Dear Nikki, an old guy from Germany watches with great joy your videos. Since the "rescue" of camper I have watched all your videos. You are such a kind Lady. Greetings to your wonderful family. All the love from Germany❤❤❤
Hey Nikki, Can I give you some advice as an expert on offroad power setups? Plug your refrigerator and the Jackory power unit into separate 12-volt supplies from the truck during the day then plug the refrigerator into the Jackory at night, when you run the refrigerator off the Jackory while it's charging you are bypassing most of the power straight to the refrigerator and the Jackory will not get a full charge. Brad from Trail Recon had this same setup, his power station would not charge fully, I suggested he do this and it fixed the problem. Love the truck layout by the way.
Awesome video as always Nikki, Camper and R.V. Camper and R.V. are both the stars of the show. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Rodney & Camper looking so handsome and healthy!!!❤ interesting build. My 78 Ford Econoline van conversion was designed by my mom and built by stepdad. The kingsize bed folded down from a couch with a table insert. Custom heavy duty foam cushions upolstered in a heavy grey/ white tweed design. The most comfortable bed I've slept on ever!!!❤I had a fridge powered by block of ice. Microwave, sink with water pump, coleman porta potty. I just paid $1.00 a shower at trailer/ rv parks. Back in my day they were like 7 to 12 bucks a night to hook up. I had 110 hook up running from a plug under back bumper. I had full kitchen area and a hot plate. I used a crock pot a lot! Coffee pot, etc. I didn't have cell phone or solar power generators. I used trucker fans and I plugged them into battery jump starters! Kept me and the cat cool. Plus I had an ac that fit in passenger window at night while we camped in really hot states. I could stand cuz we had the fiberglass roof extention.... I lived and traveled in my van for 10 years!!!❤ liked this video a lot!
I owe you one Nikki. I got one of those mini Jackery after watching your video and I got it right before hurricane Milton hit Florida. It kept us cool every night by powering our usb powered fan!! Thanks so much for sharing that product! 🥰😘
My wife and i just tried truck bed camping and it was awesome. FYI if your topper door doesn’t lock automatically like ours there is a cool trick to be able to lock from inside using pvc pipe on each side to keep it from being opened from outside.
kent rollins has a good cowboy coffee video, basically you boil your coffee grounds for 5-10 minutes and then when you remove it from the heat you pour in a little cool water, this causes the grounds to sink to the bottom and it makes some really smooth coffee… also it turns out a bit stronger.
I think a pop up canopy with sides may help with "cooking in the elements" issue. Plus you'll want to sit outside & not get soaked in a storm. Hugs to Camper & Rodney ❤
Second this they have some orettt sweet power canopies you can add to off-road rigs now if it’s something height and weight is problem. Being a lone female highly recommend
@@triplehfarmsllc7348 I was going to suggest a custom made tent until I watched the video again. A tent to enclose the cooking area seems impractical. As Nikki travels western and south western states that are desert and temperate deserts, I lived in Colorado for 8 years of my childhood. I think a canopy is a better idea. Rain is very rare in Colorado.
Nikki, thank you for your videos. They give me so much peace to watch. You’re inspiring made to do the same. I love outdoor beauty as much as you express it.
Just a FYI... for the slippery center console, I cut a piece of floor carpet large enough to hang over the side and tucked in between the seat and console.. easy to remove if I need access to it.. and my boy doesn't dig his nails if he's standing on it.. and a tent that you can back the truck into so you have a place to sit for those not so sunny days.. makes the truck camping a little more enjoyable.. a pass through window from front to back is also nice..
We use a small propane Blackstone grill to cook everything. One side is flat top and the other half is grill top so we can even use pots on it. It is a dream for everything from pancakes, eggs, burgers, veggies. It's pretty efficient, compact and cools pretty quickly for packing
Hi Nikki, I just wanted to tell you that when you set up your Colman stove, that the side wind screens on it get attached to the side in the slots that are on each side of the base part of the stove. Not the grill. Loved the build out!
I have the same truck and use a slide in camper. To level it, switch your display over to off road mode and it will give you a level front to back and left to right. Great feature!
Love watching you every week. Sometimes I wake up with two senior lady cats at my head and chest and two lady dogs next to me. Heaven. Retiring soon and would like to do some camping. You give me hope. Will probably do something with my 2014 Toyota Sienna.
