BROTHER I JUST DID MY TRUCK AND BOUGHT THE EXACT SAME RADIO WITH APPLE PLAY AND ANDROID. AND ITS BASICALLY THE SAME WIRES. I COPY YOU AND GROUNDED THE GREEN WIRE SO I CAN PLAY MOVIES AS I PLEASE. YOUR VIDEO HELPED ME A LOT. DIDN'T DO THE SUBS THO JUST THE STERIO SET UP THE SAME.

I don’t think Apple car play has capabilities to play videos. Check out my other vid that I did in order to mirror my phone.

Good stuff braddah! Did you use an RCA splitter at the at head unit? Since the sub is mono, shouldn't it work without the splitter? Also, how's the deck she go? Does screen mirroring work good? Sorry for the 100 questions. Mahalo!
Thanks for watching 🤙. Yeah I did use a splitter and I don’t know why lol it should work but I just never like leave one rca disconnected... 🤷♂️. But the deck is ok, its supposed to mirror android. I had to run a hdmi to rca converter to mirror my iPhone. ua-cam.com/video/BfPDX3yc_g4/v-deo.html I guess for $180 it’s ok but if I were to do it again, I would get one with apple car play.

Great video. How do I play Netflix and Hulu from my phone? Do I use a HDMI to RCA Converter, 1080p HDMI to AV 3RCA CVBs Composite Video Audio Converter Adapter? Also, is jvc mirroring app any good?
Don’t know about jvc mirroring app. I used a hdmi iPhone adapter connected to a hdmi to av (3rca) because that’s what coming out of the deck. Some apps may block the mirroring function on your phone but I think i was able to watch Netflix

Do the mounting brackets that go in the side of the din are the ones that come with the dash or they are different ones?

Hey man don’t really know much but the wiring harness on my truck is cut Like I had somebody work on it for me and they couldn’t get it and when I went to see what they did they cut to the factory harness instead of using the adapter I bought and I don’t know what to do now😪
You’re going to need the wiring diagram for your truck and match those wires straight to your deck’s wiring harness. It sucks when people cut factory harnesses but it’s not the end of the world. 🤙
Does that bezel match with your dashboard interior? If it does, what color is it?
It’s black. It’s not the same as the stock one but it looks fine to me
im having problems with my radio the same one too. I installed everything ran everything tucked everything but no bass everything is connected good i just don't know why is there no bass producing. i have a 500 watt amp and two other amps i just have one to like test it but no punch i should have mentioned this earlier but i have one 12 cerwin vegas and there's no punch i might have to bridge or check my ground someone please help me.

Yup. You can fit double dins. The shallow ones like mine don’t need mods to the brackets behind
When hooking up the amp, did you connect the amp remote wire to the blue power control/antenna control wire on the back of the stereo?

I got single din and I just tried changing mine to a double din but it won’t fit any way you can help me bro
If the double din is too deep, you gotta remove the bracket in the dash

@@brittletipple4672 you might need the cage from a 03 and up. That’s why I went with the shallow double din. No cutting

Doesn't have to, but mine is. That way the sub crossover on the deck controls the amp.
Where did you connect the rca cables to don’t look like the went to the radio.
The sub output was a single wire with rca jacks

If you use the adapter harness, there’s actually an open wire labeled remote or power antenna. Usually a blue wire as well

Hey bro, how has that stereo been holding up? I've been thinking about getting that same one for my old ram but have been hearing some people having issues with it.
I haven’t had any issues so far and I use it every day. Can’t go wrong for the price. Just curious, what kind of issues are people having?
@@CheeHooGarage I was reading some people saying that it freezes up for minutes at a time sometimes and can be sluggish to the touch and stuff. I mean I know at that price point it's hard to go wrong.
@@anthonybarclay2537 I haven’t ran into that problem. Maybe my biggest complaint would be that the Bluetooth connection gets jumpy if my phone is a couple steps away from the truck. Thanks for the info
