I'm currently on volume 18 of the light novels. For context: season 2 of the anime ends at light novel volume 6. Season 3 is a chill season but sets up lore and world building for the future of slime.
I'm sure you've already begun watching season 3, but still, yes, Kazalim is the blonde elf secretary that Yuuki always is with, remember Laplace laughing his ass of to her in a previous episode? Well, that's the reborn Demon Lord Kazalim.
4:21 When rimuru used thought acceleration on clayman, in clayman's pov, 1 second feels like 11 days. That's all i can remember from ani news' explanation
The skill that Valentine used to change her clothes is called Material Creation. It allows a person to use mana or magicules to create garment, weapons, or other equipment.
Everytime Rimuru hit Clayman he gave Clayman his level of thought acceleration which meant that Clayman was trapped for what he felt like was weeks in constant pain from the punches which is why he looks so disheveled afterwards, theres a spin-off where after Rimuru kills Clayman he doesnt disappear but gets sent back in time to before Rimuru was reincarnated and wasnt under someone else's control and hes actually a really chill guy who does care for his subordinates, Laplace noticed his change in demeanor and questioned him earlier about if he was sure that everything he was doing was really his plans and not someone elses, Luminus left her post to Roy so long ago that most of the people at the table had no idea she was the actual demon lord Kazalim was completely destroyed by Leon but it was just a stroke of luck that Yuki was summoned around that time and his soul was compatible with Kazalims where he could house what was left of it until he could find a suitable vessel for it which was a homologous that became Kagali, Leon has a big secret but it wont be revealed until maybe the 4th or 5th season depending on pacing Laplace wasn't scared of Hinata, its just that his mission was to infiltrate and gather info on what was inside the cloister at the top, he had no intentions of battling anyone until Roy made fun of Clayman and mocked his death which made Laplace lose his composure, for reference without spoiling too much there is a Hero equivalent to an awakened demon lord and thats where Laplace at full strength would stand. The Light Novel is probably the best source of info since both the manga and anime omit details, there is an original web novel for slime that goes further but it seems the anime is based on the LN version and its already deviated from where the web novel went in terms of story and character motivations
I loved the OG webnovel before the LN came out, even though there were a lot of... loose threads in the writing. But the LN has been very, very good about tying up those loose threads, not blindsiding people, dealing with power creep, etc. I just don't think that the LN has caught up with the webnovel, considering the webnovel was completed when I read it before the first LN came out. Good shout!
@@SeaFireKLN has already surpassed WN in main story. Cuz the story in LN is far bigger then WN . WN ended yes but if LN had covered WN then LN would have ended long time ago. The reason LN still ongoing cuz the world is way more diversed here then WN version
6:50 it feels like an eternity to clayman because rimuru used thought acceleration on him. Making time slow down for clayman. Just like when the old guy fought with the other worlder and cut his head off, but on aMUCH MUCH larger scale. Not only 300 times , but thousands of times 😅
If im remembering it right it would be about a year of just waiting to die with your own thoughts Can't remember the exact amount rimurus thought acceleration maxes out at
Slime Diaries is spinoff containing good humorous pre-Demon Lord character stories with nothing to do with the main plot. However, since it was created and broadcast between the 1st and 2nd cour of 2nd Season, many of the locations shown in the 2nd & 3rd season have their origin in the Slime Diaries. Such as how the town hall was built. How Rimuru's personal residence was built. How the hot spring spa was built. Why the Dryad Trendi is the barkeep of her own bar. The various town festivals, agriculture production etc..
Lore drop! Guy, Milim, Ramiris Demon Lord Backstory: Of the Four True Dragons (Veldors is the youngest), Veldanova was the Eldest and Dragon of Space/Time; also, the creator of the world. But when a monster procreates, they kind of give up their power/immortality, so Veldanova is gone- his daughter is Milim. He made a dragon to be her companion, but the dragon was killed. The story Rimuru was told about someone becoming a demon lord to resurrect their companion (by killing the kingdom that did it) was Milim's story. (The kingdom that was destroyed was Kazalim's). Guy is the Awakened Primordial Demon Red; He was named by the first Hero, and left to monitor/balance the world by Veldanova. To protect the world, he fought a grief-mad Milim, and the only thing that stopped the two of them from fighting was an adult Ramiris (she controls Reality). She lost her life and has been trying to grow up again ever since (when she dies, she is just reborn, like the True Dragons). The Octagram is only made up of awakened Demon Lords, meaning they have the title in truth, as given to them by the World Voice. It also means that each of them has a Unique Skill, which is greater than an Ultimate Skill, because there's only one copy in the entire world. No one with a Unique Skill can be controlled by anything less than a more powerful Unique Skill, if that. That's why Clayman couldn't control Milim, or beat Rimuru.