Tailgate lift: fold over an old seat belt piece or tow strap, remove one of the bolts of the tailgate inside face then run that bolt back through the strap making a loop handle to lift the gate x2.
I can't get over your positive attitude every single minute that you're out there. I love it! And I love how innovative you are with the smallest of things, like making a substitute coffee filter. Your lively personality is infectious and inspiring. Looking forward to checking out all of your other vids.
A used Ambulance also makes a good camper - already wired to a generator and a lot of storage cabinets in back, area on both sides for a bed. Can actually stand up in back, change flashing lights to out side lights. Storage on outside too. Just passing a idea along to you. Doyle.
The fact that you can do these things all by yourself fascinates me in every video. I wish I could pass through the screen and help you. It also helps that you are the most beautiful, sweetest woman I have ever seen. Best wishes to you. Loves from Turkey!
Right before you started posting on UA-cam, I was going to build a travel van. However before I started my build, I was offered a tiny house in NW Arkansas. So I bought the tiny house with the money I had saved to do my van build. A few months after I moved to Arkansas, a feral brindle puppy adopted me! I paid the house off, “Sally” my brindle is still by my side. Since then I bought a 1996 International 4700 with a 16’ box, & a rear hydronic lift, & I also bought a Kawasaki KLR 650. I bet you know what I’m thinking. Happy travels! 😊 oh I forgot, I also bought a 1997 4Runner. I’m getting closer to actually be able to just go.

Nikki, the center board could be put under one of the large cushions for storage and easy access ( less chance of bird dropping out in Mother nature's creation). Board could also be used as support with center cushion when being used as couch. You could also make a scissor jack table in center in opening. Push it down in lock position when making bed. Long table could come in handy for eating and putting food on side in reachable distance. 66 years old, time on my hands and outside of box thinker. 2 canopy tents may come in handy,1 for back and 1 for door where portable ice chest is ( On this one , I would glue a flap on one side, when stretched out over door on to top of truck with weights holding it in place. It will divert the pouring rain as secondary covering from truck to canopy. Rain & snow is going to happen - some ideas to keep you dry as you camp as best as you can. Doyle.
I ordered the blanket! I regretted not getting the shirt when you had that available. I am from BC and I am sure I saw you on a ferry between Saltery Bay and Earls Cove. You were in your new rig so I didn’t realize it was you until it was to late. I even saw Camper. Oh well missed opportunity to say you are absolutely awesome! Looking forward to getting the gorgeous blanket in early Dec.
Hi Nikki 👋 you and Justin did a awesome job on the truck! With all those slides and storage compartments, your design works! Just need your black out covers for the inside and pull rope (maybe) for the back end of the truck door to close it up when you're already inside for the night. Great to see Camper got over his fear of the water. 💦 Good boy!! 🐕
Nikki, maybe a t-shirt &/or a long sleeve t-shirt with the same colors & picture as the blanket but have Camper & Rodney sitting on the path looking forward instead of just seeing the back if them. I love the blanket/poncho, so unique & will be ordering one! 💜
Hi Nikki, I ordered a blanket/poncho last week and can't wait to get it. It looks like the coziest of outdoor gear, and I love that profits go to a good cause. Maybe another T-shirt and hats (ballcaps and knit caps) with both pups featured would be fun.
Yay! We've been so looking forward to the truck campers maiden adventure 😊 06:47 I live how Rodney always looks so deep in pensive philosophising when sitting and staring our the windows. Also, it's been so rewarding witnessing Camper's journey and development from being scared of the water to now loving going fishing in it 🫶 Please give some love to Camper and Rod for us. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend 💚
Omg we just got the the "All Roads" blanket part 😭 it's so beautiful and perfect! Amazing amazing amazing job, and as always thank you so much for all your do to love and support all the animals that you can. It's so special and important 💚
Nikki D‼️ The new build seems to suit you 3 … I cannot see how 6; as in you, Justin and 4 dogs will fit, however😂 My idea for your next Camper Cares creation would be a ball cap or t-shirt that includes Camp & RV❤️ Keep on bein’ you and showing us nature‼️
You've identified the ultimate off road sleep-in-vehicle set up-- a pickup truck with at least a 6.5 foot bed and a camper shell (also called a Topper, Canopy, etc, depending on where you live). This setup beats all other camping setups such as a rooftop tent because, unlike tents, it is 100% weatherproof, including resistant to wind up to almost small tornado strength. That's what I have, and my wife and I sleep on a queen size mattress atop a simple plywood platform that is built from pieces connected with door hinges where the plywood pieces connect. I can break it down by simply pulling the pins out of hinges and store the whole platform flat in my garage when not in use. I have plywood boards on rollers underneath to store my recovery & camping gear. It's nice to arrive at a remote boondocking location and already have your sleeping quarters set up.
