A thing you need to understand about Milim is that she's way too powerfull. It's right that Milim might act silly but she's actually one of the smartest characters in the series, so basic things such as mind control don't work on her at all, her will is too strong. Clayman is too weak to be able to scratch Milim even with all of her barriers down. Also at 22:34 the answer is no, the others don't have their own "Great Sage", the voice you heard speaking during Clayman's awakening was coming from the Voice of the World, some sort of administrative system that announce the important event that take place, being it an evolution or obtaining a new skill.
I think Frey only stop the beat down comments about her activations of a skill. But just so he stop stomping on her like a doll, it just the worst, even if it was not hurting
Exactly. And the only time people other than the intended target hear the "words of the world" is when a big evolution, like to a True Demon Lord takes place. Otherwise only the specific target hears it. An example of that would be when Rimuru was dying on Earth and words of the world granted him various skills, including Great Sage.
Early episodes in Season 1 did a horrible job of explaining this point at the start, and there were so few announcements from the voice of the world afterwards that a lot of anime Only enjoyers miss this knowledge since it's not demonstrated clearly again until midway through Season 2
You are correct there is a difference between The Words of the World and Raphael/Great Sage. Shuna mentions The Words of the World during the harvest festival, Great Sage basically ripped The Words of the World's ability to speak to talk to Rimuru. Great Sage is Rimuru's personal AI assistant where as The Words of the World is the worlds announcement system.
One of the othr worlder told them words of word mention what to do to gain a survivor skill too. While accurate, shame they didn't use two different voice or explain it better
@@galonski64 i find the dub better in this respect because while its still the same va there is more robotic distortion on the voice for Worlds of the World
When Rimuru died as a human the Voice of the World is the one who spoke to him and granted him his abilities, including Great sage. It has a role of an announcer of important events that take place and also an administrative system that grants all the living things their abilities be it by nature (like providing mindless monsters their abilities - Serpent = poison, etc.) or by verbal request from the creature (if the one completed specific conditions). Great sage, on the other hand, due to being an adaptive and self educating ability, was somewhat a less powerful version of the Voice, but upon it's evolution and progress it copied verbal communication ability of the Voice and at the moment of the Harvest festival it cheated a bit with the Voice and using other non-important Rimuru's abilities evolved itself and other strong abilities into Ultimate skills, making Rimuru almost godlike entity (in power and skills at least).
1:30 Btw, originally, Veldora showed up because Rimiru pranked him and switched the cocer of a final volume of the manga he was reading. Veldora was so incensed that he teleported to Rimiru for the last volume.
Fun fact: awakening clayman become a measurement of strength in the future😂 Great sage - (become awakening) become rafael Voice of the world: is omnipresent that governs whole verse and gives ability if requirement meet.
Veldora is the YOUNGEST of 4 Siblings, he has two older sisters, one of Fire and the other of Ice, we`ve met her already. Milim is the LITTERAL Princess of the Universe because her father was the Celestial Star Dragon, Veldoras older brother, WHO I SHOULD MENTION: CREATED THIS UNIVERSE! That is a major reason as too why Milim is so powerful.
25:29 great sage was also talking /communicating with the voice of the world to haggle/ create an upgrade for its own and other upgrades to Rimaru 's skills
The voice everyone is able to hear is Words Of The World. Great Sage is Rimuru's private and personal version of WOTW. Raphael is the upgraded version. WOTW is just a system set up by God to work with this world's evolution system. The voice Rimuru heard talking to him when he was dying in our world was also WOTW. Great Sage just took the same voice as the WOTW
A few things I dunno if you've fully grasped is the metric of time. Rimuru, as a demon slime specifically, has no defined life span. He is effectively immortal. So permanent allies with the Beast Kingdom, or the rights to future tolls on the road that he got from Erald are actually HUGE deals. Anything that impacts decades or centuries is huge. For that matter, I think every (?) Demon Lord is effectively immortal for one reason or another, or incredibly long lived. The three oldest of Guy, Ramiris and Milim have been around for millennia. Though Ramiris does, and can, effectively "die" she is much like the True Dragons in that she is a law of nature more than a person so she will ALWAYS reincarnate, as herself. Hence why she gets called small so often. If we see a season in a few decades/centuries without incident that kill her she will grow and get older.
black in japan is kuro, and people in the past call it noir and noir is the original demon primordial black aka diablo, rimuru still didn’t understand that diablo is one of the 7 demon primordiall aka the strongest demon.
