1. I used a 7/8" thickness square wooden dowel I had leftover after cutting another board. But you can buy a 1" diameter thickness square wooden dowel from Lowes or Home Depot. The last I check Home Depot was selling for a 3 ft under $5.00.

6. Sand paper or sand blocks, preferable 160-180 grit will do the job: amzn.to/3QKBjoK. I used my oscillating tool.
