I agree, I put all Chevy stuff on my build, but that’s just what I want, my view is build a car to the specs you want, I have a future project for a 78 Cutlass but gonna use my dad’s 455ci from his 442, both were his, the 442 is beyond repair so I’ll save them both by combining them, then throw a couple of Hurst emblems on it 😁
It's a beautiful car until you get to the rear quarters, all that attention to detail, then crap...love the car, the quarters have been done half assed.
agree - she sits right, sounds right, has personal touches which i'm fine with, but that rear quarter is just like a large ugly sheet bolted to the car and so in your face.
@@THESLlCK just saying it wouldn't take a million to unhalfass that look for the rear quarters...they spent plenty for the interior, engine, suspension, and wham half ass the quarters? Really?
The most unique Mustang I’ve seen in a long time. Making it your own is what it’s about. Riding on rails, autocross, daily driver sense to it. Ford, Chevy together with this one ☝️. Cool video
I literally looked at the thumbnail and yelled “oh my go!” for 10 seconds, thats the sexiest 66.. thats saying a lot cause i love the 67,68 style first than the 69,70 style and 64-66 3rd. I love the paint
Everyone has their opinions about the rear quarter panels and I realize that I support people who think outside the box. 1st Amendment, but we have to encourage, support each other at the end of the day. This car is rare, unique in its own way, and it is successful, complete, ready to be shown to the rest of the world. Love it.
This I why I love checking out other people builds. I probably wouldn’t have made a substantial amount of the choices that he made but on his car it works! Sounds like he’s happy with what he got and that all the really matters!
I’m a ford guy and love all the makes, that Ls3 is the best choice for the money! It’s all aluminum 2011 forward I believe, that’s what I would’ve put in there since it’s a custom anyways
Since no one has dared say it yet I will. Such a shame. It's bad enough they taking the fox bodies, but a classic. Owner doesn't give a shit what I think and neither do I care what he thinks of my opinion. Not hard or very expensive getting 600hp out of a 351. But hey to each his own. U shared the car I shared my opinion.
I don't get how it's "bad". Half the people complaining have no intentions of building a car, and the other half can't afford to do it to a high standard anyway. Something being a classic doesn't mean it's sacred. Just means it's old.
Your right he doesn't give a shit what you think if don't like what you see on this channel than don't watch it it's a real shame people like can't except the today's world of car building people get tired of the same old shit the real problem is most people that bitch about someone build is because they can't afford to build there own ps don't care if you like my opinion or not it's just the way it is.
I knew the chevy fan boys couldn't resist 😂 I saved up many years to build my car and I did so on my own without any shops help. Not just a guy driving a Prius complaining. Thanks for taking time out of your busy lives people to complain about my complaining.
I don't care who this car is from it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life my favorite car of all time time with that being said don't Disrespect the engine Bay.
I agree ! Build what you want . I think it’s the rivalry that Ford and Chevy has and some people choose sides. The engine is the soul of the car . I know the LS is one of the greatest engines and they say you get more bang for your buck , but why not a coyote ? All and all it’s an awsome car
What's up brother? Like always, love what you do. But my personal opinion on this build is I am not a fan of the rear fender flares being mounted on like that. I'm more of a molded in looking like a factory wide body.
Look, my personal preference is to have a Ford engine in a Mustang, but that’s MY preference. If someone goes for something different? It’s their car, and that’s what modifying cars is about; go for the thing you prefer. Kick ass build, and a kick ass interior!
can we all just look in aww?? this dude has some phat and thickkk rear tires, and yet still has a good 3' of room in the back with the widebody for an even wider tire. sheeeeeesh
Not married to the green and the brown interior, prolly would of kept it all brown or black but a a badass, beautiful car. The matte green, black and red stripe make it stand out and I’ve never seen them together like that.
I wasn't sure about the rear fender flares, but the colour of the car makes them work. I never would of thought of brown interior either, but damn that soon grew on me. Halfway through the video I fell in love with the whole package. 👍
I love it! I cant stand when people say ur mixing ford, chevy etc. bitch it isnt your build or your money. The whole idea of a custom car is making it your own vision! These are the same people that have stock cars.
Kick azz street fighter build....it’s very militaristic....like an old warbird....a P51 maybe? Wait, it is a Mustang! Great build and video guys! Rock on!🤙🏽
personally i think he should have moulded the rear quarter or do a rivet style on the front fenders too but very nice car, loving what art has done and hope more of his work or a shop tour video is in the future
Some people don’t know that actually the LS motor was introduced to Ford first before they took the Chevy. It fits right in the coyote is something that you have to modify.
👍💖 Oh my, I'm theese kind of builds 💯% at my shop, Motor PLUS, Sweden. I think every single soul shall have the right to build and fabricate their own expression, without beeing "bullied" by say purists. Hat's off to all of U guys @ Autotopia LA. ✨💕
That's ANOTHER KICK-ASS Car. Out side like a good pair of jeans inside like a casual dress shirt in and a great pair of boots.! Why the clothing analogy, just looks comfortable ,Cool , with Muscle. Great build !
I can appreciate the vision. But I will always say the riveted fender flares look unfinished and just cheap. It doesnt take that much to finish the fender flares like on the white one! But still cool factor and I bet shes a blast to drive!! Thanks again Shawn for all your and your teams efforts in bringing us these cool videos!!
I absolutely love the style of the early fastback Mustangs.........to me the best style of any car ever built. I'm impressed by the stance, color, etc but don't care for the rough aspect of the fender flares......I guess you call it 'aggressive'. That said, I prefer it to bling.....much better vibe.
Detroit speed builds great stuff but when it comes to 1st gen Mustangs Mike Maier has amazing suspension technology fro these.. I would of went with a Roush Yates engine I know they're big money but either way amazing build.. I just believe Ford in Ford and GM in GM.. love the content beautiful car..
There is nothing left of this thing that was Ford except the shell and doors. So what's the big deal with a different motor being used, everything else isn't Ford... Love LS motors, sexy in that Stang engine bay! Cheaper, easier to work on, add upgrades to for more power and one strong running motor.. oh, and so reliable. Forgot to add, I agree with the rear wheel flares, there has to be a better way to design them. Love the color, those sweet wheels and interior. It's a 9 for me. Keep bringing the cars that are driven, and driven hard the way I like to drive mine..
Shawn, this latest build is beyond belief. Andrew knows this business because people are his business. I do have to ask you this question! Does all the raw power generated from all those acceleration runs, in front of AutopiaLA, flow into some kind of battery? Because you sure have mighty quiet neighbors in the area you're located at!

