LOL!....That face @ 6:45...."How much longer is this going to take?/Are you finished yet?/Are we there yet?/Man I'm just ready to go surf already?/Either give me a sanding block or let me outta here" face...LOLZZZ!
Hi, many foam blanks come with concaves or rolled rails, if the surface is not flat you will not be able to cut a straight 90º rail when doing the outline. If its not straight it will turn into a bad, uneven rail. Usually cheap jigsaws dont cut straight and the blade bends a lot with that thickness. Im pretty sure thats not his shaping bay so he is borrowing the tools and using what he got. When you do a lot of boards cutting with the hand saw it is easy, fast and accurate. You develop a technique. Just watch any master shaper with years of experience. Some shaper do like the jigsaw, some like the hand saw, others like a router or skilsaw, what do you like?

@@olafhenke5654 IVE3 BEEN SHAPING SINCE 1966 AND A HAND SAW IS THE ONLY WAY AS YOU CAN DRAW OUT YOUR CUT HOLDING THE SAW PRETTY HORIZONTAL.
