    God bless you as well!! This is a tremendous video and your attention to detail such as mentioning the O-ring and why the new filter wouldn’t fit in was excellent! Video quality and sound was also fantastic. I have a 2012 outlander with the CVT and this is virtually identical so this helped me out tremendously. Thank you 🙏

    Nice tutorial. I changed the same filter on a 2017 Outlander Sport last week. The location of the components were about the same as your car. The bottom screws holding the battery bracket are tough to get at and the last screw holding the transmission cooler next to the engine was tightened from underneath. The job got completed thanks for showing the way.

    Great video for those with outlander sports/RVR/ASX as they share the lancer chasee and have the transmission filter up front as well. So many people and mechanics don't know about this filter and i fear never get changed. You need to, especially if you have a CVT!

    Hi Lolo. Thank you for this video. I have a few questions:
    1. Is it same procedure for 2018 outlander?
    2. I already got the cvt fluid changed by dealer. Will I need to top up the fluid after I change the filter now?

    • @lologroovydiy
      @lologroovydiy  5 місяців тому +1

      I'm not familiar with the outlander, but if your transmission cooler filter housing location is same as in my video... you can change it. Because the position of the filter is higher than the transmission. The only fluid that will leak is the one in the filter housing. Estimate the fluid that will come out and put the same amount back will be much better.
      Just to verify, I have a link for a 2016 outlander and please compare the location of the filter housing with your car. If this is not the location then it should be under the battery same with the Lancer.

      Most CVT cars recommend to change the fluid at 60,000 miles. Sorry I can't make a comment or suggestion... cause I don't know the driving history of the car. CTV transmission is very tricky... somtimes problem will show up when you change the fluid! Better to have a good mechanic take a look before you decide. Thank you for watching and have a good one.

      There's a lot of reasons for a car to have an irregular idling. If I were you, I'll have a good mechanic check it out. If your car is equipped with transmission cooler filter, might as well change the filter.

      Check your engine oil dip stick and the oil filler cap, if the oil is cloudy or mix with anti freeze it might be a blown head gasket. I'm not sure why your anti freeze is contaminated. Better take it to a certified mechanic to have if properly check before it gets worst. Good luck and hope it'll be fix. Thank you for watching.

      Yes, you can change it. Because the position of the filter is higher than the transmission. The only fluid that will leak is the one in the filter housing. Estimate the fluid that will come out and put the same amount back will be much better. Good luck on your project. Thank you for watching and have a good day ahead.

    Hi, my Nissan Murano cvt is experiencing about 5 6 seconds delay when gear shifting. Sometimes, it doesn't engage at all. Is that a symptom of a dirty cooler filter? FYI, I just had fluid change and washed the strainer. But the issue persists. The mechanic had no idea about the external cooler filter. Thanks in advance.
