i loved the plan she came up with. The renovation took a couple of months but the outcome is so worth the wait. Now the home is bright, airy and just to my liking. Let me know in the comments what you think about it!

I adore that in 2023 we are finally in an era when people, women in particular, decorate their homes with unabashed girliness, whimsy, or whichever other aesthetic catches their fancy - your home beautifully encapsulates you! Best wishes from your neighbour to the west!
I hope the next step is that once this becomes normalized we no longer need to label colours or aesthetics with gender binary coded language.

I live as a bachelor myself, and I tend to organize everything like you do. It's fun to see how as a guy I like a dark theme alot, and loved your house before you changed it.

I'm just like you, but female.
we just built a 745 sq ft ADU (like a "granny flat" in the yard) and I designed it all myself.
I said I want it to look sterile, masculine, void of joy, and simple.
We took a picture of the completed kitchen and some of the people working on the project commented that it looked as if we had taken a black and white photo.
Like we removed all color :)
It's decorated with plants but otherwise, my art was hand-made with the same paint colors i used on the wall, and drywall compound.
so its basically art of a wall that's more textured.
LOL.
adhd means my brain functions best when my surroundings are simple.
I loveeddd the apartment "before" but see the value in the after, as well. I would have painted a few darker walls very white and added a LOT more lighting options. that's all. otherwise it was PERFECT.
Leaving a relationship and starting over takes a lot of courage. It makes my heart happy knowing you have your own home so beautiful and personal to you! Everything is bright and cheerful and the decor and design looks so comforting and warm. You work very hard and 100% deserve this amazing space! You have earned it 😊🩷💘💖💕💞💓💝💖💝

@@janetpendlebury6808 Still were talking about 600 square feet. Its a huge price tag for the work done and type of finishes/furnishings. This was at most a 45k job + at least 20k for designer. That's like 40% overhead. I went to check wood in Stockholme too the prices are comparable to here so ... no idea why this cost her so much. I hate when people are taken advantage of.
@@husher5142while I agree with you, we're talking Scandinavia prices for labour which are probably double than most western Europe. Plus making wet room is more expensive than usual bathroom. On top of that sound proofing and you could see some good floors being laid and wooden ceiling in the bathroom. So materials were not cheap either. When I was renovating my first flat I paid more for renovation than flat itself. And that was 10 years ago and only 35 sq meters.
@@dandelionDub I just finished renovating 1500 sq feet with top end finishes/crown moulding, custom black toilette, and built a whole new bathroom framed in etc. im in for under 80k CAD and I upgraded all mechanical (plumbing and electric), plus an extra 8-10k for a lawyer to sue the first electrician for contract breach. I agree labor might be higher, but not 60-70k higher.
I am speechless at how beautiful the flat is now. Amazing work! Kudos to you, the designer and the renovation crew. Everyone has done such a good job!

The renovation was really a complete tear down to a fully redone place, and the expense for everything was absolutely worth it as the end result is so clean, bright, and updated. I love that even though the home is clearly made by a designer, it has touches in there for you that just make you so happy. It sounds like the separation was very amicable, but that is still rough so be sure to be kind to yourself and don't expect your normal work output. It could be easily possible that this is her own design too, the look of the apartment is quite classic Finnish style which many follow without having a designer doing it for them. It's very clean and tasteful, but, quite ordinary Finnish home renovation style. Congrats Auri, I hope you enjoy your new home ❤

i feel u but don't let that stop you from wanting to personalize yourself or where u rest! most people could not afford what auri is doing here especially while single, but that doesn't mean the minimum isn't possible. even as something as simple as good bedding, which i notice auri also likes to get for those she cleans for. im still young so i dont know much, but my mom will never own a home herself, and she lives by personalizing even the basic items, especially some super comfy cute bedsheets and covers, as when you use them inside the home can make it feel more dreamy and ur own. investing in what you can and care about is always worth it, in my opinion :) your dreams may not be what you thought but can still be wonderfully special
I feel like the color Pink is empowering ❤ There was a woman I used to work with who told me she “did not like the color pink”. When I pressed for why, she said it was because she did not want to stand out in an office full of men. That just makes me sad. So I decided to add lots of pink to my desk after that. 😊 Just as a power move to prove that you should never try to hide or “tame down” who you are and what you like. Even my stapler is pink!! Hahaha

A friend of mine has a grey and black home, I think it was a trend. Personally, I prefer these pink, white and light wood colours, they’re so much cuter. You can notice the feminine touch 🌸🎀🩷