21:10 it wasnt shown in the anime but the Claws that Milim has were made by rimuru to supress her power so she can train/ have mock battles with the citizens of Tempest without killing them.
when guy said Rimuru used thought acceleration on clayman. clayman saw and felt every single punch from Rimuru which is why he got surprised from the punches coming in slowy which in our eyes was just a flurry.
The Scarlet Bond, Visions of Coleus, Slime Diaries and the OVA (I like the last 3 episodes) fall into the timeline between season 1 and 2 before Rimuru becomes a deamon lord. I enjoyed watching them. There are a few callbacks to them in season 3. Slime Diaries is a fun Slice of Life series so no real action but it does feature other characters from Tempest. I loved the series so much I rewatch the show constantly and never get tired of it. I'm glad to see you guys enjoying it.
The “it will feel like an eternity” as he’s killing Clayman is because he used thought acceleration on him (the same way Rimuru slowed down time to be able to barely dodge Milim) so Clayman experienced being broken down and absorbed, soul and physical form, for a long freaking time
The way thought acceleration works, grants the user like a slow time effect, but its useless if you cant block or dodge the hit... Hence calayman had to just watch as rimuru beat him up for a lot longer than we saw
13:37 I think it’s funny that you guys really want them to eat, but I don’t think anyone in that room actually needs to eat😭 28:22 also don’t forget the OVA’s (Visions of Coleus) if you haven’t already seen it!
Fun Fact about Laplace... his VA is Roronoa Zoro's VA. You can kind of hear it at the moments when Laplace uses his deeper voice, but the change up from Zoro to Laplace is amazing! Almost as surprising as Daman Mills voicing Lyney from Genshin Impact, and Blade from Honkai Star Rail...
Don't forget the OVA's they are a nice side story worth the watch and also the slime diaries which are more a slice of life / world building aspect but still a good watch
25:38 A couple of references there. Fist of the North Star “You’re already dead” and Hunter x Hunter’s Killua killing a prisoner during the Hunter exams.
Laplace did run from Hinata, but he also ran from Roy before and was cut into pieces and was about to run from him again. He only stayed because Roy insulted the death of Clayman and then easily killed him. We haven’t seen the Moderate Harlequin Alliance fight much, generally avoiding doing so, but when they have, they’ve been ridiculously strong. They said Clayman was the weakest one. I anticipate seeing more about them. (No, I don’t read the manga.)
Fun fact the ‘ten great demon lords’ is the name the humans gave when they noticed most of the time there are usually ten demons. The demon lords didn’t even came up with their own name after several walprugis. 😂 Also, paraphrasing Guy. “It doesn’t matter if there are ten or hundreds of demon lords, only the strong ones will remain” again paraphrasing.
Copied from my previous post a few episodes back But before the Movie, since the kids and Tiss-sensei appear in the 3rd season, it is still good to watch the last 3 episodes of the 5 episode OVA series, as this explains how Tiss-sensei earned the trust of the kids, with a secret behind this that the kids, and even Rimuru are not aware of, and becomes Rimuru's replacement teacher before he leaves the Freedom Academy. The 3 episode Coleus OVA, like the first OVA series, occurs between 1st and 2nd season. Coleus assumes you've seen the 1st OVA series, contains a 2nd season spoiler, and contains a Movie 3rd and possibly a 4th season character preview. For those who hasn't seen it, it might be safer to see it after 2nd Season to avoid spoiler and character confusion with 2nd Season.
The movie is considered a spin-off, meaning it is a unique material adapted into a film. However, it’s worth watching because key characters will appear, and you’ll get to know them much better later on.
Rimuru gave Milim those claw gauntlets to reduce the power of her punches so she wouldn't accidentally kill someone (like Gabiru) if she goes off again. Also, that helps her fight less powerful people on a more level playing field (if that's still even possible).
There was a name drop in there that you didn't seem to pick up on. After the maid was revealed to be the actual demon lord, she was named Valentine Luminus. The religion that Hinata and the holy church follow is based on the Godess Luminus.
The Slime Diaries, the spin off show is great. The art is a bit different but it does the slime of life type episodes. The 12 episodes take place from early on to before the second part of this season. It is fun, especially for how much screen time side characters get.