🤢🤢gross... Ls in a ford is a disgrace
Who was the builder I definitely want to give him some business. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks
I really like this build. It seems like a villains car. Not perfect but I like it more because of that.
Another amazing car. This channel never disappoints me. Build what you want!!
I agree, I put all Chevy stuff on my build, but that’s just what I want, my view is build a car to the specs you want, I have a future project for a 78 Cutlass but gonna use my dad’s 455ci from his 442, both were his, the 442 is beyond repair so I’ll save them both by combining them, then throw a couple of Hurst emblems on it 😁
Doesn't get much better than that when it comes to old-school muscle
.....WHAT???
Art is an awesome builder he’s been working on my 65 for the last two years fair guy very knowledgeable
what does your build look like? any photos? I'm looking to get a custom metal widebody built
Contact info for Art? thx
Very nice Mustang. No problems here with the LS swap. Sharpe car indeed.
It's a beautiful car until you get to the rear quarters, all that attention to detail, then crap...love the car, the quarters have been done half assed.
not everyone has a million to throw into their project car buddy. I doubt you have better to show...
agree - she sits right, sounds right, has personal touches which i'm fine with, but that rear quarter is just like a large ugly sheet bolted to the car and so in your face.
@@THESLlCK just saying it wouldn't take a million to unhalfass that look for the rear quarters...they spent plenty for the interior, engine, suspension, and wham half ass the quarters? Really?

He said he did on purpose
I love it when he says "RELAX GUYS"....you KNOW what coming....lol
😂😂
Great car, but I could do without the rear fenders.
I was always told to not say anything if I couldn't say something good , so .........
Or at least if you spend that kind of money body work them into the quarters.
Yes. The fact they are squared off at the top instead of arching makes it look even worse.
Agreed! Needed to be molded in! Looks shitty!
The interviewer basically talked shit about the mans car through the whole segment. You can tell the car owner was getting annoyed.

