Watching/experiencing the relationship between Kratos and Atreus evolve and grow is one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time. Initially Kratos is so harsh, angry and impatient with Atreus. It's so cool to see that very gradual change towards softness and love. That scene where Kratos almost puts his arm around Atreus is soul crushing but leads to such an amazing payoff. Truly peak storytelling, regardless of the medium
Absolutely agree. Some of the best storytelling and character development in video game history. God of War (2018) is on my top 10 of all time.
I would add Dyne from Skies of Arcadia and Nier from the PS3 Nier game. But very creative video wish I thought of it.

@@retroreviews_ I would say Sikes of Arcadia is one of the greatest RPGs out there. It has so much heart in that game. Highly recommend it, but hope you have a happy Father's Day!
