Not only great playing, but the way you talked us through everything so thoroughly, starting with the tuning scheme... ...Chef's Kiss!!!...The students were ready and the Master appeared, verbally breaking down the Key-Signature and Progression-Type. We sit at no less than the Buddha's feet!
Yes!!! Riffs and Rhythm!!! So many people focus on solos as being the coolest or most difficult part of songs, while awesome and complicated rhythm sections are ignored.
I can play the who solo to this song (thanks to chris), I wouldn't even know where to start on the rhythm sections. At first I thought exactly what you mentioned. I'm quickly realizing that's not always true.
@@Knoxvillemoto I've been playing 20 years and about to use this video to learn this song. I can tell what you're saying is very true, the solo seems easier to learn than the rhythm, wish me luck!
I cannot believe how you only have 180k subscribers. . I've watching you play for years. Outstanding teacher and player. One of the best out there. Amazing
I like this format. Truth is, the songs you do take a certain skill level to play. Anyone at that level, shouldn’t need more than a visual of the tab and seeing you play it.
By far the best guitar teacher on youtube..I recommend doing more of these type of full song lessons...it might take a bit more work, but I would pay for full song lessons because they're so good and accurate.
I’m used to playing the part at 1:23 on the high C string in Drop C rather than the string below it and frankly I like this version better. I’m gonna play it like that from now on 👍🏻
Bro the amazing picking sound with no pick. Epic! 😂 It sounds so heavy 🤟 by the way you helped me learn cliffs of Dover when no one else could teach me. You are so fucking badass! 🤟😎 Will never forget you. Maybe I'll pass those skills on someday too. Though I don't think I can finger pick that good. I do know you let your nails grow to achieve that though and that's smart 👌
@@jcdenton616 Make a "pinch" as if you're holding a pen. Drag your nail across the strings. Option b, rest fingertips on strings, clinch your fist and pluck every strings (high e usually left out). What exactly is absurdly difficult about this? Doing it on my Charvel as we speak.
Hey man great cover. I am trying to get this song down to do my own cover but I have an issue getting a good tone. What amp settings / distortion settings did you use to get this tone? It sounds pretty darn good.

More of these 🤘🤘

Agreed i like playing both
Too true
FK yea dude, the rhythm guitar sound is the most badass sound in an entire song IMO

Dan donnegan is such a creative rhythm guitarist. Don’t really appreciate it till you pay attention to all the little stuff
Yes! This is a brilliant idea :D
I’m used to playing the part at 1:23 on the high C string in Drop C rather than the string below it and frankly I like this version better. I’m gonna play it like that from now on 👍🏻
Nice one. I was learning solo in standard tuning and my brains exploded. Noe it makes more sense
I'm liking this! So clean! A++
Thanks for this! Great playing

Yeah I love these! For more complicated rhythm videos like red hot chilis or something I'd love some in depth detail about what you do too!

Best stricken cover ever
Super tight, this was awesome
Dude, that's awesome!
I did actually bought a Jackson because of this CHANNEL :) (and some research naturally)
Dude super awesome!!!!
That was a fun one!
I love this guy, been following for a couple of years now and learned a lot. Can you also make a video on Darkest Hour - Deliver Us solo PLEASE :D
Waw, nicely done !
Still blows my mind that this guy doesn’t use a guitar pick
! Im gonna try that. Real interested in different picking sounds....ever try brass?
Brooo
why? Have you strum a guitar ever? It's not hard at all to strum chords on the beat with just finger..
I hope this is a joke