I love the paint
And im not mad if it has an LS
@Aeternalis Armentarius 66
@Aeternalis Armentarius he edited the title lol

Cool comment here. We all get an opinion and personally I like the car a lot. Especially after driving it
Those quarter panels...
@4:50 "I knew the car wasn't going to be perfect."
I'd say, You nailed it!
That's a wicked sweet Beast! Hang in there guys I know holidays can suck for some of us Stay in the fight shit will get better..
This I why I love checking out other people builds. I probably wouldn’t have made a substantial amount of the choices that he made but on his car it works! Sounds like he’s happy with what he got and that all the really matters!
I’m a Chevy guy. That should have a coyote or a 429. It still looks killer I just think it would suit the far way better when that hood pops.
I’m a ford guy and love all the makes, that Ls3 is the best choice for the money! It’s all aluminum 2011 forward I believe, that’s what I would’ve put in there since it’s a custom anyways
PUT MORE COYOTES IN CHEVYS.
...said no one.
@R Skip sucks for you kid.
Hell nah!
😂😂😂😂 there is a reason that LS engines are so popular. Its because they are 100%better than a ford engine. Sorry. But that's the good mail
Since no one has dared say it yet I will. Such a shame. It's bad enough they taking the fox bodies, but a classic. Owner doesn't give a shit what I think and neither do I care what he thinks of my opinion.

This guy built a sick ass car and wanted a modern cheap injected small block. I don't see what the problem is. Go hate somewhere else!
Well said👍

LS the world!!! Don’t listen to the haters!!! I have an LS in my 63 F100. Great looking car!!!
Prior to coming across this UA-cam page I didn’t think California had this many badass muscle cars!
car culture
Very cool. Car has a fighter pilot feel to it. Very P51 ish. 😎
Cool observation man!! P51!! Yeah!!
SWEET STANG! I LOVE OLD SCHOOL!
Such a mean build 👊
The LS put a smile on my face. The car, hmmm. He's enjoying it and that's all that matters
Great lookin' Mustang build
That color is sharp
The colors of this car are amazing, I love this thing
God demn that's a beauty!
Yup that'll piss off the ford guys lol cool car , I agree about the fender flares I like smooth
I don't care who this car is from it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life my favorite car of all time time with that being said don't Disrespect the engine Bay.
Build your car the way "you" want it. Nice ride, enjoy the miles of smiles :-)
Love it man awesome build. Everything you show I enjoyed it man
That is a very well built Mustang. So many great details and all of them in the no nonsense department. Thumbs up!

This build is amazing as a badass daily driver!
Such a cool car. A bit rough in detail work but cool driver

Coolest thing I saw was those kicka$$ hood latches.🤯🤯🤯🤯
Big money........ too bad it doesn’t have a Ford under the hood.

Exactly hot rodding in general is all about adding stuff that isn't factory & ultimately will be personal to anyone for any reason. 🙂👍 Bitchin' Stang!
nice lope during burn out....liked the aluminum floor mat look.
He never asked about the color of the car. One tough color!
That interior is...something...
It’s a good running, straight framed monster.
I understand purity in cars, but I also agree that you can and should do what you want!
I will have that very car someday. It fits my military career somehow. I have no idea why, it fits better than a breach.
personally i think he should have moulded the rear quarter or do a rivet style on the front fenders too but very nice car, loving what art has done and hope more of his work or a shop tour video is in the future
I love these "real" builds.
You and me both
Good way to rune a nice Mustang
That color is awesome! B-e-a-utiful!
My only complaint on this car is the rear flares...great color and very fitting of it being a mongrel
I like the 427, side pipes and the rims along with that color.
Yeah, I love this build too

This thing is absolutely ridiculous I love it! Keep it up!!ha!!!!
This Stang has the look, full on badass, sinister and best of all - modern parts. Way more interesting than a Hellcat or Demon.
Yep....I agree!

Beautiful 🤩
Only knock is the rear fender flares but great vehicle
Yup fine attention to details then wham, half ass quarters
Ya not a fan it's a bit much but still a beautiful car
Agreed, looks like an afterthought
FINALLY found a stang with 295s on 18s like I want on my '68.
As soon as he popped the hood I knew some people would totally lose their ish🤣🤣🤣🤣

Love the paint job
Nice looking Stang. Am a purist so you know what that means but hey, its not my money not my car so enjoy it brother!
Damn thats a bad ass mustang love the color combo
Reminds me of my first car but was lime green with 2 dark green stripes, Keystone mags, dual exhaust.
Denzel Washington has good taste of cars
Absolutely stunning
Only thing I don’t like is that it’s too quiet lol. Absolutely badass ride! Love it!
Probably because California, or he lives in a gated HOA area and Karen and Susan will fine him.
That’s a looker 👀
Interior is awesome.
Correction that’s a beautiful car 🔥🔥
I'm not a huge Mustang fan, My gosh it totally amazing car.
Great job Art
for most muscle car guys it needs to be dangerous enough to satisfy, its all about getting to the edge of dangerous
That is a solid motor, but so is the coyote! Basically the same engine.
That is a bad ass Stang!!!
The ass being the bad part 😂
Nice car👍 it would be even better if it had a coyote heart in it..
Sick!!
