Paul's Playhouse ~ A Tiny Home Tour

- After hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, I arrived home to Montana with an entirely shifted perspective of my surroundings. What once seemed to be an old and forgotten playhouse made by my grandfather, now presented itself as a wonderful opportunity.
I went right to work, renovating this space into what it is now. The pursuit of moving into this tiny home required that I minimize my possessions, and maximize my ability to organize and store my belongings in the quaint place that is the playhouse.
Rewatced 210909TH, Like it better than ever. Just great. Total Square footage? I am guessing a skosh less than 400?
And OMG how well it was built. Super !! Not to mention I am learning a lot. Porch is very spiffy and the bed handy and out of the way and those windows there. DAMN ! Enjoyed the tour greatly.
Love the ingenuity of repurposing the playhouse! Hope no little kiddos were evicted. ;)
Thank you. Nobody was evicted in the making of the playhouse!
Elina said you had a cool tiny house I agree. The PCT trophy made from your shirt looks great.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the tour Irish. Very cool. You honestly seem to be mature beyond your years. Love the trophy picture thing you did with your shirt from the PCT.
Thank you! Part of me hurt to chop up the shirt I hiked the entire trail in, but I love the commemoration that it is!
Beautiful home Irish! Love your vibes
Thank you very much :)
I love this space and how you have framed your shirt and PCT medal.
It is big for a playhouse. Mine isn't even long enough to lie in. Nice to be close to Grandma.
Right! It is 6ftx7ft.
What a cool idea creative and comfortable tiny home for you and your gear and that awesome pct trophy shirt to remind you of that amazing adventure .
Grandpa would be so proud! Well done Paul! 💕
Thank you suzie!
Wasn’t expecting your tiny house to be a renovated playhouse 😂, but that’s a really cool idea and I like it.
Thank you!
Loved it mate! You've got a really nice feeling with all your videos. Just simple, honest, and genuine. Thanks for the inspiration to live a more wholesome life
Thank you very much. I hope to continue making content in a meaningful, either educational or entertaining manner!
Keep em coming Paul, your getting much more comfortable and the quality is rising even more, get out there and get filming!😁
Feel like that must’ve been a great convo “Grandma, Imma be a squatter in your playhouse. Cool?” :) love the video!
Pretty much!
Thank you by the way. :)
Dude the medal display made from your hiking shirt turned out killer!
I just made it! Thank you very much.
It's out! The video that everyone has been waiting for! Looks amazing man, I'd love to live there :D
It's quite the space! Thank you :)
Very nice
I finally decided to track down your UA-cam....
(Its kaden)
great channel your vids are much better dubbed and edited than my old vids..
(I technically have two channels this one I am commenting with is my older one I have a new channel that I just do purely for my entertainment..)
Anyway keep up the great work!
woah your videography is like a world away from your first upload. awesome!
Thank you very much! I think so too.
Hey! I sent this to one of my good friends, grace, as awesome tiny house inspo and she recognized you from a trip you guys took to Haiti together! Love your content and it’s so cool that there’s a connection! Tiny house, small world :)
Hey there! Wow, what a small world indeed. That's incredible. Grace and I haven't spoke in quite some time! Hope you enjoyed the video.
This is the coolest!
Love the Video dude!! You got some mad camera skills!!
Thanks man :)
I love your videos so mcuh!! I was wondering how you are staying connected to the outdoors during quarantine. I know I'm having a lot of trouble so I was wondering if you had any tips. Always could use some more backpacking tips too!!!
such a nice simple life style
Oh my, this is the best. I could far easier reconcile the adjustment back to RL after tentlife in that kind of abode. Time to install a rainwater tank and a solar panel!
Sick!! You are in Montana right? Would love to see some videos of the climbing there!
Awesome! Yes I plan on making all sorts of outdoor related content.
It’s so cozy! How long did it take to remodel/refurnish the playhouse? Also, are you planning on doing any more thru hikes in the future? You and Elina inspired me to try a section hike of the AT this year and a full thru hike of the AT or PCT in 2021. Love the content!
It took me slightly over a month to renovate, working on it nearly full time. There are so many adventures I have in mind. I am quite tempted by the CDT someday, but more likely the GDT and uinta highline trail in the near future. That warms my heart to hear! Get after it!
Hey I’m curious what you used on the surface of the walls? I love how you rounded the edges on some of the corners. It’s a beautiful home!
Thank you very much! The walls are pretty standard Drywall, with texture and paint. The corners are done with plastic inserts that I tacked on before texturing and painting.
You should do a pack review
Thats whats up dude🤙😎
Irish, where did you get your blanket/comforter
Goodwill!
I think you have more shoes than most of my girlfriends.
Ha, that's funny. You know me, I like a lot of shoes Bob!
Bathroom?
Dude you’re trying too hard. Get a job and live your life modestly if you wish so, but stop that nonsense.
