Having said that, I think it would be amazing if you, other modders/creative types, and some content creators, all worked cumulatively to create a more universal mod; one that takes the best of each without too much conflict. Actually the only thing that missed to D2R remodded was partying with a bro to min max the fun. And now that dream come true. For sure it will also provide a huge bump of life for this amazing game. ZeroTier one supported 25 players on a network n better options than radmin VPN because it used worldwide. Radmin only good at Russia territories. U gonna get lag on the westside because I've tested on regular D2 with PD2 mod self installed with their installer.
Last I heard, those devs said it wouldn't ever happen, but that was long before this was announced. The seemingly gray area of legality here leaves it up to question if they'd pick it up. I'd love to see it, though! PD2 seems fun as hell.

It’s code from the previous version forked in. Technically not legal since it’s a violation of tos but technically not illegal either provided you have old version ✅

if they tamper the code or somen code injections may be sued, yes. IlAs fas as I read @Bonesy will use an old Patch, which may be the backdoor needed to legally enable it. I am sure Blizz will sue, though :) Hope Bonesy has some hidden financial powers to fight it.

@@naudangyeu as far as I know PD2 only uses that Patch_D2.MPQ, if u can apply that into D2R then u get PD2 on D2R.
Finally we can play Community Modded Multiplayer Seasonal changes.

there's a lot of work involved with hardcoding many of the features but it "should" be doable.
another thing is running a secure server list.

Where ever you store them just back them up it’s usually in your game folder

you can move the Documents folder to another disk. Or use "hardlink"

Also a couple of people had already had this on the initial release of d2r but they were scared away by blizzard if I recall.
