@Thecoolgamer-cx9tj Same here, though admittedly I already have real life experience dealing with trash goblins in a Florida mall, so that may've helped.
I should’ve known that Boiler City was in Florida. “Florida Man goes on rampage through city to retrieve booze; gets pigment sucked off of him by demon in the process” is definitely something that would occur there.
Ian, please buy that heart. You're going to need more hearts to survive the final levels. I sure as hell did. I love this level. The secrets are pretty easy to find when you know where to look, but you have to move so fast, it becomes a question of if you'll have the time to go after them at all.
Mad mall really is the "Have you learned already how to blast through enemies/hard blocks? Well now you will" (Now looking for secrets WHILE having a timer now that's the stuff)
Since a few updates ago (or when they added a pet discount for the holidays) the pets have not worked at all, and I can’t tell if it’s a glitch or it’s an intentional prank by the devs
FIRST PLAYTHROUGH I'VE SEEN WHERE THEY DIDN'T JUST GET ALL THE DETONATORS IN MAD MALL BUT ALSO WENT BACK TO THE LEVEL TO MASTER IT YEAAAHHH Also those other two game modes when you entered the level again, Time Trial is just, well, a time trial, but with some parts slightly altered to make the level easier and time crates like in Crash Bandicoot that stop the time for 1-3 seconds (plus that's how you get the -3 seconds on the par time thing), while Combo Chain is basically Pizza Tower, everything you break, (boxes, enemies, cones) refill your combo and there's some chain token spread throughout the level to help you keep the combo going, if the meter empties you loose a hit point, you can only have 3, there's no checkpoints or beet crates AND if you get all 3 collectibles, you'll get a CRACKED rank! This level is perfect for it since you're always running and every secret is in every detonator path you take (except the green clover one)
LETS GO MAD MALL ONLY ANTONBLAST LEVEL TO CANONICALLY TAKE PLACE IN FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But honestly though, I LOVE this stage. It's a bit much on your first runthrough, but once you get it , it's so much fun to blast through. I might be making a terrible mistake by saying this but... now that you've seen that Combo Chain Mode is a thing, I'll just tell you. If you play through an entire stage and collect all 4 things, without ever dropping your combo... you'll have officially CRACKED the stage. Yes, Antonblast has a P-rank equivalent.
@batsnake__113 I thought P-Ranks weren't necessary for 100% either outside of palettes which don't count towards percentage?? But either way, YES this is not an INVITATION for you to go for it, simply making you aware of its existence. As already established, Ian is already going insane just playing this game normally, so who knows what cracking it would do.
It seems that a lot of people didn't fully understand Mad Mall's gimmick the first time through. I did, but I just wasn't fast enough for two of the detonators during my first run-through. It's an interesting idea, if nothing else, though the fact that you get kicked back to the safe if you don't beat the timer does deter exploration a bit. Also, just in case you were curious about how Time Trials in this game work, they're like Crash Bandicoot Time Trials, in that it's not so much beating the level as quickly as possible, but going through a level while breaking as many time crates as possible to stop or turn back the timer in order to beat the level within a certain time. It's a neat shout-out to Crash Bandicoot, though speaking only for myself, I don't care that much for Time Trials, with or without this time stopper gimmick, it's just not for me. It'd be interesting to see you two tackle it, though, if you want to give it a go, same with the Combo Chain mode.
AntonBlast and Echoes of Wisdom have been fun and are going smoothly, and TTYD is almost comign to its epic conclusion, but please return to Shadow Generations and Astro Bot whenever possible! Same goes for checking out many great games you guys have yet to tackle, especially now that you own a PS5! (Sonic Generations, Metaphor ReFantazio, Persona 3 Reload, Ratchet & Clank PS4 and Rift Apart, Infamous Second Son and First Light, Gravity Rush 1 and 2, Black Myth Wukong, Dragon Age Veilguard and maybe Inquisition, any of the Souls games, maybe some fighting games like Street Fighter 6 or the upcoming Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, etc)
Sorry about that! We're most likely going to keep screaming, as it's involuntary. It might be a good idea to use headphones or watch when she's not around to be safe
Mad Mall is such a weird level to talk about, I do enjoy the concept with you having to rush through each section within the time limit, but it has so many obnoxious gimmicks. The trash goblins in the blue path are annoying the chase down, the ball pit in the green path isn't particularly fun to navigate, and that stupid tape room in the red path is one of the few parts of the game I'd say are just poorly designed since it's almost impossible to hit the key AS SOON as it spawns with the cameras constantly stunning you. However if you do manage to beat each section you get awarded with tons of chips making it one of the better chip grinding stages IMO
Let's go to the mall! Whoa, surprise forced speedrun level. It's a segway, though you found that out yourself. With the way some of those boxes are arranged in the air, there's almost definitely some way to boost off of midair obstacles, too. It was very fun watching you redo the level like that! Nice job!
Day 210 of reminding everyone Ian drank Casey’s Nesquik. 210? 209? Hard to remember at this point. The days just seem to blend together eventually lol. I’m happy to be afflicted with BLG madness though. Hope they never find a cure.
this is like the best ive seen someone do on a first try of mad mall, but yeah, theres only a reward if you finish all 4 of them successfully
I saw one person get all 4 on the first try in their uploaded playthrough. I don't remember if it was on twitch or youtube though
Oh I didn’t know it was that hard, i got all 4 on my first try
@Thecoolgamer-cx9tj Same here, though admittedly I already have real life experience dealing with trash goblins in a Florida mall, so that may've helped.