I appreciate you Nikki for your love and big heart, that is one of the reasons I love you so much. You care about making the world a better place. With a few tweaks that truck will be bad ass and camping ready. Safe travels and stay safe, see ya next week.
Hanging shelves for the last 18” of the camper towards the cab. You will still have space for your feet/head. Good for light weight stuff; clothes, bedding, electronics. Keeps them more accessible and dry.
Too bad about the loud music. I have never understood why people go out in nature away from the hustle and bustle and then blare music. There are plenty of beautiful sounds in nature... or just listen to the quiet.
When I saw you were using the truck I thought it would be with Justin, but makes sense to do a demo run first. Lovely to see Camper going straight into the water. I miss my dog waking me up and also seeing him curled up for the night x
Great series but I wonder how you make the adjustment to a covered pick up after a sprinter van and it's crazy you have spent 5 years camping! What happens when this is all done?
I love the set up of this truck. It’s probably my favorite so far. I built a little camper and I’m still working on it but I’m so tall I keep hitting my head so we’ll see may change it up a little bit now that I’ve seen your video. Thank you for sharing. Cute dogs too by the way, you’re not so bad yourself

My wife and I love your journeys and have supported Camper Cares in the past. Imagine the laugh we got just now when you talked about Rodney wandering. My name is Rodney and I wrote a book called Spiritual Wanderer. We're still chuckling.
I might have missed something from a prior episode but I gotta ask: are you giving up on the Sprinter after all the problems it's had? Or is this just temporary while the Sprinter gets some major repairs?
Great videos! The metal thing on the bottom of the wind screen on your stove doesn’t hook around the grill. Rather if you squeeze it together you can push it into the slot on side of stove. This makes wind screen adjustable and open larger.
That van is a pos those Mercedes have a ton of problems she has had to get it fixed like a dozen times sad how they can’t make good stuff considering how expensive the vans are
Hi Nikki have been following for a while and always enjoy your content. I go on occasional weekend car camping trips in Subaru outback with my dog Milo, also a rescue here in Australia. Have just bought the blanket, I love the design and the fact that it goes to help rescues, will also look great in the car set up.🙌🙏😁
Basically, she met a boyfriend who seems to be on the other side politically. And getting heavily influenced by him. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out in a couple months
I think youll go back to the van, when you get a sore back from stooping over all the time in the truck. And then figure out you have a more private shower and toilet.....
I don't think it's intended to be a replacement for the van, just another option for short trips or rough terrain. I've been thinking about something similar myself. I love my travel trailer, but it's a pain to drag it out and get everything set up just to go spend a weekend at the lake or something.
Most people don’t sleep stooped buddy, they sleep lying down 🤨. And there’s no other time that you’d be inside it besides to sleep, you don’t go camping to spend time inside.
You did great! Love your new build out on your truck! I’d have to put on a taller camper shell so I could sit up a little bit better to get dressed. Look forward to seeing your new suspension and new tires. Love your videos. Thanks 😊
We shouldn't have to accommodate inconsiderate people. People should be able to be in nature and hear nature not music. If the quiet isn't for you maybe people shoud go camp in the city with all the noise. Some people camp for peace and quiet and get away from noise and people. Pantyhose foot part cut makes a great filter or a cut clean sock
so refreshing to see a woman without two million stupid tattoos all over them . thank you for not marking your arms and legs and keeping your body free of stupid tattoos . .. so refreshing to see .. its rare to see that anymore .. peace
Can’t wait to get our blanket, hope it will be here for Christmas, giving it to our daughter who loves camping with her two rescue dogs, Nala and Fern. Cheers from Western Canada 🇨🇦

Haha thank you! I think it’s just as long if not longer than the van!
I really like the truck build, Nikki!
Anybody who blasts music while camping just doesn't understand what camping is about.
I ordered a blanket and cant waiyt to get it, Great Idea and help support the pups
Nikki with the Mav rig. Okay 👌
My wife and I love your journeys and have supported Camper Cares in the past. Imagine the laugh we got just now when you talked about Rodney wandering. My name is Rodney and I wrote a book called Spiritual Wanderer. We're still chuckling.
