Human trafficking is a growing epidemic in our nation and throughout the world; some of our communities are no exception. This story takes you Behind the Badge of CHP Officer Kerri Rivas, assigned to the LA Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, and her personal mission to make a difference in her community.

I'm a sex trafficking survivor, and now I'm studying to be an investigator, with an emphasis on the cyber aspect of human trafficking. I've always been gifted in computer sciences, and now I have a clear direction I'm heading in. Wish me luck!

Good for her...But CHP has very little impact on human trafficking. That job is handled mostly by federal agencies such as FBI and HSI....