I’m reading the light novels now and have just finished volume 5 which ends after Rimuru evolves into a Demon Lord and Rimuru frees Veldora and gives him a clone body. So I haven’t gotten here yet myself, but if I recall correctly, during this fight Rimuru can absorb Clayman’s abilities but he doesn’t because he already has better versions or higher class skills than any that Clayman possesses. So basically all of his skill set is trash to Rimuru haha. 🤣 😂
I can recommend the reincarnated as a slime ova, movie, vision of coleus and slime diary because all of them before of the season 3 and few of them they contain some story element
Fun fact: when Rimuru absorbed Clayman he didn’t take any of his skills, as none of them were upgrades or things he couldn’t already do / was interested in. Clayman was totally inferior in EVERY way
Yuuki is the headmaster of the Freedom Academy, but he has much more power and influence then this. He is also head of the Freedom Association, which is the largest adventurers guild with branch offices in all the major human nations (Fuze is the head of the branch office in Blumund) which created and owns the Freedom Academy. If a nation needs to hire military forces, their only choice would the Holy Church of Luminus (but only if they have them as their main religion) or Adventures from the Freedom Association
so let me answer your questions from the last video about the words of the world... Rafael or Great sage is like a personal assistant of rimuru and the words of the world is like a notification email to every living thing for example if someone evolve into a demon lord the words of the World is gonna announced it or notify everyone but the sage or Rafael is different since it is in rimuru head or he's personal assistant while the words of the world only speak, notify or announced important things that is happening
The oldest Demon Lords in Octagram are Guy, Deno, Ramiris and Dagruell, all 4 of them are ancient beings with Guy and Deno being as old as time itself. Also out of the 8 Demon lords only 5 of them are awakened as True Demon Lords. Guy, Milim, Deno, Luminous and Rimuru are True Demon Lords while Ramiris, Dagruell and Leon are not
28:12 you definitely should watch cut contents, power system explained and other staff that's been left out in season 1 and 2 . For that "Aninews" has a whole playlist for slime covering all of that. So you should watch his videos.
maybe just compile your reaction to slime diaries episodes in one video if you could. doesn't really matter if it's more than one hour long. and by the way it would really be fun if you guys will continue to react to slime after season 3. there are fanmade videos on youtube that's based on the light novel if you're interested with that
Its from light novels which are just normal novels in Japan. Range from 100-500 pages per volume. Slime has I think 22 volumes maybe official translated volumes, then there are also fan translations till they got mad, so now you have to find the MTL versions which are ehh. (Slime is like 300ish pgs per volume I think) Sometimes web novels evolve to light novels then get adapted to manga then anime, but some just start with the manga and then stuff like God of Highschool is just straight anime. (Pretty sure it was a crunchyroll original) Y'all should not watch lore stuff. It will spoil. If that's ok with y'all then go for it. And for diaries and the movie aren't canon. Same as the ova's. So you can, but not necessary. Its like how most anime movies aren't canon.
Just a headsup season 3 has a lot of talking, lore, and world building. You’ll get your action fix near the end like in this season 2, but just warning you if you’re going from end of season 2 to start of season 3 you might have expectations for crazy action fights, you’ll get them but you’ll have to be patient 😊
It bothers me to this day that they drew in Louis fighting Laplace when it should've been Roy. That confused me for a while at first until I realized it was a production error.
Next season revealed why laplace can beat that guy Waiting for next season. 😂 In the manga it's a lot darker. Like the laplace massacre a lot of luminism supporters who pursue him and say that line And a lot of info we got is in LN and manga
I'm not sure if you already watched "The Slime Diaries" that one is more of a slice of life (not sure if it's your liking), but it would give some cool details of events and things that happened before season 2 and after season 1 ❤❤❤
Rimuru can have a maximum of 4 "unique skills." That's why Raphael couldn't evolve and had to sacrifice one "unique skill" to successfully achieve the evolution
Adding to this the probability of evolving a unique skill forcibly is one in a million minimum. It’s like a combination or a lottery. What are the chances the exact number needed matched to fit the criteria for evolution. Great sage had to do simulations and testing to get the correct combination for evolution which was sacrificing degenerate.
This could be considered a minor spoiler but it's not reaaly important, Guy, is not actually named Guy, it's more like Gih, as he was named after the sound the people made when facing him, aka, being massacred by him, as i said, not really important information but that why his is just "Guy"
@FrostyFyre That's true as well. I just mentioned that they don't necessarily need to be demons. It's a title like President, Potentate, Prime Minister, etc. I think I heard them mention Frey and that the sky apparently needed a demon.
