I am 15 and i love mustangs so much that i am already started saveing money for one 🤣 (in my country you can have a car if you are 18 Years old so i have a lot of time)
I graduated high school in 2000. Due to an insurance settlement from a car wreck injury when i was 5, i had money to pick my first car. My dad had a 64 chevelle ss 327 in high school and my uncle/dad's older brother had a 68 GTO with a reputation that hurt lots of feelings. So growing up hearing all those CRAZY stories from the late 60s early 70s i had to have a legit muscle car. Decided a 67 chevelle looked the best to me so after almost 2 years of searching i got a 67 true super sport with a fresh 396 from texas = no rust. Car wasn't perfect but very solid new interior and reliably driveable. Got a good deal cause the guy was moving. Takes patience and time to pull the trigger on a worthy deal. Still have it. My dad's chevelle now he's had 35 years is a 68 true SS factory 4 speed 468 cubic inch borderline race yet steet-able motor my uncle built. It sounds scarier than this mustang but the stang does sound really sweet though. Respect and props to this young guy. He's enjoying himself! I'm happy, he is happy.
Obviously the classics have more character and there's something to be said for the people who put the time in to keep em on the road. But electric cars are fun, comfortable, and easy to daily drive. Apples to oranges when you think about it.
I gotta say, I love this car! It is a perfect build for a young kid (actually, for car guys of any age), no expensive fancy paint to worry about, nice solid dependable motor, has a great look and a blast to drive. So nice to see young guys into American muscle. Of course, now that I know your heritage you're probably not the typical SoCal kid these days. I'd like to see you do a road trip in the car. Maybe up the coast or something on some interesting roads.
Good to see you young folks having a genuine interest in cars like these!!! Keep the tradition going!!! LOVE the Mustang and that sound of the engine/exhaust combo is out of this world!!
Seeing someone young into an old Mustang is nothing less than awesome! Your car took me back thirty seven years when I bought my first car identical to yours. Many hours and late nights fixing it up and leaning how to do things before "just youtube it" came along. I have the same keychain as well!
As a gm guy, I'd buy a mustang purely on the exhaust note.......That's music to my ears.....perfect sound. Also the 289 is a great engine, if it puts a smile on your face.....then its enough motor. Can't wait to put a 4 speed in my camaro.
Guy at race track I think 21 yrs old had probably a 79 Camaro he took out the 305 and the automatic put in a 4-speed with 350 it only ran 16's in a quarter-mile but it was fun to watch he smoked the tires halfway down the quarter-mile track. He wasn't one of those kids to sit at home playing video games. He loved cars. His uncle told him help yourself to my car parts pile. I thought he said he took the pedals out of a Chevy truck.
Nothing like a classic Camaro or mustang with a slick exhaust and a manual. Power on brother! The car community needs more people like you. Too bad all the cool people like us don't live centrally and can't get together to kick it and enjoy our own rides. Doesn't matter who makes it, we all have the same passion and a cool ride is a cool ride. I love all cars.
Your mustang looks cool in a road racer way ' great exhaust note' and the acceleration is awesome 👍.I dont want to say this 'but I advise not going quick in built up areas like that'you can never know if someone 'maybe a kid chasing a ball runs out in front of you' or someone steps out or whatever' it could be a life changing event. Save it for less populated areas and avoid strife. 🙂👍
Dude, what an awesome sound. I’m so jealous. I’ve always wanted a Stang after watching Bullitt. Very rare here in the U.K. I would just cruise at 10mph through my town with the windows down listening to the burble.
Sick car bro, the SOUND is so sweet! Also you being genuinely humble about is makes the video even better...people can tell you love it and it's not fake - keep it up!

Thanks much for these videos! I don't know if there's any better sound than a loud V8/4 speed combo. As a young man I had a 62' Grand Prix with tri power and a 4 speed. I could not get enough of that sound, driving it around Chicago at night, winding it out on the Lake Shore Drive on ramps, underground Wacker and on stoplight to stoplight contests. Man, that was living!
@@mightymustang5067 I once went on a ride with a friend in his car. He didn't blip the throttle on downshifts and he rode the clutch to sync up the engine/trans speed. I can't imagine not blipping when downshifting, unless the car rev matches for you.
but the way he does that is useless. you blip throttle to match rpms of engine and transmission, but he blips before changing gear, lets engine rpms get back low and only then change gear. may be i don't understand something, but it looks weird
What a treat, thank you for reminding me of why I am such a vintage car lover!!! Thank heaven for the internal combustion engine and all the beautiful fast fun they gave us. In Toronto, way back, Hwy. 401 was deserted on Sunday nights after midnight so the men could really open it up and see what these machines were capable of and see what kind of handling they had at high speeds. Fastest I ever travelled in an Automobile was about about 120 mph I think it was a 66 Chevelle slant 6. Thanks for this post you made my month
It is amazing to see today how the cars I grew up with were so hard to start. Later on they introduced some electronics that make rough starts a thing of the past. They start so smooth now like they are already warm. Im not for modern everything but I appreciate the modern electronics everytime I start my 1994 5.0 GT.