I believe it was Shuna who said out loud that the announcement about the Harvest Festival was coming from the Words of the World. Raphael obviously sounds like the Words of the World. The anime doesn’t explicitly state that Raphael copied the voice in order to speak to Rimuru. All the info is there to figure it out, the anime doesn’t explicitly explain it. I’ve heard the manga goes in to much more detail about it though.
I just came here to tell u that randomly throughout the day I find myself yelling out 3, 2, 1, boom! Love the reactions! Thank u guys for paying so much attention to details. U have my continued support 🤝
You heard about "Words of the World" when Geld was fighting that one other-worlder who killed his female "friend" and received the skill "Survivor". You also heard about it during Rimuru's "Harvest Festival" when "Words of the World" spoke to everyone in Rimuru's capital announcing his evolution and declaring that everyone connected to his soul would receive gifts. Shuna stated it was "Words of the World" speaking. Rimuru's skill is different and the same. When Great Sage first started speaking to Rimuru, it borrowed the voice of "Words of the World" as Great Sage didn't have a voice of it's own.
Knowing that milim wasnt really being controlled, its always interesting to look at how the different demon lords reacted. For example, thats why Guy allowed milim to fight, when ramiris was asking about it. he knew milim wasnt being controlled and was acting on her own. Hence him allowing her to play out her scheme. He also knew ramiris wasnt understanding that, which is why he refused to let her interfere until after he spoke to beretta. Which also is a great way of showing us just how strong, knowledgeable and intelligent Guy/Rouge is.
and now you know where the nick name for valdora is weebdora. he really is a weeb and we love him for it. adding in yes when rimuru became a demon lord the gifts they all got was the words of the world.
16:30 Yeah, Milim had to basically turn off every defensive ability she had just to fake being controlled. It damn near didn't work, since she's so exceptionally old and powerful, she doesn't ever have a reason to tone down her OPness.
So Clayman couldnt have had a worse opponent than Shion, Due to her and the rest of the goblins dying and being resurrected by Rimuru they all aquired the same skill called Perfect memory, it makes it so that her consciousness is stored in her soul rather than her brain which means should any of them die again, so long as their soul isnt damaged in the fight they can be resurrected even if their physical and spiritual body are obliterated, it also makes mind control useless since it cant target their mind inside their soul as well as Shion being an up close and personal brawler while Clayman is more of longer range fighter with his puppets being his frontline fighters while he throws spells and curses from a distance. Its been heavily implied that Milim wasnt under claymans control if you payed attention to what some characters were saying/doing, like Frey smiling and saying Clayman wasnt long for this world after the flashback of when Milim put on the necklace, Guy allowing Milim to join Clayman since it was done of her own volition, Raphael saying that there was no curse found when analyzing Milim, Veldora immediately sensing she wasnt controlled and Milim nodding when Veldora told her to Play with him Milim wasnt fighting at full power since she didnt take on her battle form but she wasnt really holding back in her normal form, she was itching to see how much stronger Rimuru got after he awakened so she wanted to push him to his limits since she knew he wouldnt die from a single hit, also both Shion and Raphael realized it was Carrion as soon as he walked in Millim also has to manually disable her protective shield when she put on the necklace since if she hadnt Clayman would have hurt himself from touching her, she also had to secretly contantly eat raw bell peppers in order to keep the dead eye look since she absolutely hates them The clowns work for Yuki since he brought Kazalim back to life, also yes Clayman is battle-wise the weakest since Kazalim made him specifically to take over the role of demon lord for him if something would happen so he sacrificed battle power for intelligence and leadership when creating Clayman Raphael/Great Sage is different from the words of the world, in reality when Rimuru reincarnated he was alone for 2 months since Great sage had no voice and it took 2 months for it to copy the voice from the words of the world and use it for itself, in the Harvest festival episode if you rewatch the part where Great Sage asks for its evolution if you look at the backgrounds you can see it changes to signify which of the 2 is talking at the moment
Milim had to turn off all of her skills and defenses to try to fool Clayman otherwise she knew he'd realize it didn't work. He hurt himself more when he punched her. She also had to eat green bell peppers (she hates their taste) to keep that dazed look on her face (though we see her let it slip and genuinely smile like when fighting Carrion or Rimuru). She's not lying when she said she had to work really hard at it (because Clayman is so weak 😂) to fool him. Like Guy said, she's a goof ball but she's really perceptive and cunning. She acts like a kid (sometimes to get her way), but she's thousands of years old, has lots experience and is pretty smart in certain things.
