A plugin hybrid with a perfect 6 cylinder engine. Best of both world's, would be very economical if driven conservatively. But not so much with Anna on the loud pedal. Happy 2021.
Great review Anna as always, X5 45e looks good and sounds really good. It makes you wonder how the companies get this high MPG that they say their cars can do when in the real world nobody can achieve. I know I said it before I was sucked into getting back in the past Peugeot 508 SW Hybrid4 because of the so-called MPG which is never done but I do think Hybrids are good to get that extra punch of the line. Happy New Year Anna and I hope 2021 is a much kinder year for us all. :-)

I averaged these figures with a full charge and after using about 30-40% of the fuel tank. A common sense tells me, the more the petrol, the worse the figures, but how little do I drive to get it? 10 miles? 20 miles! One big mystery!

First off, Happy New Year! One of my absolute, if not favorite, brands. I have always wanted a BMW. I really don’t care which style. Sedan, wagon, SUV... even the all electric. They are just so well crafted for the average person who saves their pennies. They really aren’t beyond reach, especially if you buy it preowned with a few miles. The X5 is a beautiful beast. Great video! I do love my Bmw’s. I currently drive 2011 3 series and always wanted that year, but looking at getting all wheel drive Bmw. Stuck between x3 or x5. I need it here in states / Minnesota. This video helped out. Enjoyed it. Keep up the great content!
I start with Happy New Year Anna! Fun to watch your videos when everything is so perfect in terms of image and sound. BMW is a beautiful car. But you show how easy it is to open the boot lid with the help of the foot and it works every time you use it, but NOT if there is snow, because the snow settles over the sensor so it stops working and so it is on all cars that have this . Then other aids also do not work where there is snow.

Aside from the time it takes to charge, the car seemed flawless. Another great review. Do the manufacturers bring these vehicles to you? How do you decide which to review and how far do you travel? Sorry for the many questions. Really curious.
It really is, BMW need to sort out the charging and it'll be gold. I don't mind question, happy to answer 😊 I would love manufactures to bring the cars to me but as far as I know, it only happens in the USA and the UK. I have to pick up the cars and drop them off, so it's a fair logistical exercise, depending where and when I have to do it. There are cars I personally like and that is usually no brainer. Then there are cars which I know my viewers will be interested in. Then there are cars I think viewers should see. I've worked for nearly 20 years in sales so that never goes to sleep ;-) My wishes are my wishes, then it really comes down to the willingness of the brand to give the cars to me and the availability. I have some booking for March already and it's not unusual to book this far in advance. Some brands, for example Alfa :-) are absolutely lovely to work with, but I've had the opposite experience with Alfa in Switzerland. Mercedes here is brilliant and they seem to be brilliant in every country when it comes to the press fleet.

I personally prefer hydrogen vs electric, but the trouble is the fueling infrastructure in Europe, it's a bit of a disaster. I do hope one day we will have more hydrogen cars.

Bob, performing an acceleration test does not mean one is obsessed with acceleration. Some brands ask for this to be done during the test. Bear in mind, these cars are press cars and sometimes rules are in place.

I've also driven the Hyundai Nexo, a very lovely car, I only had it for a few hours, so didn't get a chance to film it.
I personally prefer hydrogen vs electric, but the trouble is the fueling infrastructure in Europe, it's a bit of a disaster. I do hope one day we will have more hydrogen cars.

Why are reviewers obsessed with acceleration. What is more important is the practicality of the vehicle.
Bob, performing an acceleration test does not mean one is obsessed with acceleration. Some brands ask for this to be done during the test. Bear in mind, these cars are press cars and sometimes rules are in place.
5.8 seconds 0-100 maybe due run flat tyres? Anna please try non run flat tyres.
