      I'm on my third month and I'm starting JavaScript framework this week called React then I apply.
      It's been 2 months and 16 days in and I never had any encounter with Web development before. Just two months ago when I hit my very lowest and started searching what I can do and came across this Channel❤️👊.
      I put 12 hours and more every day and rest only on Sundays, I literally do that and it could be different with you depending on how fast you can grasp in short space...
      Good luck let's do it

    • @nelakhenoplatana3877
      @nelakhenoplatana3877 Рік тому +2

      How I did it.
      First week on HTML, if you put less than 8 hours I believe it might be more like 2 weeks.
      Next I did CSS, it's a bit challenging and it took me 2 weeks I believe it could've taken me longer if I wasn't putting those heavy hours.
      And did Bootstrap and with the hours I put it would also take you a week or less it actually took me 3 days. It's the easiest of them all cause it's build based on HTML and CSS .
      Did a bit of GitHub learning but decided to pause it and focused on JavaScript, JavaScript is the main and it takes 70% alone...
      While learning all these I keep on coming to search mock interviews just to train my interview ability.
      So it's very possible but you will have to ignore everything around you like a mad person cause normally is 6 months and up so to fall under those that get to know almost enough for a junior position in 3 months I believe it takes learning it extraordinary ❤️👊

    Thanks for sharing brother man. Just a little something I think might help your viewers which is something I learnt from recruiters and elsewhere on the net. The amount applicants you see in a listing on linkedin isn't an accurate depiction of the amount of people who applied, a lot of those numbers come from people just clicking the link to view the job so they encourage us to still apply even when it seems that amount is high, might just be that only 1 out of the 1 million applied haha.

    Kat, how do we/when do we send our portfolio website?

    • @katlegodeveloper
      @katlegodeveloper  Рік тому +2

      It depends on the company, if they want to see your portfolio, they will have an input field on the application form to fill it with a link to your portfolio website. Also they might as you to do so after you have applied via email or after an interview (All these are the situations I had to provide a link to my portfolio)

    Hi, this comment is probably late but I wanted to ask since you are a self taught developer, do companies still consider you even though the requirements say maybe a bachelor or something? I just get discouraged as soon as I see that

    • @katlegodeveloper
      @katlegodeveloper  Рік тому +1

      Honestly yes there are some companies that still consider you even if you don't have a degree (Even if it's a requirement).
      Even my first job the job post said "Diploma in IT or Related Qualification" something along those lines but I applied anyway. You never know when your CV is gonna fall in the right hands!

    Hi Katlego, Thanks for another video of great content... Please can you advice stack that great and have more opportunities for Remote Front-end Developer.. Should I invest on Angular first or React. Should one still focus on JavaScript or give more time to Typescript.. What your personal suggestion on this topics.

    • @katlegodeveloper
      @katlegodeveloper  Рік тому

      Angular is still used by many countries in South Africa. But even if you learn react, companies will still consider you because it will be easier to learn other frameworks once you understand one.
      I would recommend you also learn TypeScript because Angular uses it!
