just found you while researching "steel drums" also love harp but thanks for all the wonderful videos to watch!
As usual, a great review
I went ahead and emailed Eve Stone asking about this model and why they discontinued it, and here is what she said:
We made about 10 Anne doubles total, but one had major problems. The tension was just too much for the Anne double harp. So, no, we do not make this as a double anymore. Besides, the Anne double weighed about 15 pounds and was definitely not a lap harp. However, we can still make you a single-strung Anne.
Thanks for the comparison. It's been impossible to compare and contrast, due to COVID as well as the great distance between makers.
Thanks for the tip, I am checking it out.
Thank you for sharing your harp discoveries online. I love watching your review videos - super helpful for deciding which lap harp I will eventually purchase (since I cannot possibly buy as many as you). How do you find the time to maintain them all ?
It's actually one of my favorite parts of harp playing! I enjoy the tuning and dusting almost as much as the playing - they're such beautiful creatures :D
I have always wanted to learn to play the harp. Oh I am watching your unboxing… that is so beautiful…. Do you sell harps? I can afford $800 to $1000. It has to be American made. I have a thumb piano I bought in W. Va. Can you refer me to someone, plz.
Hello! Thanks for such a nice video! I just saw you introducing the mini harps you own. I'm just a beginner and learned about a month with Harpscicle harp which I lent it from a company that sells. I use Camac 38 strings only when I get a lesson from a harp class. However, as I've been searching more, I find out that there are quite a lot of brands that I didn't know. The double string harp is really interesting and I would like to know if you recommend it for beginners?
Actually I'm looking for my first harp to buy. I live in S.Korea and the most popular one is Harpscicle as a lap harp.
My teacher advise me to buy a good one if I could afford. I want it to be more than at least 26 strings and be compact and that does not take much space, but then I found Harpscicle not much comfortable that I got some pain after playing it. I don,t have a good back though.. so I'm waiting for my harp stand to be arrived soon. Is there any recommendation for 1st harp to buy? Because of spatial issue I won't be able to get bigger floor harps.. at the moment.😞 Sorry for too long messages and thanks in advance!🙂
Beautiful voice of your harp. I'm getting Meghan harp.
OMG! I have a large collection of lever harps (mostly single-strung), but I just got my first double-strung--a preowned Rees Double Aberdeen 36x2 (no longer made) in the optional lower A-A stringing, and I LOVE it! However, I'm still wanting a smaller double-strung, as well. I've been thinking about a Stoney End Brittany or Brea double, or a Rees Double Morgan Meghan, or a Marini Made Bass Double. However, I didn't realize that Stoney End had ever made a double that ended on the C below middle-C. Do you have any idea why they discontinued it? I wish this model were still an option!
Found your channel thanks to the UA-cam algorithm. If you’re looking for something different to play in the string family, check out a Taishogoto. Super easy to play, cheap on the secondhand market, great sound (most can be electrified), and a load of fun.
So interesting! I am in love with your videos. One of the reasons I'll be buying my first lyre soon is because of watching you! I was wondering what is your zodiac sign? 💖
Aww I'm so glad to have inspired you! I'm a Pisces :D
@@MusicalMollyKhan wow me too 💖 thanks for the reply!
Is there any chance you would be willing to sell this harp?
How you can learn arp
+1 like for the kid :D
Aww thanks! I actually was almost in tears editing the unboxing because she's so much bigger now!
