Here's a cool thing on Nur: In the underwater section in the actual corridors where there are dead storm troopers floating everywhere, you can actually push them all the way to where you are no longer underwater, and they will still float in midair as if they are underwater.
I did this trying to save them as a joke and got confused and laughed for a hour lol

The geysers are what are actually referred to as "black smokers." The smoking effect is caused by several-hundred degree fluids being ejected into the ocean water along with various metals and chemicals.
You can really tell that Andrew has put a ton of work into these videos, they have so much detail and cool stuff I didn’t know about before.

At 10:06 the troops are dead , you reach a part in the mission where water breaches the hall ways and kills the troopers there ragdolled and movable if you go near them and push them with cal , I did that it was pretty funny.
4:40 Geologist here, what your looking at is a black smoker, a type of hydrothermal vent.
Sea floor rock is saturated with water, and if you put a heat source near it (such as a magma chamber near the surface) then the entire section turns into a heat/water pump. The hot water exerts too much pressure to be contained and evacuates, adjacent colder water can now move in, gets heated and the cycle continues.
The reason why it is a black smoker, is that the moving, hot water strips the rock of some of its material, the high temperature and high pressure can cause metals to dissolve in the hydrothermal fluid, which then rapidly fall out of precipitation with a drop in temperature and pressure, causing the “smoke” cloud.
Given the fact that this appears to be a purely igneous rock interaction, with little or no sedimentary or metamorphic contamination, the black “smoke” is probably due to iron and magnesium, which are the dominate metals in the “smoke” from hydrothermal vents on our own sea floor, as it’s mainly basalt.

Andrew works so hard for all of these videos, making one pretty much everyday can be extremely stressful yet he does it with seemingly no trouble!

Also in the interrogation section after Darth Vader starts chasing you, he doesn’t actually come back unless you interact with the elevator so you can go back and explore that part after you reach the elevator. The platform to your left you can reach by using the flying glitch and you can actually stand on it. The platform to the right isn’t real though. Also when Vader stabs into the elevator, if you take the camera outside the elevator, his lightsaber is actually just floating and sticking into the elevator. He’s not actually holding it lol.

At the last section of the fortress, there’s the mantis way under it and you’re able to enter it and replay the mission
The "steam thing" is actually water coming out from underwater springs. the reason that it is black is that it is so hot that it appears that way. It is a natural deep-sea occurrence and found commonly at the bottoms of trenches. Normally it is only found in "the midnight zone" where there is no light from the sun. This is a real thing that actually happens in real life.
In conclusion, it is really hot water.
Finally someone else in the comments who knows what a hydrothermal vent is, I have seen about 15 others say it’s gas coming from the volcano.
Hydrothermal vents are also likely the source of all life on the Earth. In other words: I’m extra triggered that no one seems to know what they are.

with the volcanoes undertwater, those are hydrothermal vents. they expel heated water and nutrients from the volcano deep under the ocean. it supports a wide variety of life. the heat from the lava and the volcano heats up the water around which then gets vented through these vents to release pressure. hope that helped you understand them

That gas funnel was ejecting volcanic ash or smoke from the volcano as sometimes the main funnel of the volcano isn't enough to get all the ash and gunk out as there is a constant enormous pressure inside, forcing everything out.
That's your most plausible answer, Bombastic, to your question about the "steam funnel".
I think I know what that shark thing is: a bluevev glider, found on Corellia and first seen in Solo, A STAR WARS Story.

The smokey things underwater are called smokers. They can be black, white or grey and they are actually streams of hot water colored by minerals in the ground under them.
Props to him restarting the whole game to get to nur

I found something out that I don't know of you've done a video on but if you use the fly glitch on any battle grid map to fly under the map, you'll find a black sphere, and of you fly into the sphere, you'll be able to explore to meditation area where you use skill points. Please try it