Veldora is impressive Clayman is a clown too, they work as a group. The clowns serve demon lord kazalim. The voice was "words of the world" This proves that the world system recognized clayman's resolve / desire for power.
Mist of Claymans fingers like Mjurran, Adalmann and Nine Head (Kumara later)mhave a really sad and tragic back story and were forced to work for Clayman against their will. But Rimuru saved them and gained powerful allies as a result.
*section about people never paying attention and/ or consuming media too quickly, deleted because it got possibly offensive for some* Words of the World is different from Great Sage and was the one reincarnating Rimuru in the beginning (The questions and search it did when he was stabbed to determine a slime body would fulfill his requests) It also created great sage, which is why great sage had it's voice. Great Sage did probably not exist in the world before Rimuru's reincarnation, but Raphael did. (Which is also while Raphael insists that it always spoke propper, despite speaking "more fluent" than Great Sage from Rimuru's and our prospective) Great Sage has a desire to be of use to Rimuru, which made it request evolving. And spoiler: She is not finished yet :D Words of the World was talking to Rimuru and his allies during his awakening (Harvest Festival). It also talked to Great Sage, which requested to evolve into "Wise One", which is a skill already in persession and of Unique Level. Great Sage then sacrificed a skill to evolve, which made it an Angel Ultimate Skill (Ultimate Skills with Angel names, they will become more important later in the story) Words Of the World also talked to the otherwordler who killed his female companion for the Survivor skill. You could say Words of the World is just the system voice. (If you consumed enough Isekai, you know what I mean)
Shion is the worst enemy for Clayman. After coming back to life, she (and the 100 others) got the skill [soul memory] that acts likex a virtual soul recorder. If she died or her soul is attacked, her memories are restored by it. Thats why Claymans attack didn't work. Her skill kept "overwriting" her soul and his control over it. It was say Benimaru, it might have worked mo him at that time (i don't think he had [spiritual attack nullification] yet at this point). Shion didnt know that though and let herself get hit. She got lucky that things worked out in her favor. Between her skills and sword, there's nothing Clayman could do to her.
You're right about The Voice of the World. It's basically a system that governs the laws of the world and appears during events such as evolution amd that's why everyone heard it during the Harvest Festival Raphael tho is basically an AI that is personal to Rimuru There's a reason why the Voice of the World and Raphael/Great Sage has the same voice, you will find about it much later
The "words of the world" is the collective consciousness of this magical world and ALL people can hear it when they evolve or acquire skills. Very few skills have a need for a voice but, by the nature of all skills, it would sound the same. Raphael is just the final evolution of the sage skill. Sage, Great Sage, Wise one and finally Raphael.
You really should check out Slime Diaries - it's set between Seasons 1 and 2 and fills in a lot of character backstory, cementing Geld as Best Boi!. It's also got a ton of Milim hijinks since she started living in Tempest.
it was during episode 12 or 13 i think it was "words of the world" . Raphael is an angelic ultimate skill (specifically one that was from Veldanava, the original first True Dragon/God/creator, i think or a slightly different version of it) so its an overwhelmingly powerful skill. it gets more powerful later in the Novels and i think it will get animated in the next season as well. (not 3 but season 4 which was approved i think) it just gets better. have fun with the movie too. it was absolute fire ^^b
"Black?" Guy Crimson and "The Noir", AKA, "Black", AKA Diablos, are 2 of the seven Primordial Demons. Imagine them as the Adam`s and Eve`s of all of demon kind. Every demon in existence is a direct descendant of one of them, and their heritage is determined by what color their auras are: White, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Magenta and Black.
0:44 the table disappearing was because of guy, he has control over that dimension they’re in (I hope I’m right) Claymans awakening, the voice is The Voice of the World/Words of the World depending on translations. Same as Raphael but not the same thing Oh boy, edit number 3💀 Clayman’s awakening was basically him using his soul as a catalyst for evolution
So the anime does gloss over the more in depth explanation of the skills that people have. If you have the chance to read the novels I would highly recommend it. You can learn how terrifying some of those skills really are.
