It’s been about a year since the official race but i’m still excited to watch this.

It’s been almost two years, and I still love watching the race.
I got to watch this in person. The energy, especially at the final stretch was incredible. You don't realize how fast they're going until you watch them fly right by in person.
The C.U. buffs had five girls make NCAA All-American in the top 25, win the national individual and team championship titles. What an accomplishment coach Jerry Wetmore the Best and finest coach in NCAA history by way of New Jersey and Bernardsville.
I always come back to this race and then Makena’s interview after always puts me to tears 😭
They need a deeper shoot at the end. They are having to slow down not to crash. Bad planning.

Nobody could catch her that quickly. It wouldn't have helped her either.
After she got up you could see that she did not want them touching her. I think he had the right idea to wait until it was clear whether she wanted help.

Worst camerawork of any race I have seen. Did the camera director /editor not understand what racing is about?
What is the point with the thumbnail photo for this video/race? The moment I saw it I understood that was the winner. All excitement gone, before I have seen a second of the race. Watched the last kilometer, confirmed. Uploaders, you have to be more considerate.

How is this an NCAA College race when it's only 1K longer than HS girls XC races?

I know right! In Canada high school girls (11 and 12's) run 6k so the distance doesn't even go up! I predict that soon that will change.

I don't understand the premise here. People who run 400 meters in high school track don't suddenly move up to 800m in college. It's the exception to the rule that cross country runs different distances in college. This is the only running discipline that does that.
Women should run the same length race as the men - 8k. After all, women can run marathons just like men.
