A comment that was made a while ago highlights this best: @Knightoftheblacksky 11 days ago (edited) @upguess5360 It is the opposite actually, the bleed cap is 2*toughness multiplier* Level Modifier. Which means the higher the enemy's toughness the greater Bleed's potential is. Even at level 90, almost no boss comes close to hitting the cap. If a boss or elite did hit did hit that cap, the total damage from the 2 turns of the bleed dot + the initial damage would be 62.3 percent stronger than Quantum's initial break and Entanglement damage at 5 stacks, which in turn is stronger than windsheer against elites and up. This doesn't reflect in reality because bosses HP numbers don't hit the cap. For example if we were to take the star rail wiki's hp values at face value, to use Kafka as an example, who has 450 toughness, when she is at level 90, the damage she gets from physical break + bleed overall is 26.3% stronger than entanglement. and to compare entanglement vs windsheer here, Quantum break+ entanglement is 28% stronger than the Wind break +wind shear at three stacks, which is what elite/bosses get on initial break. That said this is, when talking about MoC, the least fair comparison between the two, as she has the highest toughness among enemy's in MoC which skew results in Quantum's favour, and Quantum is only relevant vs Kafka in this situation because of Silverwolf (who besides being the only one to be able to implant Quantum weakness, is also the best option in the Quantum rooster for making a break build). So bleed is a clear winner against her in pure damage at level 90. At level 80 though, keeping faith in the wiki's hp stats, then she her bleed damage is slightly lower than entanglement but higher than 3 stacks of wind shear. at high levels of MoC, physical break is not to be underestimated. As such, I heavily apologize for the misinformation and will ensure much more accurate assessments in the future!

Thank you! My next video is non Star Rail related but hopefully it's quality nonetheless. I hope to balance myself between such things to avoid running out of ideas/burn out.
personally love stacking break effect on asta, it's hilarious seeing svarog and cocolia's shield bar in SU melt from a single skill 😂 new viewer and i was actually surprised you don't have more subs since the vid was actually kinda high quality with the script and all. thanks for the vid
that's not what break effect does... it doesn't melt the shield, it only gives dmg when the shield is broken, the dmg they receive when the shield is broken is what break effect makes bigger. Whatever ur finding hilarious is not even a thing... lol
No problem. Glad to see people are enjoying the video! But yeah, Break Effect only increases the effect once the shiled is broken. To make the shield bar melt faster, thats Weakness Efficiency. Atm only 1 SU buff does that. But I heard leaks that Ruan Mei will have that for an ult!
i see! that explains a lot thought it had diminishing returns or something didn't really look it up so my bad. i guess asta is just kinda busted against bosses lol. thanks a bunch for the info 😅
@@ghy_ Asta melts shields on bosses because instead of hitting several opponents, her skill hits one 5 times. There is a way to increase the speed of toughness breaking - you should look for Weakness Break Efficiency on different blessings ("Mostly Harmful" on Elation path and "Night Beyon Pyre" on Nihility path)
My main team is Hook, Serval, Fire MC & a flex spot (usually for healer like Bailu or support like Asta Pela or Sampo).. Serval is the main breaker here, while Hook is the main damage dealer, Fire MC's role as a tank and also a debuffer with taunt & burn (using Topaz LC), the mechanic relies between enhanced attack from DoT status, it's quite straightforward.. I don't really build my Hunt units but Sushang, IMO she's more useful than other 4★ DPS units as she deals more damage in weakness broken status which is great for teams that relies on breaking instead of the Seeles & JingYuans of the world.. Hence, for bosses that doesn't have fire weakness, I put Sushang as the main DPS, together with Silver Wolf as the breaker, Natasha to pump physical weakness RNG & healer, and Qingque to clear mobs, a 50:50 physical & quantum RNG..😅 While I do know that the current meta is hyper-carry burst damage, but BE & DoT have carried me too in MoC stages, just need to make sure to level them up.. Mind you, as F2P I don't really care about MoC tho, as any resources that goes with the intention of pushing MoC is actually a bad investment.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sushang is generally my hyper carry most of the time. She just hits super hard and her ult is just icing on the cake. It also helps since one of her Eidolons grants 40% Break Effect. Bailu also happens to be one of my main healers as well. And I constantly use Serval when clearing the maps since most enemies have lightning weakness. As for memory of Chaos, yeah I'm just slowly building towards that. Hopefully I can fully clear it someday.

I've been trying to get relics for a BE build for a while now, and finally got the planetary pieces needed. My Sushang now has over 140 BE. That'll turn into over 200 when I get the rest of the relics I need and one more Eidolon for her >:3 Best part is that I only have to level a planetary sphere if I wanna move the build to someone else, since it's the only piece that care about damage type
I recently switched from trying to build a regular damage based Silver Wolf to a Break Effect Silver Wolf and difference is night and day, Break Effect just does so much more damage for my account. Granted, if you're a whale and have something crazy like E4/E6 Silver Wolf + E5 Signature Lightcone, then yes, the traditional damage crit chance/dmg build will be better. But I think for anyone else, the Break Effect Silver Wolf is a much better choice because you can get so much extra damage for so little investment. You pretty much just need the Break Effect sets and try to get the desired stats on the main pieces (chest/legs/rope/chain) and that's it, you're pretty much done. It requires a small amount of work in fights to try to make sure Silver Wolf is the one to break the boss, but it's actually easier than I thought it would be originally. Unless something goes very wrong during the fight, it's pretty easy to force the break on her, and then suddenly you're doing ridiculous damage numbers with the quantum entanglement. Much much higher than you would ever get from trying to build an E0 Silver Wolf as damage.
