Finally a drama that uses their own voice, great production and cinematography. All the cast are amazing. I personally like the fact that they put someone of middle age to play the main leads instead of some young fresh face actors that looks to skinny and haven't ate in a while lol. So far I am loving every episode.

Wang Xuan comes from a very different and insular world. Marrying Xiao Qi is exposing her to a more expanded world of true love and caring through honesty and actions. He has more integrity than any royal that she could have married. He is enriching her life with what truly matters, love, kindness, caring, honesty, and safety. What a beautiful story.

I continue to re-watch this drama over and over again!! It is perfection....a masterpiece! These actors and actresses are perfect in their roles but no one can outact Zhou Yiwei and Zhang Ziyi in their characters....total magnificence! After watching many, many dramas, this one still ranks #1 in my opinion!!
I can’t get enough of this series, I’m watching it again and again. Although I have many favorite episodes, this is my very favorite, #1, because I believe this is when Awu fell in love with Xiao Qi and his love deepened for her. It made me laugh when he called her a drunken bum!! My #2 favorite is episode 33. I love this couple and their love story!
sigh I know the feeling. Same for me , re-watching non stop. Its such a refreshing change to watch a show with actors/actresses that can actually act , riveting story, mature love story... I can't found another show to hold my interest now (well not yet at least)..this one has definitely spoiled me ..lol
I love the lead actor you can see how he cares for his wife the Princess. How he dance with her and take care of her when they were ambush and most of all how he kissed her passionately. This episode made me smile and skip heart beating with their fantastic chemistry CP. The character of the general XQ has caught my heart. ZYW is such a great actor. When he looked at AW, touched her, talked with her and, protected her even on the battle scene in ep13, there's no doubt about his outstanding acting skill. Two thumbs up for episode 13 full filled with superb cinematography.
Did anyone notices...they start holding hand in this episode...beautiful couple...I can't believe the princess change since her husband safe three times...she realize then that her husband loves her so much...general XQ give her a chance if she accept him...said she loves him the most.

Loved this episode! Xiao Qi showed Awu the beauty of the area and they charmed each other. So sweet and romantic. At the fire part, she was like, "I could watch him struggle, but I won't." He graciously accepted help. They've started more than one fire! 🤭

That horse riding scene is everything!! I’m so glad the writers make them ride side by side like equals instead of making Awu ride the same horse as him like dimsel in distress.

Wow pure talent how zhang zi yi portrays the young playful awu. She is so charming. And zhou yi wei, that gaze, when he zooms in. His eyes express love with longing.
Oh my goodness the chem between these 2 actors is perfect! Now don’t go breaking my heart and making me cry later! I can’t afford any betrayal. Definitely my favorite episode. Didn’t even feel like it was 45 minutes.
Oh man, Zhang Ziyi can look so innocent, frail and serene in one scene then turn into a little fire ball and can look so fierce. I can finally understand why she is an international star. I don't know how, but she also managed to maintain her youthfulness and innocence during all these years.

Unspoken words with one direct look into the horse's eyes. The author created a wonderful character in Xiao Qi. He is very connected to human and animal spirits. He is strongest when he is connected to himself and the life around him.

很暖心的发现，有时偶尔被女演员偏显年纪的外貌出戏，但制作不怎么开磨皮和美颜，以化妆和打灯光为主，很是真实，故电影质感很强，即便有时很清楚的看到演员们较为深的皱纹，这必须给好评! 那些什么鲜肉流量之类滴P或磨得过度，根本就看不出演员的表情和神态！这部中老年爱情剧嗑嗑也不错~~

That horse riding scene is everything!! I’m so glad the writers make them ride side by side like equals instead of making Awu ride the same horse as him like dimsel in distress.

Oh my goodness the chem between these 2 actors is perfect! Now don’t go breaking my heart and making me cry later! I can’t afford any betrayal. Definitely my favorite episode. Didn’t even feel like it was 45 minutes.

So beautiful how the general is softly dominant and how the princess is delicate in every aspect of her character even when she whistling to pick a horse .. That was naturally sweet 🥰
It was heartwarming to see how both Wang Xuan and Xiao Qi have a love and appreciation for their beautiful horses. I was touched to see the connection that Xiao Qi had with his horse. Unspoken words with one direct look into the horse's eyes. The author created a wonderful character in Xiao Qi. He is very connected to human and animal spirits. He is strongest when he is connected to himself and the life around him.

The episode is amazing, It getting better everyday. The Xiao Qi has a good charisma and it fit well with Awu’s charater.
