Unbelievably tight. This is the best I’ve ever heard them live. Thank you soooooo much for the upload. I just can’t believe they broke up this year. I thought Rise Against would be special after the unraveling but they fizzled out so quick. Wish 88 never broke up and they recorded a full length after the kid dynamite split. Slow Chorus Overlap and Reparations were like 88 fingers found their sound and it all was coming to a head. I feel like the next album would have really been their twisted by design. The new album is pretty wack IMO. Wish they wouldn’t have even released it. It doesn’t even sound like 88 besides a few tracks. All the right Words is a top 88 fingers Louie song so I can’t say it was a total loss. But that’s the sound I was kind of hoping would translate across the entire record. One of my favorite bands of all time for sure. Strung Out, Propagandhi, 88...

**I have to apologize for the novel, sometimes I get a bit too passionate about something, and don't realize how long I've been typing until it's too late. I don't expect you to read it, but even if you do and give up, I totally get it. The craziest part is that I hate talking in person (I might say a few hundred words per day), but I apparently have "diarrhea of the keyboard"...weird!**
I'm sure a lot of people will give you shit for this, and say things like 'bands "evolve", don't listen if you don't like it, blah blah blah', but it's terribly depressing when a band changes too far from the sound you fell in love with, or if they stay at the party too long and every song sounds like boring filler. I don't wanna shit on any bands, I appreciate all the amazing music they've given us, but take Jimmy eat world for example - First I was blown away in 1995 by "Digits" (split 7" w/ christy front drive), the quality was steady from Static Prevails to Futures in 2004 (IMO an album needs at least half the songs to be decent, and they were easily between 70-90%). Chase this light in 2007 was a close one (between 30-40% good). I hate to use the term over produced, but it was, there are too many songs where nothing stands out (almost like super market music), but the absence of their darker "scary-sad" (for lack of a better term) riffs/rhythm DID stand out, and THAT'S BAD because it's exactly half of what I loved about them, the other half is their "hopeful-happy" pop/rock (which I never realized until right now, but I can't think of too many bands that can play to both sides of that fence, and do both well)... I just realized I'm writing a novel again, so I'll start wrapping it up. They've been going downhill since, and I'm sure you get the point. There's one other band I wanna mention that really confuses me with the opposite effect, and it's Propagandhi. They started out playing what I guess you'd call melodic hardcore mixed with power/pop/punk. It was a perfect blend, and they didn't even have a beginning awkward stage, they started out AMAZING! Then came the change to ...I don't even know what to call it, I guess it's a Metal/punk hybrid of some sort? But there isn't even the smallest hint of an evolution, it just abruptly changes. If they were just another "Fat" band I wouldn't care that much, and even though they sounded like a fat band, they perfected that sound. Funnily enough I think what puts them over the top is the metal influences, the reason I don't like them now... WTF?! Since there's no way anyone read this far, purple monkey dishwasher!

I agree man and 88 Fingers Louie is one of my all-time favorite hardcore punk bands. I think reuniting to play shows is cool, but that's all it should have been (like in 2010). Yeah, That split in 1999 is amazing, it's a huge shame because I really couldn't get into Rise Against. I don't really care for the singer either, he legit kicked out Dan Precision just because he wouldn't cut his hair. 88 was so damn good though, even their B-sides are great.

@@scottbaylo I think propagandhi had some pressure from Fat to stick to that skate punk sound... And then they just did what they want. I sure love that band, in all of their phases.

This band is the precursor to Rise Against. Dan Precision and Joe Principe are 2 founding members.