So aesthetically pleasing! 😍
I might have missed something from a prior episode but I gotta ask: are you giving up on the Sprinter after all the problems it's had? Or is this just temporary while the Sprinter gets some major repairs?
The night to day video timescape was beautiful. Love the new truck set up. Very versatile and simple.
Okay Nikki, I guess I missed it, but why are you doing the pickup truck build? Ditching the van, or what?
Great videos!
The metal thing on the bottom of the wind screen on your stove doesn’t hook around the grill. Rather if you squeeze it together you can push it into the slot on side of stove. This makes wind screen adjustable and open larger.
Wait why did you do this truck thing with that amazing van?
That van is a pos those Mercedes have a ton of problems she has had to get it fixed like a dozen times sad how they can’t make good stuff considering how expensive the vans are
Sell it and get a more dependable van
I’d like to see Nikki’s and too this please
I just think you have the cutest dogs ever. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been off-line for a couple of months and I want to know what’s wrong with the van? Why are you outfitting a truck?
In one episode it was her boyfriends rig they were fitting out, so I don't know if she's testing it out or what.????
Hi Nikki have been following for a while and always enjoy your content. I go on occasional weekend car camping trips in Subaru outback with my dog Milo, also a rescue here in Australia. Have just bought the blanket, I love the design and the fact that it goes to help rescues, will also look great in the car set up.🙌🙏😁
Did I miss the reason for building out the new truck?
Mercedes is junk that costs more than it is worth?
Because truck camper content is so hot rn, van life is losing popularity
She told go in toilet in van life is not convinient
Easier to go off road
Basically, she met a boyfriend who seems to be on the other side politically. And getting heavily influenced by him. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out in a couple months
Nikki D you brighten my day and those of a lot of other people. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us!
I ❤️ Your Video Nikki Delventhal.
Thank you!
Nikki, on Amz, they sell metal strainers for your coffee thingy. Been using them for almost 2 years now- use it, wash it, reuse it!!!!
@@jeffreygunn3530thanks for the info. I was wondering why the change...
Most people don’t sleep stooped buddy, they sleep lying down 🤨. And there’s no other time that you’d be inside it besides to sleep, you don’t go camping to spend time inside.
She spent 3 years living in a Prius tho. 🤔
You gotta stop to get up into that camper shell, genius...@@swamptosoundadventures8337
Thats a cool story about your dog, Kamper/Camper.. He picked you and you kept him. Awesome. ❤❤
It's not big enough
Please just bye land
I’m setting up my own rig as well so love all the ideas. Also can’t wait for my blanket! Love supporting great causes ❤️
Omg to small
I bought 2 of your blankets. Can’t wait to get them!
Ahh thank you!!!!!
so refreshing to see a woman without two million stupid tattoos all over them . thank you for not marking your arms and legs and keeping your body free of stupid tattoos . .. so refreshing to see .. its rare to see that anymore .. peace
Crazy that you care that much about what others do.
Amen brother.
@@dakota4695crazy that you care so much about what other's personal opinions are....
I can smell the morbid obesity in this comment
Wtf is your problem dude?
Can’t wait to get our blanket, hope it will be here for Christmas, giving it to our daughter who loves camping with her two rescue dogs, Nala and Fern. Cheers from Western Canada 🇨🇦
Love the blanket and love you and the crew!! Happy to support-just bought one❤
Nikki just want to say another great video and thank you for taking me along and hello from Missouri
a tip to consider is the step that is built into the tailgate. Also on my truck i put the gas strut on it which helped it from slamming down.
Hey Nikki, happy trails! I have my blanket ordered! Can wait to check it out. As always your videos are so artfully edited. My favorite is your drone work. But the night time, time lapsed portion was amazing💜💜💜
I’ve been waiting for this video and it didn’t disappoint. Thanks for taking us along on the journey! Love seeing the happiness and contentment this lifestyle brings to you!
Thanks, love the blanket and look forward to getting it. Great video, I love the simple camping too, I just wish I could do more physically. To really enjoy more of it.
Love that set up that’s exactly how I wanna do in the bed of mine Silverado Z71 2001 from North Carolina super clean
I love the blanket! I ordered one. Can’t wait to get it!
That looked like an amazing spot to camp so beautiful
