    Wow! Turned out a lot blonder than I thought it would be! Usually shades EQ goes a little darker, so I thought your end result would be closer to a 7/8! Beautiful color!!

    Hi! So 2 questions. Do you usually do a root toner? If so, is that included in all your foiliayage services? If not, how much extra should you charge?

  • @safijesuma282

    Love your work! Question, her hair looks very healthy but if you had a client like this come back in just to tone and their hair is damaged what treatment would you recommend adding to their toning appointment? Would you use the Redkin pH bonder as a stand alone treatment or with the toner? Thoughts? Thank you!

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  5 років тому

      i would probably use it as a stand alone treatment then tone after

    I like it also the tip of mixing N with ash tone to make not so dull. I do that too and sometimes I put a little of gold.
    Thanks for sharing. I just found your channel today. I will check your Instagram . I learn new things everyday. Do you share the formula and level of the hair of your client?

  • @bridgetlee8229

    I love this! How long did you leave her toner on for? I feel like shades goes from being right where you want it to too dark so quickly. Even when I use a 9. 😩

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  5 років тому +3

      her toner was probably on for like 5 to 7 min. If you find your toners do that a lot try mixing in some clear with your formula to slow it down so you can leave it on longer.

    Soo I tried this same technique taking diagonal back sections! Do you think thats why I achieved more of a highlighted effect rather than a balayage/baby light one?

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  5 років тому

      if you want more of a ends balayage effect dont bring the lightener up all the way.

    It was dark when you blow dried then all of a sudden it was super blonde. Did you skip that part of how you got it so light?

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  5 років тому +10

      the toners look darker when the hair it wet and also i have bad lighting over by my station thats why I always take pictures of the end result over by the front door where there is good lighting.

    • @frenchvanilla7109
      @frenchvanilla7109 5 років тому

      @@LexiDawnMcc Thanks so much for explaining. The end result color is sooo beautiful 💗

    • @mgralston1993

      Wet hair ALWAYS looks darker till you dry it. Ashy/Grey/Cool Tone/Wet hair always looks darker bc light is being absorbed by it..... isn't reflecting off of it like Gold/Beigey/Warmer Tones/Dry Hair, they reflect light so its "brighter" "lighter" etc. does that help? (:

  • @kaross93
    @kaross93 5 років тому +1

    Do you put your clients under the dryer? If not, how long does it usually take to process?

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  5 років тому

      Not usually. I will but for only 5 min at a time if they are taking a while to lift. Usually I use my hairdryer for a min and then put a towel on top of their head to keep that little bit of heat in and that helps a lot.
