How about this award winning 500 HP! 1966 Ford Mustang ! Owner Glen discusses his 351( stroked to 393) Pantera motored restomod Fastback at the Grand National Roadster Show 2015. - with Mustang fastback and Ford Mustang at Pomona Fairplex Grand National Roadster. - at Pomona Fairplex Grand National Roadster.
Terrific build. I like how he did his own thing with the car, keeps the sheet metal pretty much factory with some nice frenched in aspects.
very true, classic looks mostly still in tact with a great bunch of mods.
Great looking car! I love all the little subtle touches and the interior color fits the car perfectly. Thanks for the vid, Rich!
+Rudderify Thanks for watching Joe, Happy New year!
That is a bad ass car! I see he likes my choice of gas cap. Wow. Stunning car.
I know I saw that, he has your gas cap :) This is a nice ride, sounds killer too.
Really liking the rear bumper too. I've never seen anything like that. Any chance you took a picture of it?
Cobrafanatik22 No I didn't ....but I can try and do a screen shot for you from the original video. Also he is at most of the shows around the area, so I am sure I will see him again.
I just screened shot the video. Very interesting and unique.
Cobrafanatik22 Nice, maybe something for your build?
love the hood hinges...very nice. I love the factory stuff too
***** Larry, Thanks for checking it out, a cool build and he walked away with a top award from the show.
I have a bog-standard 289 'A' Code '65 Fastback and - to be honest - I've never really been a fan of the "Custom resto-mod" scene because so many of them are really awful. This, however, is such an immaculately executed idea that I'm willing to make the exception. Excellent work.
Stock is hard to beat and I agree, it's hard to pull off mods tastefully that really work as a whole. This is a great build and really well sorted.
sunset ride is coolest sun going down just shining off paint good sounding rumble with some quiet music mann love sunset rides!!
i dig the new intro, didnt sound like he wanted much to talk about the GM parts on the Ferd... like the Olds Aura Door handles which the vette actuaslly shares from the GM parts bin lol, sweet ride an i love the interior..
StrtRodder100 Kenny, This guy does a bunch of local shows you will have to check it out, high build quality and great fit and finish...best part....it's got a lot of DIY from the owner.
I would only change the seats, no headrest is really dangerous. Sacrifice some looks for safety and I would daily this car!
Beautiful car
***** Pretty nice one and a lot o DIY too.
My wife gave me the go ahead. Strong! lol
+milwaukeegregg Thumbs up to that!
All around great car!!
Great build for sure.
Beautiful mustang man.
Nice job on this one for sure
Sweet ride.
scottsinfl Hey Scott, nice to hear from ya.
MustangConnection1 I always enjoy watching your vids it always something spectacular to see.
scottsinfl Thanks Scott! Much appreciated.
I had a 66 Fastback with a 289 2v and it was plenty fast
yup
Wow very nice .The car looks clean and sounds nasty .I have always loved Panteras [come out in 74 i think] There is a couple of them that show up at cruise nights around here and they sound great .I like the 65 and 66 body style .Just my opinion ,they are all cool .Take care .
Mordoor 53 Hey really appreciate you watching and commenting! It's hard not to like the 65-6 Mustang Fastback body style and this guy really did a heck of a job on his car.
Beautiful!
That's siiiiiick!!!
burnzy7722 Nice sounding Cleveland in that puppy huh?
MustangConnection1 yea man!!! im not a big Cleveland fan, but yea... siiiick for sure!!!!
If you are going to deviate from the original, you better do it like this guy.
He sure did it right, maybe something like this when Cole turns 16 ? Haha
He wants a truck.
Did He Beef Up the Suspension? Had A 66 Merc.Comet Cyclone & the 289 Suspensions Weren't Really Made For Much More H.P. Than A 289.Esp in Frt Suspension.Great Looking FB.
The car was a pretty sorted build so I am sure he did something with the sub-frame and suspension but not sure on the details.
is custom build means 100% new that looks like classic cars?
No Custom just means the car has many aftermarket parts and modifications. This one has been modified in many ways.
Whats the exact colour code for this? Looks amazing!
does the lighter work -ineed a smoke and a cold beer
well that wel-that get you to the beer store
Awesome Stang guys...Would you shoot your videos in such way, that we can take some nice screen shots and write a good looking article :)

Who did his interior?
I am not sure if he mentions that in the video or not and it's been a while.
"Deluxe Interior in San Dimas, California, did all the upholstery and interior work"...Hope that helps!...God Bless!
Love everything except the door handles. Stunning car though!
Those door handles are horrid, everything else looks great. Great motor choice.
I agree
I guess he needs to ask permission from my wife if he can fix the windshield wiper

351 Cleveland Motor came from a Pantera.
