This was the first action game introduced to me by my father when i was 8 but only dmc and dmc 4 was out back then
I really hope DMC sparks a new interest in making proper action games. Back then there were plenty of of them but now there's one maybe two a year and most are by Platinum. Hopefully after Nioh 2 team Ninja can make a new Ninja Gaiden.

The only thing I'll ask is don't let V be a forgotten character we all really liked him and a lot of people are gonna miss him. Otherwise this is easily one of the best games I've ever had the privilege of playing and any lover of action games should play this.
V has his own manga, so he won't be forgotten that easily.

You delivered one hell of a game Itsuno-san. Not only you resurrected a near dead franchise, but you continued Kamiya-san's legacy and doing a damn well job of it.

The ONE game I would not mind DLC for, but am actively asking for more DLC, and the devs are like "Nope, no more DMC V content"

@@oguzakdeniz809 I heard rumours that they couldn't add them to the base version because they were using a new engine and they were unable to recycle or transfer the animations and move set from DMC4SE, meaning they would have to redo and develop all the moves through mocap
@@Manjawline I think Vergil in dmc 4 se was prepared for dmc 5 in the first place. But obviously they had to cancel it due to their policies

Unfortunately, seems like a game that is supposed to be enjoyed over the course of more than one playthrough is a foreign concept for many gamers.

It's a shame really. This generation has that mindset. I guess it's one of the reasons why so many AAA games are so hell bent on unnecessary open world structure especially when they aren't familiar with it. Play it once and you're done.
Seen that trend with recent Sony exclusive games.
Yeah for real, one of my friends saw me playing dmc5 and the other day I had told him I beat the game so he said: "didn't you beat the game already? Why TF are you still playing?"
I just said it's fun....

First the RE2 REMAKE which in my opinion is the best remake/reimagining of a any game ever made regardless of it being a resident evil game and then DMC5! Both games are AWESOME and it really goes to show the quality and care they put out when making their products. I literally completed DMC5 yesterday and I FKN LOVED IT.... I was first put off by v watching gameplay trailers and stuff i genuinely thought I wouldn't like his play style but he actually made me think damnnnnnn this dude is cool as hell with an awesome and original way to fight so I was pleasantly surprised.. and both Nero and dante are awesome as expected... I won't go into spoilers.. but.. i really hope somehow we get V in the next DMC even though.. well you know.. lol
I'm really looking forward to Resident evil 8 and nemesis remake too 👍
V is probably going to be a one and done character like Lucia [weeps]
Well don't forget their Monster Hunter World is going well too and will get Expansion this September for Console, PC still delayed until winter.

He's perfectly right. The more choice the better, even if the player gets overwhelmed and not use some of them. I played the game on a save that has cleared the game on devil hunter difficulty already so I already had all the skills and devil breakers..etc and started on son of sparda as a result. It was overwhelming at first but you get better as you play.

Loved DMC5 and can't wait for DMC6 but i really want to see what Itsuno's team can do with Dragon's Dogma now, that game was extremely flawed but with so much potential.

Capcom is mostly focused on their Monster Hunter expansion and Itsuno is working on Dragons Dogma 2
I don't think we will get anything until 2020 sadly
I'm mostly hoping for Turbo mode because the game is a bit too slow

Ok, now THIS is how you add replayability to a game! Itsuno and team put so much effort into making a 2nd playthrough just as, if not better, than the first playthrough, depending on the player.
Games that have a NG+ with amazing replayability like this will always keep me coming back. And not just with character action games. Even rougelike/lites like Dead Cells and Hades will keep me coming back for more.
Game devs that care this much about making their game fun to play after beating it once, twice, three times, whatever, will always be legends to me.

DmC mechanics and gameplay camera is better than all previous DMC until DMC 5 they mixed it and that what makes DMC 5 a perfect DMC

DmC gameplay and mechanics don't stand a chance against DMC3 and 4 in every single aspect and by the way DMC5 gameplay has nothing to do with DmC considering all its mechanics and combos are from 3 and 4. What DMC5 takes from DmC it's just the dynamic soundtrack and some interactive levels.

Son of Sparda is absolutely what it was meant to be. I enjoy that difficulty so much, it’s a helluva lot of fun.

I love this guy so much! DMC 5 is SO fun honestly i don't think i will ever stop playing it. I really hope they give us a co op mode DLC sometime in the future.
Great video and the best series any gaming channels like IGN, Game informer and Kotaku has ever done. One little nitpick is, Every thumbnail has its own colour but this one shares it's colours with the last one even though this cyan colour isn't really prominent in DMC. That's all. Love the show.
Awesome video. They did a great job with the combat which is the core of any game like this. Would have liked some more stage and enemy variety like DMC 4 but this was a great return for the series. Much better than the previous reboot. Still have to start on my third playthrough on DMD. I found both normal and hard very easy so far, for the most part. I had issues on the final bosses as I never learned them, but had so many leftover gold orbs it didnt matter.

This game is damn near perfect but it's a bummer that all the rest of the boss fights aren't dynamic like Goliath's. They're all set in one area and there's only one buster move you can do to them. 😔
There's at least one more boss that has multiple buster moves, the final one.

Devil May Cry 5 was so good that people are asking for MORE dlc.
Desperately need a seperate dlc for vergil's journey after the events of dmc 1 till dmc 5. Also the after game content regarding vergil and dante's future would be great
I genuinely think it was considered, and discarded just because they didn't want to make the same mistakes as Vergil's Downfall, even if they weren't the team that created it.
@@davidk7439 They should have made this time since the game felt sorta rushed at the end. Should have introduced a few more missions to develop vergil properly. Unlike dmc, the original vergil's character background is pretty solid so i think it would be a better idea. Hell i want a game with vergil as the main character tho

I definitely feel the same as Itsuno on Son of Sparda, it's really fun as someone who has experience with past DMC games. It has just the right amount of difficulty for me personally, Dante Must Die got pretty hard after the halfway point and Devil Hunter was too easy for me