I would say this about lore videos, yes I would watch some, but be careful with what you do watch bc of spoilers if that bothers you. Season 1,2,and 3 are all kinda set up seasons for the rest of the story. In the beginning we learn about the worlds basics then we move on the rimaru developing tempest and friendships and then we get into rimaru starting his entry into the worlds politics. All 3 seasons are stepping stones for the ones before but after this we get into the real problems in the world, both politically and socially, and then all hell breaks loose(literally) so just be sure not to go too far into things you might not want to spoil yourself with yet
I normally really like Rimuru. And then I remember that he's a torturer and slave owner, who even tortures, or enslaves even conscripted soldiers who just happened to be subjects of his enemies due to where they were born. He doesn't even necessarily torture them for any other reasons than his own sick satisfaction. Not even for information. Moments like those really ruin his whole character and the vibe of the entire series for me. It's such black and white shallow thinking. Bad guy deserves punishment, the end. I know it's just an anime, but it's such an insultingly childish view of justice. Especially for a show about building a civilization.
I'm currently on volume 18 of the light novels.
For context: season 2 of the anime ends at light novel volume 6.
Season 3 is a chill season but sets up lore and world building for the future of slime.
and yet many people complaining about it for a boring season.
@eizy1010 i mean many people expectation isekai is about Adventure and fighting 😅
I wonder if we're ever going to get to the massive incredible battles, that the later light novels are about, in the anime 😅
I'm sure you've already begun watching season 3, but still, yes, Kazalim is the blonde elf secretary that Yuuki always is with, remember Laplace laughing his ass of to her in a previous episode? Well, that's the reborn Demon Lord Kazalim.

Laplace wasn't scared of Hinata, its just that his mission was to infiltrate and gather info on what was inside the cloister at the top, he had no intentions of battling anyone until Roy made fun of Clayman and mocked his death which made Laplace lose his composure, for reference without spoiling too much there is a Hero equivalent to an awakened demon lord and thats where Laplace at full strength would stand.

Waiting for next season. 😂
In the manga it's a lot darker.
Like the laplace massacre a lot of luminism supporters who pursue him and say that line
And a lot of info we got is in LN and manga
can't wait to see rimuru get introduce with chaos creator title even know it will be long chapter
Also because the evolution had redundant effects, and acted as a combination of 2 previous skills (the one evolved and the one sacrificed)
Spoilers: And Rimuru got 77 Ultimate skills in Light novel and webnovel
Yes watch AniNews lore stuff
Yes definitely you should cover any news
It will help you guys better understanding of tensura
This could be considered a minor spoiler but it's not reaaly important, Guy, is not actually named Guy, it's more like Gih, as he was named after the sound the people made when facing him, aka, being massacred by him, as i said, not really important information but that why his is just "Guy"
Demon Lords aren't demons guys (with the exception of Guy). It 's a title, a level of high power and they are usually leaders of a domain.
Actually Rimuru evolved to a demon slime when he first absorbed that army, and demon slime is a class of demon race, so he also counts.
@FrostyFyre Yep
And, as noted in the episode, Leon is also of demonoid race, which is a sub-class of demon.
@FrostyFyre That's true as well. I just mentioned that they don't necessarily need to be demons. It's a title like President, Potentate, Prime Minister, etc. I think I heard them mention Frey and that the sky apparently needed a demon.
@@n0tk0sher Yeah, totally valid, I was just letting them know that 3 of the 8 in Octagram are also technically demons by race AND title 😂
All 3 seasons are stepping stones for the ones before but after this we get into the real problems in the world, both politically and socially, and then all hell breaks loose(literally) so just be sure not to go too far into things you might not want to spoil yourself with yet
theres 3 ova's after the movie as well
between s2 and s3 ya could watch Slime Diaries, that shows the daily life of the tempest monster federation.
There’s also 3 special eps that you guys should watch
frey can knock you out by her looks lololololololo
Watch the spin off anime Slime Diaries as well
Great video
duy Crimson being showing that kind of affection got me creep up and I dislike it
There is a spin of in which clay man is mc
React to the entire 11 part playlist "AniNews Tensura" before seazon 3.
Yes watch aninews
They should watch some but not all because some of them have spoilers
I normally really like Rimuru. And then I remember that he's a torturer and slave owner, who even tortures, or enslaves even conscripted soldiers who just happened to be subjects of his enemies due to where they were born. He doesn't even necessarily torture them for any other reasons than his own sick satisfaction. Not even for information. Moments like those really ruin his whole character and the vibe of the entire series for me. It's such black and white shallow thinking. Bad guy deserves punishment, the end. I know it's just an anime, but it's such an insultingly childish view of justice. Especially for a show about building a civilization.
please don't watch the movie
it is ok but it has a bunch of SPOILERS for content in season 4 and onward plus it is not even cannon
Watch slime diaries 🍻
great video
