Serenity those Koi are beautiful. Would Lily pads grow in your pond? The pruning you did do the Ceder came out nicely and the tree will get better light and offer a better view of the trunk line which is fabulous.
@PatriciaOConnorBonsaiBalcony Thanks Patricia! I've been trying to get lilies established in there, but I think the Koi are eating them. Sorry I haven't been watching many videos. Work has been nuts. I'm even having to work some weekends. I'll be doing crazy catcher uppering once things slow down. Prepare yourself! LOL❤️
@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 Yes, I have had to do that too. But this is just a time issue. There is so much work this year in the gravel pits and on the trucks. I'm barely home.
Those two fish in the video are Koi. The goldfish didn't come out. The goldfish are smaller. Only about 8 inches to 13 inches. Where the Koi are all over a foot long now. The little minnows are about 4 inches long.
Nice transformation of this twin trunk after pruning. Big difference. Really cool!
@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 Thanks Tom! Hopefully it perks up.

Such a cool tree!!
@TheBonsaiZone Thanks Nigel! Hopefully it comes back.
Weeds a never ending battle. Try some mulch on the top of your soil in the pot. I use cedar mulch on a few to help.

That's a big goldfish...😅😅 maybe you have a koi pond now...

Nice white koi. Babies you can sell to your local fish store?
@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 The Koi haven't bred yet, that I know of. Quite likely eggs would get eaten in here, there are a lot of fish.
That is one cool koi! Hope the birds did not eat the goldfish
@@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 Maybe the babies, but the other goldfish are 8 to 13 inches long. They won't fit in the mouth.
Is goldfish edible?
Yes, but they are ornamental fish here. The ones you see in the video are Koi. A type of carp. Also edible, but considered ornamental as well.
