    If I had that much wine I wouldn’t want to leave my living room. Ps what’s your take on foods best for wine. I usually drink hard so for me it’s a Filipino dish called kinilaw made with raw fish, onions, zucchini, vinegar, salt, some msg helps, they also have different versions with raw pork, grilled goat, or with raw fish mixed with grilled pork. If however you do it with raw pork I recommend you used enough vinegar and to let the vinegar cook the raw pork for atleast 25 minutes. Adding crushed hot spicy peppers 🌶 make it taste a lot better. You have to chop it into like 3/4th inch slices, and also even smaller slices for the goat version it’s usually mostly the grilled skin with some meat still on it. It is Devine and tasty 😋.

      Cheers James. That sounds delicious! So much could be said about food & wine. Where do we start! I'm french and live in France, so I guess cheese is always a favorite right! What's best than a cheese platter and a nice selection of different wines, play around with what goes best with what!       Julien Miquel awesome thanks for having trust in me 😁 have you ever heard of Lambanog it’s a spirit made from direct coconut juice they cut into where the juice flows from the top of the coconut tree they have one called Puro it’s 95 proof in Manila however they have stronger ones maybe you could technically order it. I can’t find any here in Mindanao however. We only have flavored ones and Puro. The flavored ones are great too just add ice and drink it like a cocktail. With Puro I prefer shots chased with ice water. We normally do shots here chased with iced water unless we’re drinking mid priced imported Spanish Brandy or Johnny Walker we drink that with ice and no chaser normally. Well I’ll just check your Facebook I’ll shat with you then thanks. 🤠 ps Puro must be left in freezer for three hours before shots I just like it that way hehe.

      Julien Miquel yeah I suppose there’s also a I guess you could call it like a wine cooler version same process but no distillation it’s called tuba pronounced too baa 👍 it’s what you get before it turns to coconut vinegar it’s very sweet there’s so many ways to drink it too theres plain there’s with this thing called ton og and it turns it red then there’s with Pepsi and for some reason it has to be Pepsi there’s a way called kinotil where you put some hot pure cocoa unsweetened with beat eggs and put it in the tuba I would recommend you use the red tuba for that. We don’t drink tuba with ice. We fill up a little glass pretty full and each person has to finish the glass and then we pass it around 😛 I still have a hangover I’m making chicken rice stew just chicken rice and broth some msg salt gonna put some hard boiled eggs it it too I’m so hungry I didn’t have dinner and I still drank my gut is feeling it man hehe 🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅

      Gruner Veltlner pretty good w raw fish, brings out the fruity flavor notes of this particular wine

    Great video! Question: Why not re-brand this series to "Julien's Wine School" ? Not all videos are 3.5 minutes long and there is no point in restricting yourself to just 3.5 minutes imo.

      RakoonBerry yes, I think you are right. I’m on the verge of doing that. As this is not working, I just like to add too many extra details (that I think are interesting) and it doesn’t fit! Guess the idea is to be concise here but 3.5 minutes is very short for most topics. Thanks much for the suggestion and feedback. Still thinking, improving, and learning 🙏🏻🥂

      Thank you Andrew. I have a couple of bottles of ZA wines I've been meaning to make a video about for a while, a Vin de Constance by Klein Constantia, and a Sauvignon Blanc by the same winery. Hopefully I can get around to making those videos soon. There are many great wines in South Africa, wouldn't mind making more videos about them. Do you have a favorite style or winery?

    bartenders probably like to pour 4 from a bottle instead of 5 seems sharp. 6 ounces there. i always try for 6-8 pours tho. so 3 4 or 5 ounces.

    Excuse me. Ofciurse i respect ur informations but Im a Head Bartender and I know that 750ml is fir 2 person and 50ml for taste and 700ml for drink and 1 glass of wine should be serve 175ml. Ofcourse it depends on restaurants selling politics.

      Hi Serkan. Thanks for the info. I though I said standard serving size is either 5 or 6 onces in the video depending on the restaurant/bar which sounds like it's the same as what you're saying. Now for the other sizes you mention, I trust you know well, I don't think I specified the exact amounts you talk about, so I guess you're right. What do you mean by '700ml is for drinking'?

      @@UA-camJulien sorry for my english is not perfect. I mean a bottle of wine and champagne for 2 person and product 750 ml and 50ml for taste and 700ml serve in 4 glass. 2glass for each person. So thats why i said 175ml for a glass. Sorry maybe im wrong. I hope i did explain myself now.

      Good information.
      Keep in mind, the way I have seen the 750mL bottle being poured is ..... at home and in some restaurants 4 pours @ 187.5mL per glass; this would be a generous pour. The traditional or standard serving amount is 5 pours per bottle or 150m per glass. Some restaurants, banquets and business parties, frequently you'll see, as Julianne mentioned, 6 pours or 125mL per glass.

    Your glasses are large and serving looks smaller. I find if I use a smaller glass I can only pour so much wine! Haha..Cheers!