Awwwww....... Music to my ears!!!! That is SO awesome!!!! Back in 1984-1986 I used to drive my dad's 1965 Mustang. I loved (LOVED) that car. Though it was ALL stock. Well, except for the 15's in the back. He had 14's in the front. He only paid $200 for it in 1980 (?). He bought it from some lady. I forget what color it was at first. But my dad sanded it, primed it and painted it "Black and White" like a police car. LOL. In the mid or late 1990's, my dad gave it to my niece..... I was sad. Then she let her boyfriend drive it.....and he Wrecked it!!!!!! Then I was super sad, Heart Broken. 😭😢
This brings back memories! I smiled at the long tube headers and x pipe. I ran the exact same on my ( ok my wife's ;) ) '65. I did a lot to the engine, wont bore you, but the sound was 2 1/2 inch pipes through 2 chamber flow masters ( this was in the late 80's early '90's. ) In 2nd gear ( yes a 4 speed! ) @ 4k it sounded AMAZING. Great car, have fun with it. I've owned 3 mustangs ( 2.. the '65 really was my wifes! ) and miss them.
I really like the difference between the exterior and the interior. The exterior says this is a driver, while the interior is is really good shape. Just a great car all around.
I saw your video about your EFI retrofit. That fuel injection system is probably going to do wonders. More power, easier starting, better fuel economy and emissions.
I used to think the best muscle cars were show cars with great paint jobs, no rust, numbers matching, etc. but as I get older, muscle cars like this with unfinished paint, a little rust, a little beaten up, but great engines and brakes are what I’ve fallen in love with.
I had a 1967 in High School 289 A model block (Art Carr C-4) with mods suggested by a customer of mine I used to deliver chili powder to, I wont mention any names but his boat was named Sea Shell! The best place for stickers if you dont really want them but have some you gotta run is on your door jams. We raced off road and our pre-runner looked like a stock with tires and a mild lift but was built by Ray Currie "GSRyder" Very Trick With all the stickers for sponsor's & contingency inside the door jams, looked clean. With the doors opened it said "Racecar" (spelled backwards we all know is "racecaR").
This Ford V8 motor, for me, it's my favorite sounding engine in the world by far! The second sounding engine for me, is the 350z nissan's v6, and the 911 Porsche 1972 at third. Really thanks for sharing, the sound capture was amazing

P. S. It was a automatic. Each time I came to a stop, I could feel the downshift into first geer. I loved that drag.
Nice car dude. I can appreciate the younger generations love for the muscle cars.
2:27 that hood spring made a cartoony sroing sound
This brings back memories! I smiled at the long tube headers and x pipe. I ran the exact same on my ( ok my wife's ;) ) '65. I did a lot to the engine, wont bore you, but the sound was 2 1/2 inch pipes through 2 chamber flow masters ( this was in the late 80's early '90's. ) In 2nd gear ( yes a 4 speed! ) @ 4k it sounded AMAZING. Great car, have fun with it. I've owned 3 mustangs ( 2.. the '65 really was my wifes! ) and miss them.
Man I like your Mustang and it's sound. Great to see someone younger actually enjoying a classic Stang. Great job keep having fun with your car.
I had a 1967 in High School 289 A model block (Art Carr C-4)
with mods suggested by a customer of mine I used to deliver chili powder to, I wont mention any names but his boat was named Sea Shell!
Best sounding and performing engine ever. ,.... Ford from the good Lord
This Ford V8 motor, for me, it's my favorite sounding engine in the world by far! The second sounding engine for me, is the 350z nissan's v6, and the 911 Porsche 1972 at third. Really thanks for sharing, the sound capture was amazing
289 can be an absolute beast if built right.
They're snappy ass motors..... wind up really fast.
You got me sold on these mufflers. They sound phenomenal