YEAH THAT WAS ME, and it was kickstarter lol
I should’ve known that Boiler City was in Florida. “Florida Man goes on rampage through city to retrieve booze; gets pigment sucked off of him by demon in the process” is definitely something that would occur there.
Dynamite Anton is THE Florida Man.
I think in general most of Antonblast takes place in Florida since the creator is Floridian.
That or Anton is the Florida Man.
Thought for sure it would take place in New York.
Ian, please buy that heart. You're going to need more hearts to survive the final levels. I sure as hell did.

Yes, Antonblast has a P-rank equivalent.
GRANTED, GRANTED, is not necessary for the 100% unlike pizza tower and it's really just so you can say you did it.
@@batsnake__113 knowing Ian, he is gonna do it.
@batsnake__113
I thought P-Ranks weren't necessary for 100% either outside of palettes which don't count towards percentage??

Actually, Boiler City also takes place in Florida, and any other level thats also near Boiler City
@@theivoryguy2476 There's chef tasks in pizza tower for both getting p ranks and no hitting bosses and those add to the completion percentage.
Mad mall is not only my favorite level but the fastest one to grind money on imo
Blgqotd: that's called a Segway but unrelated fact your eyes have their own immune systems

Rip Annie's cat ;(
Best intro. Screaming annie
BLG QUESTION OF THE DAY:
The "Vespula" is a segway.

QOTD: The Blart Bike.
The first song in Mad Mall reminds me a lot of the Warioland 4 song in the Pinball level.
Ian dont scream too much next time please, you are scaring my daughter
Sorry about that! We're most likely going to keep screaming, as it's involuntary. It might be a good idea to use headphones or watch when she's not around to be safe
You slingshotted at 8:02 a little bit. You can do that for all of the blocks as well as most enemies
Oh he owned it 24:30 but I leave comment up for algo

Also Ian had an amazing first run of it by the way, 3 out of 4 isn't bad especially since he wasted a ton of time in the tape room

I have a super mega important question
Anton and Satan, both naked and oiled up,who is winning the twerk off?
Satan easily, that’s his strongest attribute!
27:02
I guess you could call him a Corn Dog.
you did better than i did the first time i played Mad Mall; i didn't get any of the detonators in time and It Sucked.
Let's go to the mall!
Whoa, surprise forced speedrun level.