Since you guys watch Aninews Overlord you should try his Tensura videos. It explains the power system, skills, magic, race evolution, Rimuru's evolution, skipped content, and many more.
I feel you might be missing some information on the primordial demons you should already know. They was known by colors as most where not named but still powerful enough to be known. At least Two are named at this point that you would know, The Primordial Red Guy Crimson and The Primordial Black Diablo.
Yes the primordial Green and Blue are also named but unsure their status as primordials should be known yet in the anime though not much of a spoiler if they wasn't
@@kurisu1384 Fair point…sometimes I forget there are gaps between the LN and the anime. Also, don’t let people find out that two strangers can have a mature, constructive dialogue on the internet…I heard that’s impossible these days.
Hey Milim, let's play. Sure uncle Veldora. Been a while since I've seen you. Yeah yeah. BTW, i read all these scared texts and I've been dying to try out my Veldora Killing Arts. Mind if i...? It better not be boring.
I agree that the anime does a poor job of explaining things. The Voice of the World is a system wide voice that everyone/anyone can hear. At the beginning of the story, the Great Sage copies the voice of the world so that she can speak directly to Rimuru. That's why they sound the same. They are completely different entities however. Great Sage (and the evolved form, Raphael) is an overpowered, A.I. like skill that is unique to Rimuru. There is no one else who has that skill except him.
The one who awakened the seed of the Demon Lord in Clayman at that moment was Raphael. It was a plan to awaken his powers so Rimuru could face him. This way, Rimuru demonstrates his power to the other Demon Lords and secures his seat.
A thing you need to understand about Milim is that she's way too powerfull. It's right that Milim might act silly but she's actually one of the smartest characters in the series, so basic things such as mind control don't work on her at all, her will is too strong. Every demon in existence is a direct descendant of one of them, and their heritage is determined by what color their auras are: White, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Magenta and Black.
oh Yes the next Episode almost immediately after i finished the last.
0:44 the table disappearing was because of guy, he has control over that dimension they’re in (I hope I’m right)
Claymans awakening, the voice is The Voice of the World/Words of the World depending on translations. Same as Raphael but not the same thing
Oh boy, edit number 3💀 Clayman’s awakening was basically him using his soul as a catalyst for evolution
Rimuru eat table with Ultimate Skill Belzebuth.
Fyi guy crimson is red primordial demon.
So the anime does gloss over the more in depth explanation of the skills that people have. If you have the chance to read the novels I would highly recommend it. You can learn how terrifying some of those skills really are.
you should react to videos about slime like you do for overlord
Yes Voice/Word of the world is that announces evolutions and skill upgrades. watch a few lore vids bout the show from AniNews :3
Since you guys watch Aninews Overlord you should try his Tensura videos. It explains the power system, skills, magic, race evolution, Rimuru's evolution, skipped content, and many more.
I don’t think this is a spoiler because it already happened. Raphael tried to evolve into Words of the World.
The light novels explain it.
I feel you might be missing some information on the primordial demons you should already know. They was known by colors as most where not named but still powerful enough to be known. At least Two are named at this point that you would know, The Primordial Red Guy Crimson and The Primordial Black Diablo.
There are 4 named Primordials: Guy, Diablo, Mizeri and Raine (who both work for/serve Guy).
This episode was the best 😂
great video
Awesome job guys
I agree that the anime does a poor job of explaining things. The Voice of the World is a system wide voice that everyone/anyone can hear. At the beginning of the story, the Great Sage copies the voice of the world so that she can speak directly to Rimuru. That's why they sound the same. They are completely different entities however. Great Sage (and the evolved form, Raphael) is an overpowered, A.I. like skill that is unique to Rimuru. There is no one else who has that skill except him.
If i know well when guy crimson speak about Black he speak about diablo
You should react some video about tensura universe and more about slime like you react overlord video
The one who awakened the seed of the Demon Lord in Clayman at that moment was Raphael. It was a plan to awaken his powers so Rimuru could face him. This way, Rimuru demonstrates his power to the other Demon Lords and secures his seat.
Please react to the ova is very important
