Thank you for sharing, Mario! I've released the remastered version of this piece on my Minecraft album: fanlink.to/minecraft One of my favorites from the soundtrack, glad to finally cover it! I literally just cried my eyes out to the sound of this. My best friend Anthony showed me Minecraft. We had so many good times i cant remember when we played survival first but it was magical. He sold his old Xbox and i wish i bought it. When we last played together it was irl splitscreen on his tv and we used to tell each other how “one day we will meet noch and make mods” one time he said “When i die i want you to have all my things so you can remember all the good times we spent together” and in that moment i cried. Last time we spoke was 3 years ago and i miss him. Anthony if you see this i love you bro
At first, I was confused why this song was called “Mice on Venus”. It just seemed like such a random name for such a beautiful song. However, I stumbled across a comment on a certain video explaining that: If you really think about it, a mice wandering around an unknown planet. It’s sort of like us, the player, we wander though this new world we spawned in, quickly learning ways to adapt to this new world, or something like that, I’m not too good at explaining things.
I love how nobody really listens to the music when they are playing but can instantly get flashbacks and nostalgia from one listen.... oh times were fun
That's not true at all for me, I played the game with the music as loud as possible....man I wish I could just lose all my memories so that I could experience it all over again
"Mice On Venus" is the song that played when my minecraft dog died Yesterday I went on that world and his memorial/grave was right were I left it With my other dog to it's right Still sitting to the right of a beautiful red flower It was called a rose.
I remember the rose :( I had a dog die once in a mine. It was nearly a newborn, it was glitching because of bugs. Once it grew up, it teleported to me. I was turning a corner on a rivine, and the dog was taking forever to get to me, so I kept checking. I accidentally pushed her off the edge when I checked again... I made a nice grave for her at the bottom of the rivine. I was so upset.
Ah. Reminds me of the time where I built a wooden house with a lava moat. After loading back into my world to see that it caught fire I got so upset that I ended up flying through kilometers of jungle until I reached an extreme hills biome and settled there. Good ol' times.
I made a lava swimming pool in my tree house. Woke up from my bed surrounded by fire. I remember the fear, yet the fun I had trying to escape. I love you Minecraft!

Am I the only one who thinks Mice on Venus is the perfect song to describe growing up and leaving your childhood behind in a sad but somewhat upbeat way
This makes me nostalgic for when Minecraft was at its prime. I have to admit it, Minecraft is a good ass game. It only became a "joke" because of the flood of kids that started playing and making content on it.
Bro, Minecraft is almost at an all time high for monthly users right now. I guess it’s gotten a “cringey” reputation but like all kids it grows out of that into a better version
One day you'll tame your last dog. Fight your last zombie Build your last house Steal from your last villager Mine your last diamond And press exit game without even realising.
(While listening the high note) read this: Somewhere in your old minecraft world. Your memories built together with wood logs and planks to make, somewhat of a home. You make friends along the way. Companions... you tamed a pet wolf to go on adventures with. All To be forgotten... and All to be replayed once again, every, single time ❤
The first part of the song grips you tight and holds you like those core memories you made playing minecraft on the xbox. Just building, not knowing you were about to place your last block... The 2nd part on the other haaaaaand
First half: mice are floating away in the vast expanse of space. Watching the cosmos and starts fly by. One mouse turns around and looks out the window and sees the earth. Slowly shrinking. His only home. His one home. Away into the distance he goes. Leaving on a somber note- he will find a new life but at the cost of what? His old life? What may he find when he lands? Second half: the mice land on venus. A barren hellish landscape. Somehow they are able to make it work and experience the majesty of space. Lower gravity. Longer days and cool nights. They are exited for the future of space travel. Its likea magic to them. Many generations pass. More mice are getting sent to space. These ones made it to saturns rings. Those ones made it to neptune. Mice left and right all over the solar system. Exploring a new universe seen only by few. The experience is humbling to humans as the last humbling notes play, reminding us that space travel is eventual, but for now we rest.
When I was a kid playing MC, I called this piece of music "Snow Man" because I didn't know what its actual name is. I still agree with my feeling back then:after so many years: this song sounds like a pure, lonely, and carefree snowman slowly melts that his acorn smile grows deeper and deeper, and he thinks he will become happier every moment ever after... until he becomes a tiny pool of water and a dozen of wet acorns...
