As a Russian player, I can say that Forager is good enough for its cost. When it arrived with Limansk I'm June 2021 it was best container for Exoskeleton, cuz The Hive was soooo expensive, and one serum was around 400k cost. But now, I think, Forager is only "Step to Hive"
Also on rebalancing, Forager is going to be nerfed by decreasing protection from 70 to 60, like other compact containers and KZS-5.

so you would suggest the forager more than the cocoon?
imo forager is literally 100% better because it requires just a little more batteries but you get an extra artifact which is already a lot better even though it has 10% less inner protection and effectiveness and also -2 radiation

is there a different way to get the anomalous batteries than airdrops? i tried playing the whole day and kept getting killed
If your havibg trouble, best way is to buy them off market im sure somone can sell u a big one for like 1.3 mil

Can't afford it and the grind north of Rostok is too much.
Even if I could get the artifacts to make it worthwhile, which are also too rare and expensive.
