- Thank you to everyone who took part in our very first channel giveaway. This week we announce the winner.
Before that we stay a few nights at an epic park up in the Yorkshire Dales where we discover old ruins associated with the lead smelting industry and then spend a relaxing few days at Waterloo Farm near to Market Harborough, a spot that we think Daz of Urban Motorhome would love. We walk through a spooky tunnel before finally ending up back at Dibles near to Southampton.
This is episode 114 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

Congratulations to the winner of the mud daddy. Useful bits of kit especially in this weather! Although it’s great to be blessed with sunshine this morning! I hope Sue didn’t run through that tunnel? I don’t think Fudge was impressed nor would’ve wanted to repeat the experience! A campsite with water on the pitch and a tea room ?! What a bargain!!Rother Valley country park is v near to where a friend of ours lives so we’ve been around there several times👍💕 Didn’t know/can’t recall the campsite though! Lovely to be able to get out all together. Archie is a real 🌟. Take care & safe travels! Xx

Thanks Anna. You’re right about Fudge she wasn’t impressed 😅 Sue did run through the tunnel, but she sensibly too her headtorch. Waleswood is the name of the campsite just in case you need it when visiting friends. Happy travels. 🙏🤗🚌❤️

You always manage to show some amazing scenery and interesting places, those ruins looked great and, scary as that tunnel was, I dont think we would've been able to help ourselves but go in!
The Monsal Trail in the Peak District is a good one for long walks with a few long tunnels, and they are mostly lit up which helps.

Definitely recommend it. We haven’t done much of that area and even though the weather wasn’t great the area was lovely with loads of walking. 🙏🤗❤️🚌

Whereabouts was that in the Yorkshire Dales ? Von was trying to guess, and thought it might be around Wharfedale ??
It was Swaledale. Nearest village was Kearton if that means anything to Von. Was the perfect spot for us. Hardly saw anyone other than the farmer on his quad bike twice a day. 🤗🚌❤️