When im listening to this song, i remember how many hours i put into minecraft and the fun stuff that i've been doing in minecraft. Now its just a memory that we always remember. Minecraft will be at a special place in my heart. Thank you
I remember watching Stampy’s videos and getting obsessed with Minecraft. When I saw it was available on pocket edition I freaked out and immediately begged my parents to get it. The first thing I ever built was a dirt shack, the memory is still clear in my mind.. days of sitting on the couch next to my food on a tray just building whatever and listening to the Minecraft music. I remember when I started playing with my friend and how we would always scramble to go get on Minecraft and build underwater bases, houses, anything that came to mind. We bonded with Minecraft and it’s still something we play together today :) I remember always freaking out when I saw diamonds or spending hours in the mines or crying when my pet dog died. Thanks Mojang for the best memories possible and creating my comfort game ❤still playing after about 9 years. Oh how I remember it like yesterday
I remember a world I made a few years ago. It's a creative flat world. I built a house for myself, and everyone who came over built a house too. I couldn't and can't make it multiplayer (I still have it). All the good memories of looking at their amazing builds. Discovering new ways to build. Playing at my friend's house in 4 player split screen. And nearly shitting myself during the night. Fighting the ender dragon with my friends online, and then creating a big house with them. Now I play minecraft regulary with my best friend. It's usually hypixel but the only thing that matters that we are having fun. And who knows, maybe I'm making even more beautiful memories, when I'm just having fun.
I wish I could go back to being 13 and playing this game with my friends forever building cities, riding roller coasters, mining in our caves, fighting in our minigames.... being... happy... Everything changes and while there are a lot of things I have now that I didn't then that I'm glad to have part of me wants to go back to when it was all simple... when my worries were just wether or not I had remembered my pickaxe before going mining, if that sound I heard was a creeper or my parrot, if I had enough revives for that next Pokémon gym and if I'd studied for that test on Tuesday.. "I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old times before they're over..." - Micheal from the office "It's not that we didn't know what we had, it's just we... never thought we'd loses it.." - some guy off UA-cam I saw once
I remember when i discovered Minecraft. I played it with my brother in my dad's tablet. We built houses and we were so afraid of the night. Then, We were playing on the Ps3. I remember we built a giant prison and filled it up with mobs, but we were annoyed that the mobs kept disappearing (we didn't know that mobs despawned at the time). Now here we are today. Kids instead of enjoying games like this they play junk that makes no sense and doesn't even teach anything. Some people say that the old Minecraft was better than the today's, but i think it's good or even better. It's just nostalgia that is screaming to us to go back.
remember the when the first time u play minecraft u just dont know what to do or if u dont even play minecraft u feel something u never felt before. thats what make Minecraft and C418 music so good
I used to play a lot of Minecraft with my friends from school, those were one of the happiest moments in my life. Minecraft will always have a special place in my heart.
I never got the experiences that everyone says... I just play alone in my xbox 360 for hours losing my mind with the possibilities that the game gave me just me and the world my brother like 20 years old play with me i remember my family saying "Stop that music is depressing" well mom... wherever you are you're right :')
My first night was like: AAHHH, THIS THE CREEPIEST GAMEEEE!!!!!!!! Then i digged down for a bit and waited till night ends. After, I built a dirt-cobble-wooden house and found a village. . . I like lost that village and stuff . It was so nice
How I think this whole song is about: basically you spawn in your minecraft world and discovered you can do many things here including mining, crafting, surviving etc. Later you found a snowy biome where it starts snowing( imagine that day was Christmas) you found a snowy village and first learned to trade. One day you were hunting mobs when you met it again... the creeper. U fought it and it ended up blowing up. Finally you realised that your friend wanted to play minecraft as well so you let him in your world, and that’s all I can think of...
