Many younger guys confuse a loud exhaust for a great sounding exhaust. Volume and tone quality are separate. To each their own but the S55 sounds bad and opening it up makes it worse. LOVE the content brother, just pray the infusion of money to the channel doesn’t take it from a diamond grass roots channel to an advertisement and “everything new” paid for platform. Ricky is a gem and I know the industry has been dying to pollute the pure greatness. ESS E90 M3 is my favorite video to date with the vast majority of the rest of your video catalog right behind. A breath of fresh air in a sea of the same material over and over only changed if something new comes out.

E92 was the best sounding.
I think it siunds excellent. The E46 M3 was raspy, don't recall everyone saying it was a raspy mess.
Obviously it's twin turboed it's not gonna sound like a na engine.

Uhhhh not Armytrix....they just make super loud exhausts rather than nice sounding ones imo. But fair play.
Armytrix does have incredible sounding exhausts for certain cars (not just loud noise but really amazing tone and pitch) But this system sounds bad with this engine

@@GB93M I have been in a straight piped R8 and E92 M3, both of which sounded very Good. Some sound Good, some don't work so well. An S55 never started off sounding good and this just amplifies that sound. So No, not a Corsa but keep scrolling through the comments, you'll need to write that many more times.

I agree, the car is awesome but this exhaust system is a step too far in volume and you lose the character and tone. It's a shame, maybe with the cats put back in or a centre resonator it would be better in my opinion.

I don't think Armytrix is the problem here. It's the S55 6 cylinder turbo engine, it just doesn't sound good. I've heard Armytrix exhausts on a number of different V8s and 4 cylinder cars, they all sounded much nicer than this.

@@GG-jn1nh something has gone wrong. It sounds terrible and there's no dyno setup for it all so major no no to new car. If you want to use a piggy back tune then something like bluefin setup on dyno would be much better/safer

100% would Benefit from a live map. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a boost spike from fitting the downpipes. Not the best thing for your turbos.

I have a M performance exhaust with carbon tips on my competition M3 and it sounds 100 times better than this
For M3/M4 M performance exhaust are the best and nothing else comes close IMO
I honestly think this car stock is just a new sound we will ah e to get use to as times goes by, no new exhaust can make it sounds like older m3’s. I kinda like the akrapovic are better. I’m still rocking stock on my F82, May fi akrapovic soon

SuperArd666 yeah they cost more than a m performance. A matter a fact aren’t the Armytrix just as or almost the same, crazy money for not that much of a diff sound. Think I may follow my boy and tie the valves open as he did on his M6.

Lovely car and a lovely exhaust but not combined sounds like a raspy E46 M3 be sure to get the map tweaked as your fueling will be out, really need some back pressure did the same on my E55 AMG sounded horrible so put an X pipe in restored loss power good video overall .

Like all the others say... unfortunately it sounds pretty bad!!! Shame. I have e90m3 4.0ltr v8 with Eisenmann race rear section and man it sounds good. Personal opinion though I guess. I like the deeper growl rather that tin can🤷🏻♂️

Congrats. Not my cup of tea personally, it's definitely much nicer than stock but still the S55 just doesn't sound good. I wish BMW could have used a V8 like the E92 or the new M5.

@@audirs142 Future hybrids will help keep the emissions down. Also for car manufacturers, it's the overall fleet emissions that count, not the emissions per model. So they can have some V8s (or V8 hybrid) models, so long as they also have some really efficient models to balance out the fleet emissions. Anyway we know AMG, BMW M, etc are working on V8 Hybrid powertrains.
Man, this is my fave channel, always enjoy the content and was gassed when you got the M4, honestly tho the stock sound was so much nicer. I think maybe just a decat and back box delete would have suited it better? Either way keep it coming Ricky. 👍🏽

Car has to be mapped since your car has particulate filters, without mapping it will go into limp mode and melt spark plugs eventually.

Not a fan of Armytrix. They are just cheap chinese made exhausts with very little R&D that make sales through using social media influencers.
Jolinator they have some newer titanium exhausts that are decent, not good but decent. Price is insane though. 7-8k lol
