I absolutely adore your unboxing videos. Very meticulous and always leaving no stones unturned. Definitely my Go-To content creator for Board Game Unboxing bar none!
@Rueya Shirogane Thanks so much! I know not everyone values "unboxings", but for me, I appreciate seeing all the stuff, because during a playthrough you don't always see everything in use. :)
@Aneet Singh Chadha The graphic design is much improved in my opinion from the 1st edition, and the tokens and health trackers are definitely a help during the game. I'll have a playthrough coming Friday! Thanks for watching! :)
This game has been on my radar for awhile now. I've been all in on Marvel Champions but this game looks like it would be a nice change up and be alot of fun. Hope all is well with you Dave.
@Joel I've also got a solo play using the 3 easiest to play heroes against the least difficult villain if you want to see the basics of how to play. Hope that helps in making a good decision! Thanks for watching!
@@DaletheCasualGamer oh im definitely going to have to give that a watch for sure!!! of course man, you're welcome. i love your videos especially your Marvel Champions ones! and thank you
Heading over to your play through now. I have played a handful of games with the Definitive Edition. Love the component quality...but am I the only one who would trade all those "10" damage tokens for a pile of "3" damage tokens???? This game has so much to track...as I am putting damage down to "all targets"... I often run out of "1" damage tokens and need to go back and "make change" with 5's and 10's. So much math, lol
@Tom Moran Haha! The original game didn't have tokens at all to track ... we got lost keeping up with all the buffs and de-buffs. That was a big complaint about this game. The tokens definitely help, but still a lot of upkeep. Thanks for watching, and good luck saving us from the evil villains ... and doing math! ;)
@aSyphodias While running 3 heroes for solo mode isn't terrible, I see Marvel Champions keeping that spot for super hero solo play. But for multiple players, I can see this getting played with groups that aren't that big into Marvel Champions. :)
@Reinaldo Gomez Larenas I enjoy 3 or 4 in a group, but no asperations of doing that solo ... but with that said, playing with 4 people, that is an investment in time. 2 to 3 players is the sweet spot for me. :)
I played a ton of this when the app first came out only to discover months later it was an actual physical game. I was never a bright child. It’s loads of fun as long as the ever changing rules don’t get to you. And frankly the whole faux comics theme I always thought was too cute by half. That said this new edition looks wikid. Quality components throughout.
Am a huge Sentinels fan and had everything from the original game, although it is long gone now. Absolutely love the video game/app as it just makes everything easier to track. I saw this Kickstarter and it just rubbed me the wrong way, in as much as it was a bit of a slap in the face of people who had gotten behind the original. With that said, I am curious to see how it plays because I absolutely love the IP. The podcasts that cover the history of the characters is one of my all time favorites. Looking forward to your playthrough.
@writerguy911 I understand that feeling, kind of felt similar with Wild Assent. Got the 1st edition, and just after I get that, they introduce 2nd edition with bigger miniatures! I've heard the designer really created a great backstory for each character and villain, explaining the whole world. Neat system, and if you don't like making a custom hero deck, this might be a good option instead of Marvel Champions for some people ... although running 3 characters for a solo play is something to consider. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer The thing that initially drew me to Sentinels was the characters and villains, which all play so differently and really feel thematic. I am glad that this new edition is getting more people to experience the game, which would have been difficult and daunting with the previous edition.
@PrestOnLife Thanks for watching, and glad you are enjoying the Marvel Champions plays!! I'm not sure if I'll really dive into Sentinels, while I really enjoy the game for multi-player, I'm not a fan of running 3 characters to play solo ... but we'll see what happens. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer Yeah I understand that. I really enjoy both games but that is definitely something Champions has over Sentinels. I can attest though it is easier to run 3 characters in Sentinels than if you were to do 3 in Champions! Fingers crossed you change your mind!

Really liking the overall aesthetic of the game. Cant wait for a playthrough!

Oh yeah, the proof pf purchase token, all the cool kids want it
@Angel Paredes And that's why I'm keeping it ... I want to be one of the cool kids. ;)

I almost bought this today, I decided against it and thought I'd watch and unboxing first and such

about time you got yours... had mine for awhile and played it several times... we should get together and talk about this sometime...
@idjester Haha! Already sent you an email. :)
Almost backed this one but I am more of a 'true solo' player so Marvel Champions and recently got LOTR LCG were more appealing.

Quite the upgrade from the first edition … but can those heroes survive against Marvel Champions? ;)
It' a really good game. Not very different from the first one, but they improved many things. Can't wait for the expansion!
With the success of the KickStarter, I would expect them to give the same treatment to the rest of the content. :)
