This takes me back. As a child in Grenada, in the '50's we made just such a kite, only thing is my father & uncle would make them about 5ft tall. No fancy paper, just brown. On a good day we would launch such a monster, it would lift me off the ground & with several hundred yards of rope leave it to fly all day & night. The "Mad Bull" roaring.Eventually the rope would break & we would drive cross country to try & find it. What fun. I would so love to do that again.

I asked my friends to send me up some kite sticks from Bermuda, but the closest you can get them from in NC is Hobby Looby or a craft store.