Nostalgia… 😞 Os tempos eram tão bons.. Você não tinha que se preocupar com nada e só jogava minecraft o dia inteiro nunca iremos nos esquecer de 2016… 🤍
I remember the time I played Minecraft for the first time in 2012 on my cousin brother's iPad because I didn't own it yet. I was in creative and I built a large museum type structure. I couldn't play everyday so I told him to keep building more of it. He sent me videos through gmail about how it looked. Then one day he came to my house and said that he accidentally burnt it as it was made of wool. I was so sad about that so I begged my parents to buy me a copy. Best years of my life.
this song reminds me when we all went into *that* one tutorial map, rejoined and gone into creative. Those were the days when we all ran to go play minecraft after school. When we first woke up, went right onto our ps3's and xbox 360's. Christmas day, after we opened up presents we ran to our rooms to play minecraft to play the christmas update. We all remember when the simplier times were the funnest. Back to the times when you were building the best things you could. You were online with friends and they liked to play it too. You guys would always go on and play after school. It was the best of times. Then update 1.9 came out. The update that nearly ruined combat all together. Then they added alot of stuff. Shulkers, colored beds, and even crossbows. We were all confused about what to do in it, where to go in it. We were all waiting for something cool, like maybe sharks. Then bees came around. The bees are kind of in the middle. They arent the worst but they dont really have a meaning in minecraft. These songs make us want to play minecraft. and heck i'ma play it.
This gives me a feeling of nostalgia, hope, bittersweetness and melancholy. I have no idea how c418 does it, but he was the absolute best possible choice for composing the music of Minecraft. 🥲
Thank you Minecraft for giving me nostalgia and giving me friends that are still with me to this day. Thank you from everything. I played you in the summer night of 2011-2012 and stayed up watch Minecraft Videos. Those were the memories that stick with me the most. I was so carefree and I built the most beautiful and imaginative houses. Thank you. Your sound track made everything better. -Thank you
This is my favorite minecraft song of all time EVER, but it's also my worst memory. The old days of minecraft. This was the song that played after me and 2 other friends had built a castle that took about a year and a half to finish on survival and we were really proud of it. 2 of us went out to get more supplies one day which lasted about 3 minecraft days while 1 stayed behind. We ended up finding diamonds and that was a big deal back in 2012 so we rushed home so we didn't die and lose it. When we came back tho, our castle was blown up by a griefer who actually was the friend that stayed behind. We were so pissed that we both were going to kill him but he had a diamond sword and armour and killed us both. He took all our shit and just laughed. On top of that, since he was the one who created the world he took off trust players so we couldn't rebuild it if we wanted to. Out of NOWHERE he just destroyed our work. With that being said, Louis if you ever read this I still hate you for that and I still sont know why u did it. We were 10 man, was it because we were girls? You thought it was funny? Fuck you Louis. Sorry for the story, this song got me emotional.
these songs are beautful, yes, of course. but the fact that everybody gets emotional over them, is simply not because of the song, but the memories you got, while these songs were playing. (:(
At 0:22 it reminds me of living in my grandmothers house with my mom and while mom goes to work and my brother goes to school I sit down and play minecraft for hours on end. Never worrying about school as I didn’t start school yet. And this song always played on my PS3. Love it

The experience is humbling to humans as the last humbling notes play, reminding us that space travel is eventual, but for now we rest.
this is so beautifully accurate
I think it has a deeper meaning than Space Travel 😐
Nights in venus are actually hot but its still nice
this song make my cry, the nostalgia, the melody, this is... beautiful
Bro, por que tu comentario no es el más popular? 😢
This was the first music i ever heard of minecraft and i'm glad it was this one
I love this , Thx for the great work making this sounds so good and nostalgic. :)
When im listening to this song, i remember how many hours i put into minecraft and the fun stuff that i've been doing in minecraft. Now its just a memory that we always remember. Minecraft will be at a special place in my heart. Thank you
“Good night!”
“See you tomorrow!”

Never know what could happen, that's whats so sad about life.
1:50 Hit Different ; ‘ )
for those years which had past, the good old memories.
guys, we've been there.
We all have 😢
I’m not crying, you are!
It's always the most simple melodies that hit the hardest.
I have never played Minecraft but this song makes me cry every time I listen it and I don't know why.
Never too late mate
@@Waddles1 Until you realise
This is probably my favorite song from Minecraft. Subwoofers lullaby and Sweden are also amazing but this one means the most to me
I wish I could go back to being 13 and playing this game with my friends forever building cities, riding roller coasters, mining in our caves, fighting in our minigames.... being...
