- I have always wanted to sail the world, and now that I’m down to one sailboat, is it time to quit my job and go sailing? There is a lot to think about, and despite the answer being clear I struggle with the decision to live my dream and go sailing. But why is it so hard to make a choice that I want to make? So, do I stay, or go I sail away to live my dream?

I think you did right! And i'm curious to see the next steps you take and how will you manage financials. Your story (and struggle) is inspiring to me, I have that passion and dreams but also a family with little kids, so I'm trying to imagine my options.
Thanks! Good news, next week's video is actually about finances and how I got to the point I can sail. Hopefully some of it will apply; if not I'll be doing future videos about finances along the way and am always open to any questions you may have! I am in sort of the same boat, but my issue isnt employment and funds, its family. I have a child in college, and an elderly mother holding me back. I have stared at this problem for the last year now and i am still not sure what to do.
Family concerns make things more complicated for sure. With financial stuff it's easy enough to start over... you can't get time back. Worse is, it's hard to be in two places at once. Depending on employment options, you could take a few months sabbatical and do a trial run. Would give you a lot of feedback before making the jump full time.
