I love this question - this is essentially a slightly more advanced and timed version of Outfoxed. And it depends on your audience. If you're playing with a 4-7 year old I would hands down pick Outfoxed. But if you want to play with adults or older kids they're going to find Outfoxed a bit boring and prefer this. I'm coming out with a list of whodunnit games in the next couple of months, there are tons of good options out there. The trickiest part of 5-Min Mystery is that it's timed. It's not a big deal with a bigger group but if you're playing 2 player it can be a bit intense. I love this game but we enjoy it most with at least 3 or 4 players. Hope this is helpful! It's a really good game!
@@GameLikeAMother thanks! I just ordered 5 minute mystery and am excited to play it. I am looking forward to your whodunnit list too. I am sure I will find some new games to pick up from that list! Thanks again- this is the 4th game I bought after watching your reviews (outfoxed, hoot owl hoot and Cauldron Quest being the others)
Awesome to hear! You’re getting some excellent games. So glad my videos have been helpful!! And yeah, I LOVE whodunnit games so working on that list has been a lot of fun 😁
Which cards? For the symbols on the scene card you just flip it over and you can see if it matches the codex. For the clue tiles you flip them over and line them up next to the correct color on the selected culprit and if it matches then the culprit has that trait. And for the suspect cards you’re checking for those traits you have to look very very carefully. Sometimes the item is very small. Hope this helps!
Super great family game!
Agreed! We're big fans!
This sounds great, thank you. You give the most wonderful reviews.
Thank you! It’s easy when the game is such a good one. We really love this one ❤️
Another great review. I think my comment got deleted but this game seems like a more complicated version of outfoxed. Which one do you like better?

Nice explanation!
Thanks!
how do you know the cards match