"I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old times before they're over..." - Micheal from the office
"It's not that we didn't know what we had, it's just we... never thought we'd loses it.." - some guy off UA-cam I saw once
Si
I remember when i discovered Minecraft.
I played it with my brother in my dad's tablet.
We built houses and we were so afraid of the night.
Then, We were playing on the Ps3.
I remember we built a giant prison and filled it up with mobs, but we were annoyed that the mobs kept disappearing (we didn't know that mobs despawned at the time).
Now here we are today.
Kids instead of enjoying games like this they play junk that makes no sense and doesn't even teach anything.
Some people say that the old Minecraft was better than the today's, but i think it's good or even better. It's just nostalgia that is screaming to us to go back.
so true 🤣😢😭😭😭😭
I played this for my grandma with demesia. she said it was the most beautiful thing she had ever heard
remember the when the first time u play minecraft u just dont know what to do or if u dont even play minecraft u feel something u never felt before. thats what make Minecraft and C418 music so good
0:25 that note hits hard 😥
I learned how to play just for that part
I used to play a lot of Minecraft with my friends from school, those were one of the happiest moments in my life. Minecraft will always have a special place in my heart.
This song kinda makes me remember the times when you know you failed at something and you feel sad yet hopeful
This song is amazing
My favorite out of the OST.
This is your daily dose of nostalgia
First half: minecraft in its grave stone
Second: 2019 minecrafts resurection
This is my favourite song in the game
I never got the experiences that everyone says...
I just play alone in my xbox 360 for hours
losing my mind with the possibilities that the game gave me
just me and the world
my brother like 20 years old
play with me
i remember my family saying
"Stop that music is depressing"
well mom...
wherever you are
you're right
:')
I'm sorry for your loss(if your mum has passed away)
i litteraly cant stop crying.
i don’t know if you still play
but i do. let’s make a world
This made me shed a tear I just thought about my friends closed realm and how we did everything together we beat mine craft
I want that back.
Dad: WHY ARE YOU CRYING SO FUCKING LOUD
Me: Memories
Dad: you've got a point
Minecraft songs show happiness, peace and sorrow at the same time
My childhood...
im so glad my grandma still got a ps3, i cant live without playing in creative with a flat world. making stuff with this music and just feeling life
Ahh remembered my first night in minecraft...
Skeleton shoots me from behind then I turn back creeper comes and explodes in my face :')
As much as I dislike Minecraft nowadays this gives me chills while listening to it.
Some of the new music in the update that came out today is actually really good. Kinda reminiscent of the old ones.
Why do you dislike it?
Go to hell
screw you. Minecraft is and forever will be the best video game.
crying rn, damn brother this shit hits hard fr fr
I remember the time I played Minecraft for the first time in 2012 on my cousin brother's iPad because I didn't own it yet. I was in creative and I built a large museum type structure. I couldn't play everyday so I told him to keep building more of it. He sent me videos through gmail about how it looked. Then one day he came to my house and said that he accidentally burnt it as it was made of wool. I was so sad about that so I begged my parents to buy me a copy. Best years of my life.
this song makes me cry every single time that i play that
this song reminds me when we all went into *that* one tutorial map, rejoined and gone into creative.
Balling my eyes out from the nostalgia.
This gives me a feeling of nostalgia, hope, bittersweetness and melancholy. I have no idea how c418 does it, but he was the absolute best possible choice for composing the music of Minecraft. 🥲
You dont realise how precious a moment is until it’s a memory
1:55 made me cry in a second
Haha I’m glad I’m not alone
Minecraft soundtracks brings back so many good old times
5 or 6 months since Technoblade passed and yet it still hits hard when this plays.
Ahh the sweet yet bitter kick of nostalgia and childhood memories those were the days…
these songs are beautful, yes, of course. but the fact that everybody gets emotional over them, is simply not because of the song, but the memories you got, while these songs were playing. (:(
At 0:22 it reminds me of living in my grandmothers house with my mom and while mom goes to work and my brother goes to school I sit down and play minecraft for hours on end. Never worrying about school as I didn’t start school yet.
And this song always played on my PS3.
Love it
1:33 just saving it for myself
Finally something that is worth learning...
